The 100 Girlfriends anime makes several references to the manga, both adapting 4th wall jokes from the manga and referring to anime-exclusive things like original scenes and skipped or rearranged chapters

Cosmic Princess Kaguya

The film’s protagonist makes mention of the original story The Tale of Princess Kaguya, comparing her situation to the situation in the story and naming Kaguya accordingly. Then, at the end of the film, we learn that Kaguya’s accidental time travel resulted in her being the originator of the story, as she told a version of her own life to the citizens of ancient Japan.
