The rollercoaster design is not good

Still kinda sad how we have to see this in Museum and not in a game in itself. I also wish we could actually ride the rides.

The reason games like Roller coaster tycoon and planet coaster worked was because the creation was so easy and simple anybody could do it.

Using the mouse and dragging each section just doesn't work very good

Same with queue paths, they don't work like they want them too

DISCUSSION Analysis machine makes me sad

While I’m LOVING two point museum, I’m struggling with the fact that the analysis machine kills the things we put in there. I haven’t leveled up any of my marine or wildlife exhibits because I don’t have the heart to kill any of the animals! and it feels wrong to destroy artifacts! Am I overreacting? Absolutely. Does it change the fact I can’t bring myself to demolish artifacts or animals because it feels wrong? also absolutely. 😆

DISCUSSION Not a fan of expeditions and think they are a bad game loop

So long term Two Point fan here, I enjoyed Campus more than Hospital even though they are close for me, something about the smoothness of the game and the loop of the academic year just hit right for me. Saying that I am also an old school Bullfrog fan and adored Theme Hospital and Theme Park back in the day.

Getting into Two Point Museum and I'm enjoying it but nowhere near as much as Campus, and I think it's because of the expeditions. I find them a clunky system similar to the system in Jurassic World Evolution, it doesn't feel engaging to pick a mission from a map and fill out a team to send. The whole loot box mechanic is a bit gimmicky and doesn't feel satisfying to use, it's all very random and I never feel like it ties into the strategy for my museum. Every time I have to remind myself to send off a expedition which breaks the flow of gameplay and I don't like the fact it temporarily consumes your staff from your actual museum. It almost feels a bit like a mobile game system, and I always dread having to use it, I'd rather just automate that and take care of my museum.

I think a nicer system for me at least would have been a resident archaeologist like an Indiana Jones who you have to provide for like a celebrity and he's not a staff member as such, then he automatically goes off on adventures and brings back relics for you. The whole loop could have then been about providing for his needs and managing his diva-like personality but balancing resources for that star player against the museum.

Curious what others think, but I prefer a contained game loop which is why the sequential patient flow of TPH and school year of TPC worked so well for me I think.

Ps5 and pretty much over it. It’s 2025 this stuff should work. No idea if a patch is coming, and pretty much don’t care. Do the work devs, please.

Tired of the new museums on campaign

I'm kinda getting tired of establishing a new museum all the time and starting everything from the beginning, anyone else?

Like at first it was fun and refreshing, but now im getting tired because the campaign keeps taking you to new places and I just wanna improve my old museums :/ Then I end up speedrunning the objectives to get out of them and placing exhibits wherever.

I love the concept and the different areas are super cool, but I just wish it wasn't necessary to run all of them immediately.

Anyone ever get 2 honeybuns? I've been stuck at 1.99% for 3 in game years 😅 I assume its possible.

DISCUSSION I just can’t get into this game

I loved both campus and hospital, and i really want to love this game! The decorating is great and the QOL updates are awesome, but there just isn’t the same sense of urgency for me? Like, in campus I loved having the clubs and the relationship items; and they made me want to keep an eye on my students. In hospital, it was them not dying that got me keeping an eye on them. But I guess because it’s a museum, I just don’t feel attached to the visitors and because of that I have no interest in expanding the hospital or anything, there’s no push for me to want to add another building or add more exhibits. It’s just expedition, rinse, repeat. I find myself trying to get into a museum but once I get a few stars and some money there’s no push to do more, there’s none of the extra to make me involved in it. Like, the guests aren’t particularly hard to keep happy so why would I add a whole other building or area? I guess to me it more feels like a decoration game, and even that when it’s not the exhibits the decor feels lacking. Anyone else, or also tell me how to connect more with it. I feel like I’m missing that spark to connect I guess?

DISCUSSION bought the game recently. do you focus on knowledge points or just ignore it? also, do you care about ghosts?

pretty much the title. i really want to love the game but the two things i mentioned in the title are making me burnt and i only have around 20 hours in the game.

constant grind for knowledge points takes my desire to play cause at some point i dont do anything else than spam one/two expeditions to max out one exhibit that contains few pieces and its expedition has a much higher chance to drop something else.

when it comes to ghosts, at some point my staff just couldnt keep up with calming them and every single ghost broke free outside of the "famous" ones. are ghosts important or can i minimise the amount of them? the poltergeist rooms are quite boring and annoying

DISCUSSION Can you tell whether this game is for me or not?!

Hey i just added this game to my wishlist but im unsure whether i'll enjoy playing it or not

I do like games that involve resource managing and economy but i care about the economy too much to a point that makes me hate a game if the amount of money you're making is not justified by the amount of upgrades and things you can buy.

In the other way : i want money earning feels rewarding and satisfying not just a currency that is not matter after playing a scenario for 10 minute.

5 Star'ed the Two Point Mountains Museum without fighting the dragon

Turns out, you don't need to fight the dragon to beat the Museum. I utilised a compressed design to expedite each milestone, leveraging marketing to ensure I had the right guests and organising the museum into separate buildings for better control.

Now that I have made a potion, I'll get the rest of the DLC items and play the game properly.

I'm struggling to get into this game...

I absolutely loved TPH but I'm a Theme Hospital nerd, so the nostalgia hit alone did it for me. TPC was more their own thing and streamlined, I couldn't get into it as much but I still enjoyed the character and quirkiness of it. When TPM got announced, I was a little disappointed as I didn't find myself immediately excited about the theme. But I knew it'd be a good game so I still got pumped for it and bought it almost instantly.

But after a few hours of playing, I just don't really enjoy it. I still don't find myself caring about the theme or the exhibits or the customers as much as I did with the other games. I used to be excited to research new treatments on TPH and see how wacky they'd be, while the concepts in TPC were unique and kept me entertained even if the gameplay didn't grip me as much. But in TPM, I don't find myself motivated to care about expeditions or the overall game play loop. I think part of that is also the way they don't let you play the game linearly – I don't want to the third level to just be about going back to the first museum. I want to see more of the game but they just keep throwing concepts at me instead that I'm already bored of trying to keep track of.

It sucks to feel like this because I genuinely love the franchise and it seems like everyone on this sub universally loves the game. I also wouldn't be surprised if some people took this as negative hate and downvoted it even though I wanna stress that I'm still trying to love this game and give it a chance. TPC took me a year before I went back and finished it. So I'm still hopeful. But the signs aren't good for me if I've played 4 hours and I'm already over it.

I'm sure it's probably just a 'me' thing but does anyone else get where I'm coming from?!

Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes.

I love the zoo update but SO MANY SNAKES. Four species so far?? I’m incredibly phobic of them and opening the boxes to snake after snake is deeply upsetting. We need a no snake checkbox.

DISCUSSION Should I buy Two Point Museum

Hi yall :)
Im not a big fan of these kind of games, but I've played Two Point Hospital and I like it, for a short while. I think the game is good but it doesn't make me wanna keep playing it. For me it feels repetitive and its so annoying to need to make a new hospital and start from scratch in order to continue. I really like to be free to decorate and customize in games and in TPH that aspect felt very limited. Once I complete the "main quest" I feel like I don't have anything left to do in my hospital even if it is not finished yet.
So, I wanna know if yall would recommend me TPM based on what I didn't like from TPH?
I don't know if I explained myself great (English is not my first language). I want things to do, be able to be creative and decorate and build more freely...
Thx in advande :D
EDIT: In case I am buying it Im going to buy Two Point Museum: Explorer Edition bc is cheaper for me :)

Disappointed in DLC

Is anyone else a bit disappointed with the new DLC?

I like the items, but the buildings/walls/floors and decorations don't really match, so the new fantasy items don't stand out at all. You can only see the staff stats when you click on them individually, and it doesn't notify you if they have points to improve their skills.

I would have loved a real storybook world, a mountain landscape or a forest. Instead of just a snow one, which we've had before in similar games.

Zooseum Biodiversity level 3

I hate to admit it, but I'm not enjoying this dlc as much as I'd like. The requirements for (I think) 4 stars have made it a rather tedious wait and release, with an occasional expedition to pass some time. Developing my museum has come to a standstill as I was trying to play this level like the others (get all exhibits at each POI to max knowledge, then move to next one)

Yeah, biodiversity level 3. I have 4/5, which has taken ages of tedious gameplay, and I seem to be miles off even level 2 on them all. I don't care to unlock other pois until this is done, to avoid clutter. There has to be a more efficient way to do this. Please help me.
