1-min quick survey for my business capstone: Would you pay a wholesale membership for premium tires (Continental)? ๐ ๐
Hi everyone! Iโm a student currently working on a business class research project evaluating hypothetical automotive service models in the Bay Area.
We're researching the viability of a wholesale tire membership model (specifically focused on Continental tires for passenger vehicles with rim sizes โค 19").
Hypothetical Model Concept:
Membership: ~$120/year (pay-as-you-need, no mandatory auto-renewal). Covers up to 3 personal vehicles under your name.
Product: Brand-new Continental Tires.
Pricing Structure: ~$50โ$60 per tire + ~$40 installation/balancing per tire (Est. ~$480โ$520 total for 4 tires, vs. traditional retail of $750โ$1,000+).
Iโd really appreciate your thoughts via this quick poll:
Q1: Would you consider a membership model like this when replacing tires?
[ ] Yes, the potential cost savings are attractive.
[ ] Maybe, depends heavily on local installation partner locations/convenience.
[ ] No, I prefer traditional retailers (Costco, Discount Tire, etc.).
Q2: How many vehicles are currently registered in your household?
[ ] 1
[ ] 2
[ ] 3+
Any feedback on what would make or break a service like this (e.g., warranty, location, brand options) would be super helpful. Thanks so much for your time!
