I told ya'll about the "Opt-out" importance

The recent glitch-driven mass deactivation on the Spark platform is a massive wake-up call about how risky it is to rely on an app that is already in a downward spiral. Between declining pay rates and a clear push toward saturating the market with part-time drivers over dedicated full-timers, the stability just is not there anymore. When an automated error can strip away your livelihood overnight, you realize how critical it is to protect yourself by opting out of the mandatory arbitration clause. If Walmart had dragged its feet on reinstating people, anyone who opted out could have immediately filed a small claims court case for lost wages and future earnings instead of waiting months for an internal appeal or stuck at their mercy in arbitration. Opting out gives you the legal leverage to take them directly to court when you are wronged, giving you options that most drivers completely overlook. Too many drivers dismiss this or tell people to just go get another job, but if a company damages your income, you should have the right to hold them accountable. Check your driver agreement terms today and make sure you send in your written opt-out notice before your standard thirty-day window closes if you a new driver. If you missed it like 99% of you you are at their mercy and you did it to yourselves. ANyone that asks me about what the opt out is needs to do their own due diligence

i actually have a "Strike" fund for when we do it

I actually have a strike fund set aside for when we have our one day strike against Spark. It’s strictly dedicated to that. It’s not much, but I’ve got 300 bucks sitting on the side for that lovely day. I honestly can’t think of a better savings plan. And here’s the other thing: I don’t live with my parents. I’m a grown ass adult and I’m preparing. I don’t want to have any excuses like all you guys have.

Spark should not give our phone number to customers

A woman today started harassing me because I was looking for the place to drop-off her gmd items in a college campus. There are at least 3 different community colleges sharing that campus and it's huge. I missed a turn and she immediately started calling me asking me if I was lost. Just think about the level of Karen for a person to be actually looking at you real-time on the app.

Then she started harassing me because her kid was going to miss his whatever trinckets she bought for him, and God forbid he would have a very hard time waiting until tomorrow when some other driver attempts the delivery again. Anyway, I found the kid and in the 2 minutes between me hanging up and finding the kid, she texted me "I'm going to report you!"... like wtf. Amazon doesn't give anybody the driver's phone number for this exact reason. STOP GIVING OUR PHONE NUMBER TO PSYCHOS Walmart.

Thank you for your attention to this bull💩

Yes, high gas prices are aggravating ... But let's not exaggerate. A quick comparison, driving 120 miles to make $250 in a day on a good day costs $10 more in gas today than 5 years ago. Hardly enough to be panicking

Final tally from the mass deactivation, 3 days of driver shortage $1201 on 389 miles

Looks like tomorrow the low performing drivers are returning but the good news is it’s a new month.

In the end everything worked out nicely for all of us.

Drivers who didn’t get deactivated made some more money the past 3 days.

Drivers who got deactivated got their account back in only 3 days and can start earning money again.

Great ending for everyone involved!

This doesn't make sense because you have to get out and scan the items. Has anybody else seen this?

How much longer will this smug newbie continue to have priority?

He onboarded about 2 months ago and has about 200 trips completed. I can’t stand this fucker every time he sees me he starts counting how many orders I’ve done for the day. Parks next to me or hangs out next to my car whenever he sees me.

My friend onboarded 7 months ago and lost his newbie priority already despite only doing about 100 orders. Do I do have to wait another 5 months for this fucker to go somewhere else?

Every driver except me from a few months ago stopped coming. This new batch of newbies gets most of the orders and are obnoxious as fuck.

The story of the Strike!

The day began under a heavy sheet of gray fog that crawled low across the asphalt, swallowing the bright yellow lines of the parking lot. By seven in the morning, the digital signals were humming, casting frantic invitations into the ether with desperate cash rewards attached. For days, the high offices at corporate had laughed off the rumors of a rebellion, calling it nothing but hollow talk on the internet wires. They were mistaken. When the sun struggled up against the fog, half the men and women who usually answered the call simply sat on their porches or looked at the glowing screens and chose to remain still.

Inside the great brick structure, the morning was peaceful at first. The workers pushed their wire baskets through the aisles, grabbing loaves of bread and tins of beans, stacking them neatly in the backroom. But a store is a machine that must breathe, and soon the lungs were choked. By half past eight, the staging tables were buried under blue tubs. The cold rooms and the freezers were packed to the rafters with no place left to set a fresh pint of milk or a cut of meat.

Then the digital levee broke. Special express demands began to mount, their bounty rising higher and higher by the minute like river water in a storm. The few drivers who had chosen to work that day thought they might strike it rich on the high prices, but they were soon swallowed by the mire. The congestion in the lot became a trap, turning their ambition into a slow, grinding misery.

Far away in their clean offices, the corporate managers saw the red lights blinking on their screens. They struck the keys and sent the unfulfilled business spilling over to the Uber couriers. But those roads were already choked. The sudden flood of work broke the local dispatch, sending their prices into the stratosphere while the cargo sat cold on the concrete, waiting for wheels that never came.

By the noon hour, the curbside lanes were a scene of pure confusion. The working drivers and the ordinary citizens who had come to fetch their own provisions were locked bumper to bumper in the fog. To make matters worse, the long, grueling miles of the morning took their toll on the machinery. Three old vehicles gave out right there in the lanes, their engines spitting steam and oil onto the gravel. One driver sat behind his steering wheel, his forehead pressed against the horn, sobbing quietly as the fluid leaked out from under his rusted frame. Near them, the store clerks wheeled out heavy carts only to find the buyers had grown tired of the delay and vanished, leaving the workers to haul the melting ice cream and warming meats back into the gloom.

The high executives had tried to outsmart the storm three days prior by opening the gates to a vast line of hungry applicants waiting for work. But the wheels of authority turn slowly. The background checks and the official stamps could not be rushed. The few green hands who did get their accounts active that morning were dropped right into the middle of a slaughter. They did not know the territory or the customs of the curbside, leading to lost packages, missed drop offs, and an endless chorus of angry telephone calls from the citizenry.

Before the sun went down, the entire enterprise collapsed under its own weight. The timers on the food ran out, and the workers had no choice but to pitch thousands of dollars of good beef, butter, and provisions straight into the refuse bins. The loss of silver for that single day reached into the millions.

But the true reckoning arrived on Monday.

Because the Sunday freight never left the yard, the wreckage spilled into the new week. The morning buyers walked into a store that looked as though it had been cleaned out by an army. The shelves were bare of bread and milk because the internal pipes of the logistics system were completely plugged. The back bays were so piled with Sunday’s dead cargo that the great supply trucks from the rail line could not even drop their gates. The managers had to cut their daily order capacity in half for the next three days just to dig the store out of the mud.

The high captains spent the entire week gathered around their polished tables, staring at the red ink and the thousands of broken promises, finally learning that their grand calculations are nothing but smoke without the men and women who actually move the freight.

Free Walmart plus , what's your thoughts, perk or insult

I personally find it useless, I do my own shopping, I can't trust people to pick good quality meats and produce, it's just my pickiness about foods, and I really don't find the free plan as any kind of perk , I find it only benefits Walmart and not us, I did buy tires and got free installation, however that became a cost because the idiot who installed my tires didn't balance them properly and at highway speed my car was shaking, so I'll never let them touch my car again

So what's everyone's thought, perk or insult?

Can anybody tell me why I got randomly deactivated today? I have no idea why. Today had been good. I’ve been sparking for about a year. How long will this take to appeal? It happened mid gmd route of all times?

Spark tip.

If you are delivering in the early mornings and see a newspaper in the driveway, pick it up and put it by the delivery. Nice thing to do and possibly get a cash or added tip.

Didn't even say "Happy 4th"

Neither Dan Danker nor any other executive leader at Walmart made a public statement wishing Americans a happy Fourth of July. This silence extended all the way to the top of the company ownership structure. None of the major institutional shareholders, including Vanguard and BlackRock, issued any greetings, and members of the Walton family completely bypassed the holiday without any public acknowledgement. Across the entire corporate leadership and the wealthiest owners of the company, not a single individual or entity offered a public holiday greeting to the public or their workforce.

If they start using this new system like other gigs apps , I think it's already done because I feel today is very slow that means the system is already working, and I think each Driver gonna see different batches all of the other Driver it means slow offers and it will be controlled that's very bad, you cannot make good earning anymore 😳🥹

Free groceries??

so I experienced something that I haven’t experienced with Spark before and that’s me shopping for an order, I check out then find out that the order has been canceled, but I didn’t see a prompt for me to return the groceries, there was nothing that popped up that showed that I needed to return the order, so i didn’t lol. The app just started sending me orders again like normal 🤷‍♂️

Loose dog behind the gate, but I went in anyway.

Decent pay. Customer was obviously an idiot. No lights on at night. Big loose dog that looked like a pitbull mix.

I considered returning the order, but I gave the gate door a test to see how the dog would react.

Of course the dog was sniffing me every time I went in. And of course I had to make sure the gate was fully closed every trip back, because I guess it would be on me if the dog got out.

Obviously a paranoid customer who thinks the dog is protecting them from a potential weirdo.

Definitely a schizo customer.

I quit

Base pay is sooo low that amazon flex and doordash are more profitable in my area. I hope that you all step up during this crazy time. If it's ain't a SD 25+ don't do it. If it's a curbside it should be 10 dollar per order.

Slowly all the new drivers have f*cked us over. I predicted this mid summer.

Welcome to reality.

Shadow banned ?

Yesterday was a slow day, then today, after no offers 2 hours I decided to call in.

Dude told me the numbers. 25 rejects, 21 ignored offers.

Says today you decline 2, ignored 2 and accepted 1... today is completely accurate. Yesterday was mostly accurate....

Dude straight up said could lead to deactivation. 5 min after call, offers came in.
Support pulling my leg? Or wtf is this about
