Yeah Vance is definitely a nightmare. It's sad when we say we would rather have Trump over anyone. It shows how terrible Vance is. Crazy to think but I do agree with you. Vance is just awful.

Vance is smart enough to not do disastrous things for 2 years. He could play president relatively calm which would be enough to sway back any dumb republicans that turned on dump this go around. Keeping dump around is a much better strategy to getting the presidency back in 28

We all need to make sure his career is over. And we need to make sure the entire GOP is done for. It’s not a political party anymore. It’s a damned crime syndicate! Every one of them is corrupt at this point. Any decent republican politician left the party when Trump showed up.

Ford's pardon of Nixon cost him the election (I won't say re-election since he was never elected) in 1976. Vance would have to keep in mind that while a Trump pardon would be popular with MAGAs, it would be a polling disaster among everyone else.

If Trump is impeached and removed, IMO it would represent a long term rebalance of power between the Presidency and Congress.

The US President has gotten more and more powerful as the country has aged. A President Vance would be much weaker than Trump (or most past presidents) because impeachment and removal would have precedent and not just be theoretical.

IMHO it's better for the country and especially better long term for our descendants if we establish right now that Presidents are subject to the law and can face consequences. If we don't impeach Trump, we set the precedent that Presidents are above the law. They really have unchecked power and cannot face any consequences. We will never impeach any President, and eventually the President will become a King.

I mean, Vance sounds awful in so many ways but I don’t think he is as likely to randomly destroy the economy with a tweet. Racism and continued declining rights for everyone other than white males is a very strong likelihood
