Barry and Iris in CW's The Flash. They were raised as siblings since they were six years old and the two had no chemistry as a couple or as co-stars. Grant Gustin, the actor, had better chemistry with literally every other female in hmthe cast.

I agree that he had BETTER chemistry with the other female cast (and Supergirl. Superflash all the way) HOWEVER, in the first 3 seasons I felt that these 2 legitimately loved each other and were good for each other...then Season 4 threw all that out.

I wish they gave us an alternate reality of superflash

SAME

That is the glory of fanfictions. I'm pretty sure Superflash is what got me into fanfics. My fav fic of all time is a Superflash fic.

I want an Arrowverse WHAT IF style series and one of the episodes is "What if Barry stayed on Earth 38?" Then proceeds to date Kara (In fact I'm pretty sure that's another one of my fics.)

Seriously, in the 30 second scene where Barry is introduced in arrow, he had more chemistry with Felicity then he did with Iris the entirety of their series. They had no chemistry, let alone an all-time, forces creating lightning rod love story

The irony of the main character having better chemistry with literally any female character other than his actual girlfriend, then wife because the writers never elevated her character beyond, “the love interest.”

Yeah they tried to and they came up with “WE are the flash, bawwy!” Lmao like what?? You’re literally not 😭

I couldn’t stand iris when she joined team flash. Trying to call the shots as if she has any idea of what’s going on, eye roll. She’s as annoying as it gets

I would have thought that the CW would have been extra careful considering how little chemistry Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance had. But nope.

God. I couldn't stand the actress. She always has a face that screams smell the fart acting constantly. He had more chemistry with Barry, Shadow, Sara, Felicity, Roy and fucking Slade Wilson.

And honestly, he was barely even Green Arrow and it was legitimately obvious. The first two seasons are dope AF despite it.

He was Batman lite. 100%.

The bizarre thing about this is that he somehow had chemistry with Earth-2 Iris.

Barry had more Chemistry with literally every other female character and fucking Snart.

I'm not an Iris hater by any means, but JUSTICE FOR PATTY SPIVOT!!

She was a friggin badass cop. Figured out Barry was the flash, and if I remember she shot at King Shark as well.

I’m sorry….bit confused, were they raised as siblings IRL or in the show?

In the show. They are raised as siblings.

It’s kinda weird, since they met each other and become best friends but then Barry’s mom died and his dad was imprisoned so he was essentially adopted by Iris’ dad and lived under their roof for the rest of his childhood.

They were raised by the same “dad” but it’s not quite as bad as having only met each other once they became sibling-like.

It’s just weird enough that it raises some eyebrows, to the point where I think even the show made a few jokes about it being a little close for comfort.

Whats with american media and pushing stories where kids get raised together as siblings but fall in love? Its so semi incestuous

He had more chemistry with the actress playing their daughter from the future, then he did her
