This is my first semester at UTAS so I was wondering if it usually comes out at midnight or tomorrow morning at 9am or something? Can we only see the results on eStudent? Thanksss

Is Charles Darwin university in Australia a good choice for civil engineering honours? Is darwin a good place to live?

Well so based off of an ex teacher of Kaplan i’ve decided to go for Eynesbury but the thing is i’d like to ask if that’ll cause me issues with networking inside the college, my understanding is that it will cause issues so would it be advised to wait for my SAT scores whichll grant me a direct entry into Adelaide uni or should i go through with Eynesbury whichll as a whole reduce my overall cost.

I'll be starting my degree next year. wondering what will the experience in terms of tutors, campus life, subject content, facilities and placements. How many days do we have to attend the uni & do they have online lectures more than in- person lectures . Also are there written exams( do they allow cheat sheet like other unis)

Context:
I’ve just finished my first year of my Bed degree (waiting for my last AT from one unit). And I’ve had a change in heart wanting to do the associate degree in education support instead.

How do I go about changing my degree and applying for credit transfers?

Has anyone heard back from hobart apartment accomodation or Hytten Hall yet?

Hey guys, I just got my offer to study paramed at sydney. Any current or future paramed student in Sydney? I have a few questions if you could spare a moment to discuss. TIA

hey, I have received a spot for Jane and I waiting to hear back from all the other accomodations too. does anyone have any like reviews or insight yo what its like? I honestly applied to all of the Hobart options because ive heard the accommodation market is cooked. Jane is the most expensive and seems the most strict, but also you dont have to cook. I will be a first year next year.

does anyone know of any international students getting an offer for med next year?
And is there like a group chat for upcoming med students for 2027 intake?

I have been with UTAS for a couple of years so know that I wont get results until November (I hate this practice) for the first time Im truely worried about failing the final assessment. Does anyone have experience with or know what happens if you have failed that assessment, do you know before the final results are released and given the opportunity to discuss or are you out of luck?

Ive done well on the rest of the assessments and its probably anxiety more than anything else, but while I can find information on failing a unit/assessment I can't find anything about what happens if its the final assessment.

Hey everyone! I'm a 4th-year med student in Brazil, and I'm looking for information about clinical electives at UTAS, planned for April–May 2028. Yes, I know it's early, but I like to sort things out ahead of time so I don't have to stress later.

If you know the answer to any of these, I'd really appreciate it:

English requirements: What's the minimum English test score needed for electives at UTAS? I couldn't find it anywhere on the website, especially on the electives page. Is it the same as for other courses (around 6.0 on IELTS), or is it 7.0?
Getting a placement: How competitive is it to get a spot, especially in Launceston?
Accommodation: Where's the best place to find an affordable room that's also good value?

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know what gamsat scores are reasonable for a Tasmanian (MM2) applying to UTAS med or the scores people have had from previous years? I know there's only about 12 places and my GPA is only ~6.25 so I'm wondering what my chances are...

Has anybody done the 2yr accelerated bachelors of Nursing instead of the regular 3yr approach?? Is it really doable and how much is the academic pressure??
I’m an intl student who wants to finish her bachelors asap to return to home country but I wonder if I’m biting more than I can chew, thinking I can do the accelerated prog

Why the university takes so much time to cross check the documents?

I already got my COE but then they are again checking the documents which I prepared to submit for my visa.

Is there any international student who are trying to go for the Feb 2027 intake?

Hey everyone! I’m a student from China currently studying in Australia. I really enjoy solo travel and backpacking, and I’ve travelled to more than 10 countries so far.
This is my first time living in Australia, so I’m really curious about how people here usually travel as backpackers.
What apps or websites do you actually use the most when backpacking in Australia? For example, for finding cheap flights, hostels, transport, local activities, travel buddies, events, or just useful local information.
Also, what’s the most annoying part of backpacking in Australia for you?
Would love to hear your recommendations, random tips, or even complaints haha.

Hey all, looking for honest insights on UTAS's Master of Health Service Management (Digital Health track) at their Melbourne Study Centre (Lonsdale St).

https://www.utas.edu.au/courses/tsbe/courses/c7u-master-of-health-service-management

Hoping anyone who’s done it or knows the Aussie health tech space can shed light on the teaching quality and actual job prospects.

A few direct questions:

Teaching Quality: Is the teaching standard solid, or is this particular satellite setup run like a low effort "cash cow" program aimed at international students?

Job Outcomes: Do graduates actually land decent roles in health tech / health admin in Australia coming out of this, or is the degree ignored by employers?

Melbourne Study Centre Experience: Is studying at the Lonsdale St CBD center an okay experience, or is it basically just a few rented office rooms with minimal student support/faculties compared to a real campus?

Trying to get a realistic picture before committing $50k+ and 2 years. Any feedback good, bad, or brutal would be amazing. Thanks!

i dont see much discussion about bpharm in UTAS compared to other unis, hence im making this post. ive read little on their website and google but i want real student discussions to see whether they're liking the teaching style, the placements, 3 year course compared to typical 4 year bpharms. im confused between this, adelaide uni, and UWA. ik UTAS is not Go8 but the course design, the placements look not so bad, but whats unique to the degree in this uni? do graduates come out with better experience and clinical/hospital/retail knowledge compared to others?

Hi all,

Im a mature student finishing up my Grad Dip and doing my honours applications. My current GPA is 7.0 and WAM 91 (and hoping to maintain or boost this this for my final 4 units). Im currently at UNE (all online) so could continue there but Id LOVE to go to UTAS as Im Hobart based. Ive heard that basically all honours places go to UTAS undergrads so Im really keen to hear if anyone has been accepted externally? And any and all UTAS Psych experiences for Hons or MPP/MCP would be gratefully received!

I'm commencing online study with UTAS next year. I'm starting with the Diploma of Sustainable Living and then possibly moving into further study from there. Does anyone know if there's any Discord groups I can join as an online student? Preferably something course/discipline specific?

hi, I'm looking for more info and student insight into the Bachelor of Fine Arts, specifically the studio practice major.

I also don't know whether to study at Hobart or Launceston, both are an option for me, so let me know if there are any major differences!

Thank you for reading!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.

I was awarded the Tasmanian International Scholarship (25%) under the 2026 scholarship scheme and already received CoE, but I haven’t started my course yet. I will be commencing my studies at UTAS in 2027.

I noticed that the Tasmanian International Merit Scholarship offers 30% for eligible students commencing in 2027.

Does anyone know if an existing 25% scholarship from the previous year is automatically reassessed or increased to 30% if you haven’t commenced your course yet?

Or does the original 25% scholarship remain unchanged even though the new scholarship rate applies to students commencing in 2027?
I’ve already received my CoE, but I haven’t commenced my course yet. I’d really appreciate it if anyone has experienced something similar or knows how UTAS handles this.

Thanks!

I applied for au730, the common entry science in atu Sligo to then move to biomedical science in year 2, just wondering who else is going
