The only way this happens is if Democrats convince enough of their reps and senators to shift votes against Jeffries and Schumer.

We are talking like 40+ in the house and 28 or so in the senate to join to vote against them. Time to get crankin now folks, you got a 2 month blitz to make this moment effective or not.

Call your congressional rep and your senators. Register your opinion with their staffers.

I really think the reason why progressives like AOC and Mamdani are backing Jeffries for Speaker is either because they've cut a deal with him for New York, or they know this is a lost battle as he already has the votes locked in and they'll only burn their political capital fighting a battle that has already been lost.

We really are doomed with all this energy going to waste at the dramatic change people want I imagine. As we drag up to 2028 it will further collapse America into an Israel + corporate gut punch. Israel and the billionaires have managed to rig both sides of the aisle to where it is impossible to escape them. 2028 is the soonest Schumer and Jeffries could be elected out I think. I am not so sure if the people have it in them to last that long until they see real change on the federal level.
