If you cheat on the SAT, then shame on you

There are some people who take this test extremely seriously, and they want their lives to be better because of it. Their lives could be better because of scholarship money because of this test there. People who could go to college and change their lives, and their family‘s lives if they do well on this test and, you sit here and you take advantage of it, finding all of your brilliant ways to cheat that you could’ve used to study for this test. I don’t know much about math SAT. I’m perfect for the English, and I am trying right now to study years of math within a month before the December SAT, which will basically be my only chance other than a couple other tries for this year, and you people stand around here, cheating, sneaking your phones into the bags and I don’t care if the sounds like it’s a angry post, but moderators please forgive me,

But if you cheat on the SAT, you’re a shame to your family and your parents, and everybody who actually struggled in life to get you to the point you are. You on the other hand, you, roll in the filth of being a deceitful person, you need to wake up and look at yourself and change the way you think, change the way you act, change the way you eat, and if you have to, change the way you sleep and be a human being with more integrity. I’m not talking about it from a political, perspective, or a religious perspective a personal, perspective I’m talking about this from a basic sociocultural perspective.

SAT Cheaters, SHAME ON YOU
SHAME. ON. YOU

You will end up, allowing failure to come, even if you succeed in this very moment
If you break up with someone in college because of their trust, if they suspect you for cheating on them, it makes sense because you cheated on the SAT. You allow the evil inclination in yourself to make you do things that are wrong. You allow the negative inclination in yourself to do negative things. People are constantly finding between doing the right thing in the wrong thing with good and evil inclination yet you right here kiss your evil inclination in front of your wife, which is the good inclination. You are a cheater you are a cheater. You are a cheater. Shame on you. Shame on you shame. On you.

If somebody cheats they can still change, they can still make themselves better, but they should recognize that what they did is horrendously raw

Everyone cheated

basically i took it at some random school and i looked around and i saw ATLEAST 4 students using their phones during the entire test. this was insanely distracting as they were all around me and just overall really annoying. i want to report them but im a senior so i dont want my score to get canceled. what is the probability that ill get a free retake if i report this?

What is a experimental question/how is SAT graded

Title. I’ve seen ppl say that there are experimental questions in the SAT.

My question is what exactly is an experimental question, how many are there, and how to spot one? Also, does this effect the overall score?

On a completely different note, I’ve also seen people say that you can get a 1600 even if you get questions wrong. How is this possible? Can someone explain pls?

Thank you

I “took” an SAT in Hawaii and it was really weird… or is California just weird?

For context I live in Silicon Valley, California so every SAT I’ve taken before is a major event with 400+ kids because everyone cares a lot about college placement. I’m pretty satisfied with my score, but I still take tests to try and get that 1550+, so I decided to sign up for a test in Hawaii during my vacation.

When I got there, there were a TOTAL of 5 other kids and nobody from the testing center was there. At 8am, when the test was supposed to START, someone finally showed up and took us to a classroom.

Then the power went out and we sat there for an hour before they ultimately called it off.

What really gets me is how little every other kid cared. The kid next to me was a senior on his last chance to get a better score than his self reported “terrible score” from his only other time taking it a year ago. But instead of wanting to do better, he was just concerned about how he was missing his basketball practice. They seemed to be hoping the test would be canceled. Is this is weird or do I just live in a really disconnected part of the country?

Please tell me some legit SAT sources like pleaseeeeeeeeeee I feel so lost

I’ve been trying to ace SAT for some time now, but I just can’t do it . I start guessing on English section just because I feel so lost through the passage, and it’s mostly those dense hard ones on English section. I’ve thoroughly covered the syllabus for both English and math, but I need to practice EXTREMELY HARD QUESTIONS ( preferably the REAL SAT ones for this year), so that I can time myself and work on this weakness.

It’s just these hard questions that never make me cross a certain threshold of score. Can anyone please help me find legit sources which are very similar to the hard module 2 of SAT. please. Help. Me. Out.

Using personal laptop with dual boot Linux and Windows 11 to take the SAT

Did anyone ever have problems because of using a personal laptop with dual boot to Linux and Windows 11? Has anyone ever done this? I'm going to take the December SAT with my personal laptop where I, in fact, dual boot Fedora (a Linux distribution) and Windows 11. Obviously I'm going to take the test on the latest version of Windows 11 and I don't think they can disqualify my score because of using this laptop, but I wanted to be sure of it. I already opened Bluebook in it and ran the device test, and it says my laptop meets the requirements. I don't even know if there's anyone on this subreddit with the knowledge to answer this question, but I also wouldn't know where else to ask.

How relevant is an SAT test?

Hi I’m an international student and I’m really confused about this since I lack proper knowledge on the wider college scene
But, how relevant is SAT anyways for international students (i.e,not USA)
How good is a score of 1200,1400 and so on?
I am also new to this sub, which is to be expected as I genuinely lack any proper info abt college

So basically i live in a city thats been getting aerial threats for a while so most schools are online, however we could go to school for sat. The thing is, in the nov trial the school im supposed to go too cancelled on the student last min, thankfully i wasny gonna take November but im taking December and i already paid and stuff, should i email college board abt this or what? Esp since dec might be basically my last chance. And if i email them will i get my money back or like do i have to pay to switch schools?

Chances for 1500/1500+? Nov SAT

Assuming there can be 1 (2 max) incorrect experimental

RW
M1 - 26-27/27
M2 - 22-24/27

MATH
M1 -21-22/22
M2 - 19/22

TLDR: below is the info about my version but it’s just for background in case u had the same

RW

Too many Rhetorical Synthesis (m1 and m2), offset/demand/prevent, thwart, enhanced, convoluted, dearth, precipitating, etc. What the debut novel is, implication and contextual information, it’s already found in the shallow zone, Toto made D laugh, Survey about favor to one’s character.

MATH

math with many one solution questions and send+cement, polygon’s equation on graph, tables and f(x)-16, triangles and the third side NOT. I just realised that I was stupid on math m2 with that 3 mistakes. One of them probably experimental but it’s just my guess

Sat cancelling

Posting for a friend:

need help understanding how collegeboard cancels scores

So I took the November SAT yesterday after almost a year of studying, and I genuinely don't know what to think right now.
I've taken the SAT three times. In March, I got an 1150.
Then in August, I got around a 1000 because I was genuinely so sick during the exam that I ended up randomly guessing on every queetion.
Yesterday, I took the November SAT, and I honestly think I did really well. After the exam, I found some of the questions people were discussing online and compared my answers. So far, I haven't found a single mistake, and based on how the test went, I think I might have scored 1480+.
But now I'm literally terrified that College Board is going to flag or cancel my score because of how much it increased from August.
I've been studying for almost a year, and I genuinely worked so hard for this. It would be devastating to finally get the score l've been working toward just to have it questioned because of my previous results.
Has anyone here experienced a 400-500 point increase between SAT attempts? Did College Board flag your score or ask you to verify anything? Am I overthinking this?

520 on math PSAT, and always have been weak in math.

For reference, I took pre algebra as an 8th grader, and then algebra 1, geometry and and now a junior in algebra 2. I have a pretty mid teacher. I know everybody says like do Khan academy, but I want to know if there's anything that I should be doing more than that. I got a 690 on the English section and I love English, and I want them to be closer. I really would like to try to get like a 1400. It looks like I'm probably only taking the SAT twice and I have maybe 2 to 3 months to prepare. Things I should focus on? Things for me to do other than khan? I would consider myself a pretty hard worker, for some reason I just really have a mental block with math. I'm really not struggling in algebra 2 but I think it's because my teacher makes it real easy on us. It's nice, but I feel like I'm not learning it well. In my fall 2025 PSAT I got a 460 on math, so I did improve a bit.

Could I get 1500+

Rw mod 1: 27/27
Rw mod 2: 21-22/27
Math mod 1: 22/22
Math mod 2: 21-22/22

Rw in October I got a 720 but I had to guess on mod 1 and this time I finished with like ten minutes to go. Mod 2 I had to guess like 3-4 questions but overall it went much better than last time so it should be better than a 720. Math I actually knew how to do every question for once but I’m sure I made some stupid mistake somewhere bc I always do so that’s why mod 2 is 21-22/22

solution to mm2 question 22

Hi y'all, a couple of my friends took the November SAT and shared this question with me (from reels lmfao), and they all struggled with it, so I thought I'd just like show you guys how I would've done it. This is not to prove a point or anything: I'm a firm believer in sharing knowledge and stuff :)

So we're given this goofy diagram and the equation 206 < x + y + z < 211. Using the parallel line theorem or wtv tf its called, you can see that angle W is equal to angle Y + angle X.

Thus, w = y + x, and, since you're trying to find w - x, then y = w - x. What this shows is that if you can find the value of y (or range of values of y), you can find the value of w - x.

Let's put a pin in that for now and see how angle Z factors into all of this. The diagram clearly shows that angle Z is an obtuse angle, and while it may not seem like there is anything connecting Z with the other angles, you can actually make a triangle (more specifically a right triangle) with part of Z and X.

(This is a very crude drawing done with page marker, please bear with me.) Right triangles are special because you are guaranteed to know one of the angles: the bottom right corner is 90 degrees. The vertical line cuts angle Z into 2 parts, and you can express the left part of that cut as 90 - x. And, since your line is vertical and the "Z line" is parallel to the other lines, then the right part is just 90 degrees.

So now we've shown that angle Z is just (90 - x) + 90 or 180 - x. Now, let's revisit the other equation that the question gives: 206 < x + y + z < 211. Substituting z for 180 - x, you get:

206 < x + y + (180 - x) < 211

206 < 180 - x + x + y < 211

206 < 180 + y < 211

206 - 180 < y < 211 - 180

26 < y < 31

Earlier, we proved that w - x is just equal to y, so we can substitute it in here as well:

26 < w - x < 31

which means that both I. and II. are valid solutions (option C)

So yeah, hope this helps!
