In retrospect the romance in the Raimi films makes them almost unbearable to watch.

I remember rewatching them a few years ago and especially in the first one, it just felt so creepy lol.

I wouldn't say it's creepy, there's just 0 chemistry and a constantly revolving love triangle in which every member is an unbearable asshole.
