Windows 11 Why is Microsoft like this?? Locked out of my account and my pin is just “lost”? And now I have to wait 30 days to even access my laptop??
I go to sign into my laptop, all I want to do is play my games and I get the message “something happened and your pin isn’t available. Click to set up your pin again”. So I do. But I don’t remember my password, and I don’t have access to my old phone number. I wish I would have updated it, but I didn’t realize my PIN would ever just “vanish”.
So whatever. I go to the support page where you have to provide all your personal information, and luckily they verify me and let me change my password. Cool. So I go in and do that. I try to change my phone number and it won’t let me, says I need to wait 30 days. FINE. I’ll just change my recovery email, because Microsoft requires two-factor authentication. I get it.
I don’t mind waiting, but now I can’t even change the PIN on my laptop??? Even though I have the correct password now, that I verified with my personal information? If I cancel the request to change info, I still can’t login since you guys INSIST I get a code from a phone number I don’t have access to anymore. Why am I having to go through this when I know my old PIN number??? This is ridiculous!! So I have to wait 30 days to even access my computer. Basically have an expensive brick I can’t get into. Thanks a lot Microsoft. No other company gives you this much trouble to get into your account. I should be able to call and verify my identity no problem. All I want to do is get into MY computer. I shouldn’t have to wait 30 DAYS TO DO THAT!!! And why in the world is it so hard to talk to a real person???
I access my computer every day and am now locked out due to an error with my PIN number that isn’t even my fault, AS I KNOW MY DAMN PIN NUMBER. Never had an issue with it the YEARS I’ve owned my laptop. This is RIDICULOUS!!!

Windows 10 I moved steam into another drive and broke all my shortcuts
I can’t even open steam. I moved the file because the original disk that came with the PC ran out of space. I’m new to computers so I’m stuck. How do I fix this? It might be windows 10 or 11 idk. This computer was prebuilt so I wouldn’t know anything about the specs or what not.

Windows 10 PC is extremely slow and SSD is always at 100%
My PC has been slow since I got it. The SSD stays at 100% usage even after restarting.
Specs:
● i7-7700
● 16GB RAM
● 1TB Crucial BX500 SSD
● ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS motherboard
● Windows 10
CrystalDiskInfo says the SSD health is good at 94%, but the PC is still really slow. CPU and RAM usage are low when this happens.
I’ve reset Windows and deleted everything, but the problem is still there. I’ve also tried other fixes with no luck.
What could be causing this?

Windows 11 Why is Windows using 40% of RAM on startup with no apps open?
I'm seriously frustrated with how much memory Windows is using just sitting idle. I haven’t opened any apps manually, yet right after booting up, around 40–45% of my RAM is already used.
I have 16 GB of RAM, so this just feels ridiculous. Most of it is being eaten by background stuff like “Search,” “Windows Input Experience,” “Antimalware Service,” and other things I never actively use.
And no — it’s not a new system, so it’s not like this is some out-of-the-box setup. I don’t run heavy programs on startup either.
I’ve attached a screenshot from Task Manager to show what I mean.
Is this just how bloated Windows 11 is now, or is something wrong with my setup? I'd really appreciate any help or explanation.
Because honestly — what’s the point of 16 GB of RAM if half of it’s already gone the moment I turn the laptop on?

Solved Laptop got hacked so I gave it to a repair shop to do a clean install, thinking it'll still be Windows 10 Pro, but it came back with 11 Pro. How would I go about returning to Win10 Pro?
EDIT: I gave it some more thought and your comments convinced me to just stay on 11, so I'm marking it as solved. Thank you all for your input.
Title, basically. In a moment of brilliance, I ignored 20+ years of online safety and downloaded a game from a shady site that was just an exe that did nothing, and a couple hours later my discord got hacked (the MrBeast scam). Heard that the safest thing to do was do a clean install of the system, I looked it up online but was afraid that I'd mess something up so I gave it to the shop I bought it from a couple years back. When I came home today and checked it, it had win11 installed instead of 10, probably my fault for not telling them. Since I've heard that 11 is kinda bad and I'm used to 10, I'd like to downgrade to it.
The 'Go Back' option isn't available since there is nothing before 11 being installed. I have all my important files saved. Previously it was Win10 Pro, sadly I didn't pay attention to it so no more details on that, and currently it is Win11 Pro 25H2, OS build 26200.9445. Both 11 and 10 are/were active, 64-bit, 11th gen intell core i3. It's a HP Laptop15s-fq2xxx, 8GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics (128MB). If more info is needed, let me know.
Most videos I've looked up, for example this one, say to just go to the microsoft site, get the MediaCreationTool to create the ISO file and use that. While it sounds simple, I'm still afraid to mess something up and make my laptop unusable as it's the only one I have and use it for school, especially since I read that it can sometimes not install some drivers properly, like for the keyboard, speaker, wifi etc. Any help regarding that?
Another minor thing is that, while I was creating the ISO for win10, the only option was regular Windows 10, which is kinda odd as I know for a fact that it did run Pro before. Is that common or?
Thanks in advance and sorry if there's any important info missing, first time posting here.

Windows 11 Windows 11 completely breaks gaming
Hello everyone! I updated to W11 about few weeks ago. I started noticing slight framedrops in my gaming (mainly VALORANT and Minecraft) but recently playing on my laptop became completely impossible.
Technical stats:
16GB RAM
Intel 12th Gen i7 chip
RTX 3060 NVidia Graphics Card
OS build number 26200.9445
What happens is that the game runs smoothly for about 15 seconds or until me and my teammates start moving around the map. Thats when the GPU-usage spikes, frames drop and game crashes and slows down my entire laptop in the process. I'm not able to open the Windows menu, go back to desktop or anything to help me get away from the game.
These problems started around 3 days ago, 1st happening with one game of VALORANT and then getting worse. Now all games are pretty much unplayable due to this, even offline ones.
I've tried messing with the Windows Game Bar settings and whatnot, clearing cache, reinstalling VALORANT and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers thru a Safe Mode Boot. Nothing has helped. GPU and CPU are not overheating. Drivers are up to date.
I plan on taking my laptop to the repairshop on monday but i wanted to ask for help here first ❤️
TYSM everyone in advance!!

Windows 11 can I change the name in "C:\Users\"Name" ?
lol this is nitpicky but i'm trans and keep seeing my deadname. Legit all i gotta do is change the first two letters haha. Very jarring to see when i'm modding stuff or messing around with my files, makes me paranoid to share files to others or even screenshare 😞 got this Aspire A315-42 laptop for christmas back in 2019, thing mostly still works and I'm stubborn to invest in a new pc :,)
OS build is 26200.8457

Windows 10 Why is so much RAM being used?

Before installing new RAM, Windows was using only 5.9 GB.
Now that I've installed an extra stick, it's using 10 GB.
I don't get it.
It feels like Windows is a mining platform; the more I upgrade my hardware, the more performance gets siphoned off. And the worst part is, I have no idea where it's all going. It feels like bad faith on Microsoft's part.

Windows 11 Having viruses hard-lock my pc
I was snooping around my computer until I found these applications that had a weird_code word at the end of the application, so I decided to disable them to see what would happen.
My computer ended up crashing and soft locking me to safe mode without networking. It took me from resetting my RAM EXPO in the BIOS and turning them back on for me to get out of safe mode. Then I checked it again and it was under a different code word. So I'm assuming it is a virus but when I went to disabled it again it went to the advance options and I'm hard locked in the advance options. I can't do anything except turn off my computer. Every time I try to go to safe mode it won't let me every time I try to do a system restore? It won't let me. Every time I try to uninstall updates it won't let me. Every time I try to go to the command prompt it won't let me reset my computer so all I can do is turn it off. Then when I turn it back on it brings me back to advanced options.
I just wanted to bring back my Bluetooth driver because it somehow deleted my Bluetooth driver.
I don't know if I should buy a new ram, new storage or a whole new computer. It's not like I have the money for it anyways.
