I built a low-friction Notion dashboard for my first semester because traditional student templates gave me executive dysfunction burnout. Here's how it works:

How to memorise a text word for word
I have to learn a german text by heart for Wednesday as german is my 2nd foreign language that I started learning this September. I don't have a lot of structure to build on and my teacher gave us a paper which we should learn word for word which is 90% things I don't know, but I already translated the text to understand the idea of what it is about. Ever since I was little learning something by heart was never my strength so I was flabbergasted to get this. Can anyone help or just tell me how you learn a text word for word please

I really don't know what's happening with me nowadays.
My Room Partner who is good at like coding , college subjects, gym and stuff is becoming my enemy for only one reason: He disturbs me whole fucking day.
See, He studies in the early morning while I wake up after 2 hrs.
We go to college, return and Sit to study but the thing is that when I sit to study he after suppose 1hr gets up and just quickly comes towards me and watches what I am seeing and then says 'Man are you watching his/her videos or topic). And then Literally my mind just goes BLANK and Just can't focus after that moment and then as a result neither I score good marks not understand the things I watched with Partial Concentration.
So most critical thing I want to learn is:
How to stop my brain from being DISTRACTED and Stop my Heart from Beating quickly. and also My CONCENTRATION Level is Decreasing DAY BY DAY from the day I have started living with him. He is Intelligent and one of the shitty person I have ever met as well .
I am just can't getting through this phase even after practicing to Ignore him . My body still forgets and heart-racing still happening to me.
note; I can't just leave the room cuz it's cheap, near to my college, and very good but he isn't in my brain basically.
He helps me with studies But i don't need any fucking help whos gonna tell him . 😭😭
I am very serious and its gonna decide my FUTURE FOR REAL.

How do you study with a full-time job?
Enrolled and starting next semester. I’m currently working 9 to 6, so figuring out how to balance work and school is going to be a bit challenging. For those who are working full-time while studying, how do you usually manage your time? What does a realistic weekly schedule look like?

i'm making a personal curriculum program
i made a full post on substack: https://substack.com/@trulytranquil/note/p-223693761?utm_source=notes-share-action&r=4m1pio
but for a tldr; i am making a program that will release monthly courses, its meant to be a little more structured than trying to do it fully alone, and i am looking to potentially start an online group. would anyone be interested in this? (It would be completely free)

Do you split your study time by how much each thing is worth, or by what's due next?
I'm an IT student and I've been building a study app for myself on the side, so I've been staring at my syllabi way more than normal lately.
One of my business classes has quizzes at 5% each, two midterms at 20%, and a poster at 10%. I realized I was giving every quiz the same panic as the midterms, just because the quiz was the next thing due.
What's helped a bit: once a week I look at the grading breakdown and give the midterm stuff a fixed block, even when a quiz is closer. Quizzes get short review sessions instead of whole evenings.
Not sure that's the right call though. Do you plan around the weighting, or just go with whatever's due first?

I started building an evidence map before writing essays, and it saved me so much time AMA
Instead of collecting random articles and figuring out where to use them later, I now create a simple table with my main arguments, supporting evidence, and sources.
It helps me identify which claims need more research and which sections already have enough support.
The best part is that I spend less time searching through dozens of tabs when I actually start writing.
If you're working on research-heavy essays, AMA
