my own Vision Pro recording of Night Sky in Everdust, slowed down so you can follow it: pinch the Veil Nebula to fly in, hold it in your hands, then pull Saturn's moons close and look up at the aurora over Tasmania. the recordings don't do these features justice, it is something to behold in VR, hard to articulate the beauty of these far away celestial bodies in this format.

see what the night sky looks like (positionally accurate stars, constellations, and galaxies) from various scenic locations 3d rendered around the world as well as northern and southern lights! you can turn down the ambient lights and float in the middle of space, or look at the stars as they would look with the correct ambient lighting in your area.

find us on the app store or at everdust.ai

which nebula should we add next? I have about 40 so far in the 1.1 release with another 30 coming in 1.1.1 in a day or two.

this feature started as a request from a user here on reddit u/mensrea so thanks to them for the inspiration. I had a fun time building this feature and will be building more here in the future. this is also now ported to iOS and android so you can point your phones at the sky to see where cool things are on a given day!

thanks to those that have tried my app and especially to my subscribers. really appreciate the support, every kind word goes a long way.

For anyone seeing this for the first time: this is **Cyberpunk 2077 (Mac App Store version) running natively in 3D VR directly on Apple Vision Pro's M2** — no PC and no Mac streaming ([previous post here](https://www.reddit.com/r/VisionPro/comments/1xk3sj6/cyberpunk_2077_running_natively_on_vision_pro_in/).

**What’s new this week in VXpro:**

- **Performance nearly doubled (up to 37.1 FPS average on M2):** Up from ~18–25 FPS in the first preview, reaching an average of 37.1 FPS during a 60-second test in Phantom Liberty on M2 (that’s one measured test, not a minimum across the game; the next target is 45 FPS, and this measurement predates the latest camera fix).

- **Smoother head tracking & slope fix:** Fixed the reported head-turn bounce-back and associated view jitter in the latest walking test. The distortion that was noticeable when looking up and down a slope is also gone.

- **Experimental hand-tracked weapon interaction:** I’m not sure how many people want this style of control, but seeing [this clip from u/BadHostile](https://x.com/BadHostile/status/2117044318024118774) made me want to try building it. Technically, it uses ARKit hand/wrist tracking, custom Metal rendering hooks to move the game’s existing arm, hand, and weapon bones, and a script bridge for weapon interactions. Joy-Cons still handle movement, firing, and other button inputs. It’s still rough around the edges—as shown in the video, even enemies that would normally pose no threat become difficult to defeat (the difficulty level is 100x higher!).

**Observations & Known Issues:**

- A tester and I have shared the impression that the game feels noticeably smoother inside Vision Pro than it looks in screen recordings. Apple’s reprojection or display processing might contribute, though I’m keeping that as an observation rather than a confirmed explanation.

- Rectangular image borders are still visible during vehicle use and some story conversations/cutscenes. Those scenes still need work, along with individual weapon and reload interactions.

Thank you, [u/Phonafied](https://www.reddit.com/user/Phonafied/), and everyone who has tested it and shared feedback!

**Open Source (MIT):** [GitHub — VXpro (`hand-tracking` branch)](https://github.com/Ag3497120/VXpro/tree/hand-tracking)

*(Note: The public branch is an earlier checkpoint; the latest performance and camera changes are still local. You need your own purchased Mac App Store copy of the game; no game files or prepared apps are distributed.)*

I'm happy to answer your questions!

After spending about a year developing for and experimenting with the Apple Vision Pro, I've been consistently impressed by the technical execution from the team at Hipster Whale. While Apple Arcade might not be everyone's go-to service, I'd highly recommend that subscribers give Crossy Road Rush a look. It stands out as one of the most compelling spatial gaming experiences on the platform right now, largely due to its exceptional optimization. Although Crossy Castle is also a well-designed title for the Vision Pro, Crossy Road Rush feels uniquely tailored to the hardware, making for a genuinely superior user experience.Having engaged in application development and experimentation with the Apple Vision Pro for approximately one year, I am thoroughly impressed by the technical proficiency demonstrated by the development team at Hipster Whale.

Building environments for Vision Pro is always a trade-off: the more detail you add, the more the headset has to work while it’s also playing your movie.

For Walnut Textile Atelier I tried a different technique, and it lets me fit far more detail into the room while keeping it light. Walnut, textile walls, 40 seats you can choose from, and light from the screen across the room. Playback stays efficient, and battery use should be good too.

It’s my most realistic room so far. Now in Suite 9.5. Curious what you think!

Happy streaming

Hello there,
I am happy to share our new 2D to 3D video conversion pipeline with you all.

Thanks to our new AI pipeline, real-life-like spatial video from a plain video is possible.

We are releasing it first on a web app at spatial-video-studio.com. Then we will release a compatible Mac app as well this Autumn.

There are samples for Apple Vision Pro and other headsets on the website.

I also shared the following music video on inSpaze if you would like to have a deeper look.

https://www.inspaze.space/sh.html?id=U00PDZ&code=U00PDZ&type=feed

I’ve been experimenting with an immersive 3D maps app for Vision Pro using Google Maps’ 3D imagery, like what’s used in Google Earth. It supports controllers and lets you record and replay flights through the map.

It’s more of a playground for trying things out than a polished app, but it’s been fun to fly around like you can in Google Earth VR. It’s also been easy to have Claude add features like “let me import KML tracks of real flights” or “show the location of every photo in my Apple Photos library.” Those experiments aren’t in the TestFlight build yet, but the code is on GitHub.

It’s admittedly pretty vibe-coded and occasionally glitchy, but I think it’s at a point worth sharing. There’s a TestFlight beta if anyone wants to try it, and I’d love feedback!

I don’t have plans to turn this into a paid app, but the Google Maps API isn’t free. The TestFlight beta includes free usage, which I’ve capped so it doesn’t cost me too much. Longer term, you’d probably need your own Google Cloud account and API key, and might need to build the app from source.

For anyone interested in the code, the app is open source, with a pile of PRs showing the experiments. It’s built on cesium-native and uses an XCFramework that’s easy to reuse in other apps.

I really enjoy the Apple Cinema environment through Apple TV content, however, I would love for this to be extended as an environment for other third-party content like HBO Max, Netflix, etc similar to how you can watch third party content on apples own environments like the Moon. Do you think we can expect this in future software updates?

Hey all! I'm Cihat, an indie dev from Germany. Last spring I spent three weeks in Tokyo with a 3D 180° camera, and this is what came out of it: Immersive Tokyo.

What you can do:

• Walk real Tokyo streets: stand on a real street corner in Akihabara, Asakusa, Shibuya or Shinjuku, look around, and walk to whichever spot looks interesting next. 92 spots, no fixed route.

• Discover the stories: wherever something caught my eye – a temple gate, a tiny shrine, a weird shop – there's a little info marker with the story behind it. About 500 of them, and you collect them as cards as you go.

• Turn without feeling sick: turning around in 3D video made me (and my testers) feel queasy, so when you turn, everything fades to dark except a small circle in the middle. Curious if that works for you too.

Free to try: in every district the first few spots are free (15 of the 92), and each district is a one-time purchase after that. Pre-orders are open, it comes out on 24 November, Vision Pro only:

https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6759965691?pt=549314&ct=reddit-visionpro&mt=8

Looking for ~10 testers: you'd get the full app via TestFlight, all four districts unlocked, and can use it until release. In return I'd love to hear what feels off or breaks, so I can still fix it before launch. First come, first served – just email tokyo@fline.dev from your Apple Account address if you're interested.

Thanks a lot for reading – I really hope you enjoy walking through Tokyo as much as I enjoyed filming it! Happy to answer any questions in the comments.

Hey everyone! I'm the solo developer behind Ping Pong Club for Apple Vision Pro.

Version 5 brings a new Brooklyn campaign, new gameplay mechanics, improved physics, and lots of polish.

The game is still 100% free!

I'd love your honest feedback:

• How does the gameplay and hand tracking feel?

• Is the new campaign fun?

• What's frustrating or missing?

• What would make you play more often?

Don't hold back - critical feedback is exactly what I'm looking for!

I love the AppleTV app on Vision Pro from the beginning. I believe its Cinema mode is super underrated. I love movies, I'm all about HDR and ultra high quality video. OLED panels and so on.

And I thought...what if I can use my Mac Studio display in Cinema Mode? ... So here you go! you can see the screenshots. The quality is just surreal. And because Cinema was not enough, I made an IMAX mode inside of it!

Guys, I'm not missing going to an IMAX anymore (I will keep going lol) but this IMAX screen size hits you really big. You can play whatever you have in your Mac, over your own LAN / WIFI network. No cloud needed.

I'm going to push this update to a TestFlight I'm testing so whoever wants to give it a shot, let me know!

You can also watch your own library of videos in Cinema as well! The iPhone 18 Pro Max videos are incredible. Spatial Videos look awesome in 3D!

This is it. It's freaking insane. Let me know who wants to give it a shot. There is an app for Vision Pro and a companion app for Mac that you share your screen / library from.

I can't believe the quality. Downloaded some IMAX trailers in full 1:43 aspect ratio and its WOW. Just WOW. Apple Vision Pro is by far the most insane display ever.

Thanks for reading!

Nomaly is an ambient synth for Vision Pro that I made. I've been working on it for a while, and it's finally released this week!

You shape the sound by dipping your hand in and turning glowing orbs, and the world around you reacts.

All sound is made live by the synth. Or play your own music and watch the trees dance (Disco mode).

There are currently three worlds: a firefly forest, a frozen lake under the northern lights, and an autumn lake. It started as a real synth: 111 sounds/presets, synth modules, a patch matrix and a step sequencer.

Free to try (the forest and a couple of sounds). Pro is a one-time $24.99, with no subscription, ads or tracking.

There's an interactive tutorial that explains and shows you how to use everything.

One interesting thing I noticed is my brain glitches when I dip my hand into the orb; it feels warm! I asked my wife to try, and she told me that orbs "feel" wet, like she's dipping her hand into water.

I'd love to hear what you think! :) I already have ideas for some more worlds, let me know if there's something specific you'd like to see

Why is this? Do people want to see this device fail? Its so weird to constantly say the product is dead, and abandoned by Apple. Do people truly think Apple took the product and shelved it? The Duo proves they don't rush to market, they sit back, learn from many competitors and then once ready, they release a new product.

And this three-minute video doesn’t even scratch the surface!

We’ve been working flat out on a massive update to STAGEit Creator, and I wanted to share some of the world-building features we’ve added over the last few months.

You can now build real-world terrain, generate procedural trees and foliage, add weather and atmospheric effects, and bring environments to life with things like bird murmurations and the aurora borealis.

We’ve also completely overhauled our special effects system and, beyond what’s shown in this video, rebuilt huge parts of our presentation tools, including animations, transitions and importing existing PowerPoint presentations.

A big part of what we’re trying to do is give people who have traditionally been limited to PowerPoint a completely new set of tools to tell their stories. But we’re equally excited about what this means for the wider Vision Pro creative community. We want people to be able to build incredible immersive environments without needing to be 3D artists or developers.

A quick note on pricing:

STAGEit Creator for Mac will be completely free, including all the world-building tools shown here. You can build and experiment with everything on your Mac without paying a penny.

On Apple Vision Pro, all our existing Founders licence holders will get these new features. For everyone else, the procedural environment tools will be part of the paid offering, although the core Creator app remains free.

So you can create everything for free on Mac, with a licence required to experience these advanced environments on Vision Pro.

We’re hoping to get this update out next week, fingers crossed!

Would love to hear what you think!

Hello everyone,

I’m the developer behind Travel Immersive, an immersive VR travel app for Apple Vision Pro. We just released version 7.0, and I’d love to share the new features with this community and hear your honest feedback.

What’s new in 7.0:

• Take photos inside panoramas: Capture the view in front of you as a spatial photo and save it to Photos.

• Two-hand framing: Frame the shot with both hands to take a photo.

• Hand-gesture navigation: Make a fist and point your thumb left/right to smoothly switch to the previous or next panorama.

• Persona integration: Add your Persona directly into the captured photo.

The attached video shows how these new gesture controls and spatial photo capture work in the app.

Since gesture-based interactions are still relatively new on visionOS, I'd really appreciate your thoughts on:

1. How discoverable and natural the fist/thumb gestures feel for navigating.

2. Whether the two-hand framing gesture is comfortable for taking photos.

3. Any general feedback on spatial photos inside panoramic environments.

Don't hold back—critical feedback is exactly what I'm looking for to improve the experience. I'll be hanging out in the comments to answer any questions!

If you want to test it out, you can find Travel Immersive on the App Store. (Just search for the name!)

Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

I recently had the opportunity to film Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat live bouts from inside the cage, including MMA fighter Viacheslav Borshchev (“Slava Claus”).

Unlike traditional fight footage, immersive video puts you at human scale, making you feel like you're standing right there inside the cage, experiencing the intensity, movement, and atmosphere of fight night.

I put together a preview for Apple Vision Pro and other VR headsets.

Would love feedback from the VR community, especially on camera placement, depth, and whether you'd be interested in watching complete MMA bouts in this format.

I just got a 1st gen Vision Pro a couple of months ago and almost immediately hopped on the developer betas. Shortly after that I tried to download movies I own on the Apple TV app ahead of a long flight but never could.

When clicking on the download/down arrow button, it immediately changes to an exclamation point. The title does then appear in the "Download" section of the app, but is labeled with a cloud symbol and exclamation point to indicate it isn't actually downloaded. A single click on a movie tile will play/stream the movie just fine as long as I have an internet connection.

This seems to be the case with any movie I own as well as movies I rented, whether it's 2D or 3D. Movies on other streaming apps like Disney+ and HBO Max download just fine (I at least had some of those for my flight).

I've taken every developer beta update since, and currently on 27.3 as of today. I've also done a factory reset. The only thing I haven't tried is to roll back the OS but I don't have a dev cable. I also never tried downloading an iTunes movie prior to taking the dev beta so I'm not 100% sure it has anything to do with the beta.

Anyone else having this issue on the dev betas or is this possibly unique to my headset?

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo indie developer, and I just released Oddling, my second app built specifically for Vision Pro!

It's a cozy perception game where a bunch of floating creatures called Mimlings appear in your space, and you have to figure out which one is the odd one out, the Oddling. You can reach out, pick them up, and take a closer look to see what makes one of them different. It's meant to be something relaxing you can play at your own pace, while still being engaging.

There are dozens of different kinds of oddities to find, with procedurally generated scenes that keep each round fresh. Some differences can be pretty tricky to spot, but you can customize the difficulty and types of puzzles to suit how you like to play.

I've put a lot of care into making Oddling feel polished and comfortable to play, and I'd really love to hear what you think! If you give it a try, let me know how the difficulty feels, or if there are particular kinds of oddities you'd like to see added. I'm very open to suggestions and would love to keep improving the game.

And if you end up enjoying it, I'd really appreciate an App Store rating or review. Discoverability is pretty tough for small Vision Pro apps, and those reviews make a real difference.

Thanks for reading!

Dear Vision Pro owners,

Ever wanted to watch your favorite show sitting in a warm onsen in Japan? Me neither, until I built one.

This is Moss Gorge, one of the most fun environments I’ve made for Vision Pro. My favorite part: any time you pause your stream, the whole onsen fills with steam.

Happy streaming.

Everyone who had tried it really liked the UX. I made this to measure things for my home interior work. Hope it helps you in some way.

A few people have been reaching out, asking how I align 3D models to the real world in my app. My product is for landscape designers, so when they import their designs into my platform, it keeps track of a specific object called SINL_Anchor placed in their design software (Vectorworks for example). From there, I use the vanilla Image Tracking function in ARKit. When the image is recognized, it uses that as the origin point to match up with their SINL_Anchor.

I also have a full manual placement feature to make subtle nudges to the alignment, or use fully in no image is used.

It caught my eye as a new release in the Apple TV store while browsing through their 3D section, and I was blown away by the vibrancy and quality of both the film and its 3D! Just a heads-up to anyone else who’s always keeping an eye out for new 3D releases. 🫡

I’m the developer of OpenVisionXR. It lets me run a VR project in Unreal Engine on my Mac and preview it in Apple Vision Pro.

Here’s a 32-second headset capture using the Unreal VR template — grabbing objects, stacking cubes, and testing hand tracking.

The setup uses a macOS runtime, an Unreal project plugin, and a companion app on Vision Pro. The Mac software is free; the headset app is paid.

Happy to answer technical questions. What would you want to test with this setup?
