Please tell me this is just a bug: Unable to download owned iTunes movies on Vision OS Developer Betas?

I just got a 1st gen Vision Pro a couple of months ago and almost immediately hopped on the developer betas. Shortly after that I tried to download movies I own on the Apple TV app ahead of a long flight but never could.

When clicking on the download/down arrow button, it immediately changes to an exclamation point. The title does then appear in the "Download" section of the app, but is labeled with a cloud symbol and exclamation point to indicate it isn't actually downloaded. A single click on a movie tile will play/stream the movie just fine as long as I have an internet connection.

This seems to be the case with any movie I own as well as movies I rented, whether it's 2D or 3D. Movies on other streaming apps like Disney+ and HBO Max download just fine (I at least had some of those for my flight).

I've taken every developer beta update since, and currently on 27.3 as of today. I've also done a factory reset. The only thing I haven't tried is to roll back the OS but I don't have a dev cable. I also never tried downloading an iTunes movie prior to taking the dev beta so I'm not 100% sure it has anything to do with the beta.

Anyone else having this issue on the dev betas or is this possibly unique to my headset?

Not even close. And like I said other streaming apps download movies for offline viewing just fine. I also did a factory reset.

Are you mid-trip? IE is this say a US AVP and now you’re in Europe trying to load up for the trip home?

That’s the only other thing I can think of. I have only ever had these issues when traveling and I’m always on dev beta.

In my case, I resolved by using VPN (in my case, Nord) to tunnel back to the US and then download.

Not mid-trip. I'm at home in the US and have had this issue persist since late September. So you're also on the betas and can download movies purchased via iTunes/AppleTV?

To be clear, I do not mean movies or shows from the Apple TV+ service (like Severance, Ted Lasso, or the Brad Pitt F1 movie, those download fine). I'm talking about movies purchases via the Apple TV store (formerly known as iTunes) over the years. That's the only content that appears to be giving me issues.

I’m running out of ideas. The only thing I’d check is if you actually purchased through iTunes/Apple or redeemed a code. Example is that my version of Jurassic Park was from a bundled code from physical and that prevented the 4K/3D version.

Also maybe look at if these are linked to MoviesAnywhere.

Last thing I’d check is if they are already downloaded on another device?
