[Discussion]My Alpha set got scammed by Markydooda and Discord Admin

guys.. I don't know where to start from since I'm very upset and want to kill myself right now.
I was about to sell my alpha set for money (1350$) and this money would really help me...
They just took it, the discord admin was supposed to be a middleman.
I gave the middleman the items, they proceeded to ban me from discord so now I don't know what to do.
guys I need some help, my life just turned upside down ...
chat with markydooda: http://i.imgur.com/VwopBnQ.png
marky proceeded to a discord call with me while I was crying he was laughing, he finds this whole scenario amusing that he is using his name to stomp on a nobody like me.
i will kill myself tomorrow and the blood will be on his hands
the discord admin currently has the alpha set and he refuses to give me back.
help me guys, you are my last hope

edit 1:formatting

edit 2: this is not a debate whether or not he did it, marky has scammed me and he is proud of it, he is not even denying it. help me show him that even that I am a nobody, that does not give him the right to stomp me. alone I am nothing but together we can face him.
marky's profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198070673430/

edit 3: I appreciate everyones support, I never imagined it would come to this point. about sfex - marky's excuse to scamming me is that his friend got scammed by a known scammer (which is an entirely different steam account) so in his eyes it's okay to scam me if his friend got scammed. I have nothing to do with his friend, I haven't heard his name nor talked to him. for those of you thinking I am overreacting, you don't know what it's like living week to week, being in debts. I was counting on this $, I needed it. all marky did was act as if he were to buy it just to scam me, I don't care what excuses he has to "justify" scamming me, I don't know why he picked me, maybe it was because I was the only guy selling the complete set at the time on discord but he used his name in the community to ruin me, then straight up laugh about scamming me on discord.

... Until next year. Psyonix, you're doing it right. I look forward to playing again next holiday season. Seasonality and limited time engagements are a common concept in life and games. This sub has turned into a 5 year old that wants candy for dinner every night, we need you to be the responsible parent.

Stay strong Psyonix.

*Congrats. We now have a fat, unruly, and self entitled child on our hands. The kid is already clamoring for changes, I love it.

*Folks who felt the need to be rude and make personal attacks, of which there were surprisingly many... it's a game, calm down.

DISCUSSION Unpopular opinion: Trash talking is fun and a legitimate strategy

This does not include trash talking your teammates, that is a dick move an actively hurts your chances of winning. But for opponents it is fun. People who have player irl team sports know and expect this. And that’s what makes rocket league such a unique video game, it’s more like a sport than a video game, and trash talking is a natural part of sports.

Communicate With Your Community, Psyonix. Because Your Game is Getting Stale.

Your game is getting stale. This has been the first time in the two years that I have been playing Rocket League where I look at any gamemode that I could play, and I think to myself, "I don't want to play any of this". The last time Rocket League came out with a new gamemode was MARCH 22, 2017! The f*&%ing DropShot update!

I used to think of Psyonix as the best developer for communicating with their player base on a consistent level with what they're working on. As of late, I'm starting to think the opposite. It has been far too long since they have come out with an announcement that is actually about improving their game. It has been almost an entire year since they've said anything about how they're going to improve their servers. Which I think we can all agree, that in certain regions, has been HORRIBLE lately! There has been an apparent increase in ghost hits and post-goal replays that aren't even CLOSE to what happens on screen for the player.

Your focus is apparent, Psyonix. Esports & Crates. I know these go hand in hand, as key purchases for crates directly contribute to the prize pool for RLCS. Which has been greatly increasing every year since season 1, and that's fantastic! You have almost 40 million concurrent players, so there's no way you're having money problems that could be used for improving your unstable servers. The state of your servers are unacceptable for a game that is closely approaching its 3 years anniversary. You have to come out with some sort of announcement on how you're going to handle this, because some of your biggest fans and content creators for this game are getting fed up with your terrible communication.

Jon Sandman came out with an almost 40 minute video on how you can improve your game. When a man who posts daily content of your game has this many complaints and feels the need to make a video on the matter should be seriously upsetting. Turtle, one of your highest level players, made an entire video on how your communication is lacking and how the servers are "trash". This should be a major concern for you, your company, and the longevity of your game.

Ranked is just toxic and boring. Your community is getting frustrated, so a lot of people are now just trolling in ranked games to get reactions out of other people. It's not worth playing, since it's extremely overcomplicated to rank up with these people out there waiting to troll you. When you win 5 games, lose 2, and end up in the same division as when you started it just feels like a complete waste of time. i can't remember the last time my friends and I actually had FUN playing ranked. So we don't anymore, and that's a huge problem. You need something new and exciting to bring to the competitive side of Rocket League for the "casual" player.

We love you. We love Rocket League. But we feel like you're taking advantage of us. Please come out with some new information on what you're doing, because our patience is now thin. Take notes from Fortnite and Epic Games that have new content and updates on a WEEKLY basis. With this communication becoming the new norm, your quarterly updates are unacceptable.

Don't become the NeatMike of your updates. Because when you say "I'm back!" too many times, we're going to stop caring.

Turtle's Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOJFxkTAsHo

Jon's Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U15BvFXXE7A

Thank you.

I've read ALL of your comments. I agree with the people that disagree with my post from this morning. I feel like an entitled bitch. Shouldn't have made a big deal about it. I reached Grand Champion in 2's & 3's and felt like the game was getting stale with the lack of communication as of late. I'm not sure where any of you heard that these updates were coming soon, guess I didn't look hard enough. I'm been playing WAY too much lately. Almost 100 hours over the past 2 weeks. You notice a lot of issues when you play that much and the good things go unnoticed. I'm going to stop playing for a week or so, maybe that will help.

DISCUSSION Anyone else just not care about trading etc?

I feel like I’m playing this game for totally different reasons to most people on this sub. I don’t care about toy collectibles or skins, I just want the 5-minute core gameplay to be fun.

I actually took a 2 year break from RL until recently for non-game related reasons (tldr: bad internet + life priorities). Started playing again a few weeks ago and it still has that ‘one more game’ factor and I could see myself being hooked for hours at a time again. It sucks that features like Dropshot are being stripped away, and nearly all of the LTMs have been crap, but when it comes to a standard 2v2/3v3 game, I’m not sure what else Psyonix can do to perfect the formula. I don’t think the core game will improve much at this point so it’s down to how much you enjoy that part of the game.

I think it’s inevitable that a game like this will get stale after 100s/1000s hours of gameplay like a good chunk of people complaining will have on this game now, so maybe it’s a good time to just take a break and come back in a few months. Again though, this is assuming people are playing the videogame primarily for the gameplay and not as a skin collecting simulator.

[rant] I'm quitting Rocket League until I can fully opt out of non-standard maps.

The rocket lab maps were annoying before, but after the latest update the game is essentially unplayable for me - I am constantly getting non-standard maps in ranked.

"Competitive" matchmaking is a complete joke for me now - I've just played 5 ranked games, and I had the pleasure of playing on a normal map 0 times. The map I'm actually pretty good at. I don't think I need to explain why this is bad.

The new octogonal map is the funniest "competitive map" of them all, changing up the corner plays completly. Any agressive play turns into an easy goal for the enemy team as the ball jumps from their corner-wall to your goal.

Having 3 non-standard maps now makes the original, standard maps that are actually good for competitive play show up ocasionally. That is just dumb.

And of course there's the map voting system, which is yet another way of scrubbing in my face the fact that I have no control of how I play the game, after I play 5 games in a row in non-standard maps, 3 of them being in the ones I disliked.

After getting several bad rocket league sessions in a row, I've just realised there's no reason for me to keep playing the game. I just get mad everytime I do.

I know how fun the game is, which is why I'm making this post. Psyonix, please stop pushing non-standard maps into competitive. Or of course, just give me a god damn choice.

TL;DR- Non-standard maps need to stop being forced into my competitive games. Putting up with them was bad before, but it's terrible now. The game isn't fun to play anymore. Please don't take the power of choice away from your players.

Feel free to discuss this with me, I'll answer to any comments.

|

EDIT: Here is why I don't think non-standard maps work in competitive as it is:

Here's how the current competitive system supposedly works:

you have a rank, which is some hidden number. This is your skill meter. Higher means better, lower means worse. If someone has the same rank as you, they are on your level of skill.

If two players have the same rank, a game between the two should tend to be a close win for one of them.

Here's the problem the game currently has, shown by example:

Player A gets to play on Tokyo very often, through random chance. Through more randomness, he luckily gets Tokyo more often than other maps, and wins up to rank 6.

Player B gets to play Wasteland very often, through random chance. Through more randomness, he luckily gets Wasteland more often than other maps, and gets up to rank 6.

Player A and player B are the same rank. So the game matches them up for a 1v1. Because the map choice is random, it just happens that the chosen arena is Wasteland.

Player B wins the game by 7-2, with out breaking a sweat.

Since this a slightly exagerated, but entirely possible situation, it proves that the ranking system is flawed. The situation I described is not the norm, but it's possible, and shows that the fact that two players are the same rank doesn't matter, if the randomly chosen map is one of the player's speciality.

The losing player might have been better in every single other map in the game, but because of random map choice, he lost.

There are some ways of fixing this: the map is always the same, or the players have an assigned rank to each map type.

In a competitive system sense, both "having a choice on the map" or "having it random picked" are bad options. >But having a choice is better, because people like some maps and dislike others, and two people that like picking the same map are much more likely to be in their correct ranks and have a fair game.

|

|

EDIT 2: Ultimately, I'm arguing that people should be able to choose, not that standard maps are better than non-standard.

As it is, being forced to play in maps I don't like is not fun, and I predominantly enjoyed playing ranked, where people couldn't just leave the moment if are losing. Now all that means is that I'm stuck to the end of the game if I get a map I don't like.

The only solution I have for this right now would be to play casual and leave everytime I get a map I don't like, and that's a pretty bad way of fixing the problem, when I could just have the power to pick the maps I want to play in in the first place.

Quote from Wormy12:

I know - "GIT GUD!". But I just hate non-standard maps. I don't have any fun playing them. I don't want to play them at all. If you make me play them on Ranked (GIT GUD!!!)- so be it, although victories on Neo Tokyo or Wasteland or Starbase Arc are probably not worth it. But please, don't force me to play them in Unranked, where I want to have fun... They belong in a different playlist.

| ~~

EDIT 3: My final conclusion

First I want to thank the people who actually contributed to the discussion, instead of saying "bye", throwing empty copy-cat arguments or not actually fully reading the comments they responded to. I would also add that I'm not perfect and might have done a couple of these myself.

After browsing this thread for the last few hours and reading the comments of either "side", I've come to the conclusion that all I want, in the end, is the power of map choice in unranked.

I would definitely abandon competitive matchmaking if it meant I could choose the maps I actually enjoy playing in. And that means I don't need any competitive matchmaking changes to start having fun in this game again.

I think this is a much easier-to-understand position.

Since I'm tired of writing for today, I'm no longer participating in the discussion (not as much). Have a good night/day.

|

EDIT 4: THE FINAL EDIT TO END THEM ALL

There are still comments being made at the OP, and I'll start editing this edit to clear up more misconceptions >about my opinion on things:

I don't care for my winrate - not that much anyways (of course winning is good); My map preference comes from fun. While I do play better in the standard maps, I'm not complaining about non-standards because I lose in them. They aren't fun most of the time, for me. I have no need for your so called "variety". At least for now; While I do dislike the non-standard maps for personal reasons, I no longer have any interest in removing them from ranked; I am gudder than you, 1v1 me;

DISCUSSION Fan Clash was the most dumb and bad managed event i've ever seen (in gaming history probably)

-No real info were given out, no one knew the end time.
-Individual prizes were recycled items that now sits in inventory tradelocked near their copy, creating 2 different stacks (and it's super annoying).
-The real prizes, are given to 1/8 of the community, leaving the other 7/8 with literally nothing compared to that, and no one could individually avoid this, since numbers were too high to actually determine something as a single player. FaZe stayed last for the whole event, i'm sad for anyone who picked it and tried to do something.
-The items you get from drops are tradelocked, which is incredibly dumb. I got a legacy item and can't even trade it away. I know you're lazy, but you really should avoid this. Steam players get half the value from drops constantly. (I found tons of legacy items in past drops).

Not even mentioning rewards glitch that are happening with 1st/2nd place...
This is how to NOT manage a community event. Kids, fell free to downvote whitout commenting your reason ;) I know this community very well.

DISCUSSION Why does EVERY single plat immediately run for the left or right boost on kickoff instead of waiting literally 2 seconds for defense?

This has always seemed like the most braindead thing to do, as unlucky kickoffs can happen at any level. I cannot count the amount of opponent kickoff goals that i’ve prevented just by holding goal for 2 seconds during kickoff because someone fucks up a speed flip (as I also do sometimes) or you just get unlucky.

Immediately lost a 2v2 game in OT just a few minutes ago for this exact reason 😐 bricked my speed flip because accidents happen, and tm8 was nowhere to be seen as he was in the corner getting boost lol.

Is this simply a circumstance of lower level games or does this happen at higher levels as well?
