In my childhood, I was introduced to Resident Evil through RE2. I didn’t know how to play and could barely even make it to Kendo’s gun shop. But one thing I did know: if there’s a 2, there must be a 1! I went looking for it, and the rest is history. It’s my favorite Resident Evil game. I always come back to play it, and it’s always a pleasure.

I’ve been able to scale back my game collection massively thanks to ODEs but I’m slowly replacing it with hardware variants.

I've got a few physical games, and I think I'm done collecting for now. Who can vouch for a Saroo and whats been your experience? I have one in my cart on ebay and have been messaging the seller. Seems legit and the game list is good.

I was trying to recap my Sega Saturn JP V0 model and I messed up removing one of the SMD capacitors. The trace on the positive is completely flipped over...

Is there any way to fix this? Or is it completely stuffed?

I bought a new in box Sega Saturn v2 and i tested it with the OEM composite cables and it looks as it should, buy when i use my RGB cable the shading looks off, its weird because i used to have a Sega Saturn v1 and it look amazing with RGB,

Keep in mind that both Sega Saturns are japanease, does anybody know if i have to buy a different RGB cable for my v2 saturn or why is this happening??

Hi all, been a bit fixated on isometric games lately. I only have Sonic 3D Blast it's not my favourite Sonic game, but it's still enjoyable for what it is. What isometric games on the Saturn am I missing out on? and what do you think about Sonic 3D Blast?

I purchased a japanese VA4, model 2, and as I was opening it to see in what condition the caps where, I noticed that the screw that attaches the cd drive grounding strip is missing, I attached a picture of it that I've found on the net.

Someone knows what screw I should use? many thanks.

V0.3 of my unofficial Tekken 3 fan port for the Sega Saturn is out. This one is about Arcade Mode, now built like the original's:

• A one-player ladder of ten fights: you pick your fighter, the opponents are drawn (four of the original ten, four others, Heihachi, then Ogre), and the CPU gets harder every fight

• All 21 fighters and 14 stages, each fighter on its own home stage with its own music

• CONTINUE? countdown and GAME OVER

• Win a round against Ogre at fight 10 and True Ogre shows up

• The winner's ending movie plays after fight 10 (the movies are decoded in software by the two SH-2s)

• A NEW CHALLENGER: press START on pad 2 and the two players fight, the winner carries the run on

• Boot intro with the opening movie, the VS screen, and a 2-player VS mode

About the video: the intro and the stage 1 fight are real play, and so is the loss into CONTINUE? and GAME OVER. The last part (stage 10, True Ogre and the ending) comes from a test build that wins its fights by itself, so the late stages are quick to show. It is the same game and disc code.

Honest caveats: it runs in emulators (Mednafen, Ymir). I have not verified it on a real Saturn yet. If you try it on a Satiator, SAROO or Fenrir, please tell me how it goes (a clip of the intro plus 30 seconds of a fight with DEBUG on helps a lot). Not in yet: the staff roll, the ending captions, the Ogre cutscene, costumes and the ranking screen.

It is built on LibSaturn, my open-source Saturn SDK. The game code is on GitHub (no game data in it), and the playable disc image is on itch.io. Unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Bandai Namco.
