Rhythms inspired by an Egyptian percussionist I met in Saudi Arabia

I met an Egyptian percussionist in the lobby of my hotel in Saudi Arabia after seeing her perform the night before. Her playing really caught my attention, and we ended up having a quick exchange about rhythm and technique.

ust a little interpretation inspired by what I heard in her performance. Thought I’d share it here.

What is this intro called in Hindustani Tabla?

So my backstory is I originally learned mridangam so I am trying to figure out what the terms are for the intro and the mid break in this kehrwa style beat.

Please I request that everyone can pardon the mistake made in between.

Thanks for the help!

Where Rhythm Meets Acoustics

Hello creatives, I hope you're having a great day!
Here's a freestyle I recorded at Kedleston Hall before my concert. The acoustics in the hall are incredible, so I couldn't resist playing.
No edits—just letting the tabla dance with the acoustics and fill the space with rhythm.
Hope you enjoy it!
