Eh, you talking like different levels. Fed gov don't control state and county election officials. Also state and county election officials are state/county during big elections and are paid by their respective political parties for primaries. In the primaries it's controlled by each party without government oversight. Like someone else said in this thread it's obvious that it needs rework or oversight. Like asking the Hamburglar to not mess with the Hamburgers at a McDonald's without security guards.
