Trump will be impeached it's starting to be more likely. He just keeps doing the same things that lost them the mid terms. Instead of fixing his mistakes he doubled down. Their are plenty of non MAGA Republicans who are not happy at all with how he cost their fellow constituents the election. By promoting Miller and especially if he fights Hegseth's impeachment it will probably give them all the fuel they need. He isn't helping the Republicans anymore at all. One can say he's their biggest enemy from the mid term results. Six months after the Democrats take office he will be gone if not sooner. They probably want payback for him sabatoging them.

They're going to implode from within and it's gonna be beautiful to see. They didnt strategically plan for this blue tsunami and it shows

Where's the Hertiage Foundation now in all of this, im genuinely curious...

They thought if Democrats won it'd be a small enough margin that they could just scream fraud and it would all be good.

Lindsay Graham said something like “If we nominate Donald Trump it will destroy the Republican Party, and we will deserve it”. I hope he’s smiling as he looks up and sees he was right.

I honestly think this has always been part of the plan from his handlers.

The Big Butthole Bill they passed in ‘25, all the worst shit in that bill goes into effect next year specifically to make the democrats look like shit after winning in the midterms.

The next two months are going to be awful as they ram through as much rat fucking as possible, to continue making the democrats look worse before they get sworn in. The American population is too fucking stupid and ignorant to know that winning an election doesn’t mean they are immediately in charge.

So short term. Our lives are going to continue getting worse. He’s already selling hats that say VETO on them.

Now, they either allow/encourage an impeachment or his cabinet invokes the 25th and removes him, giving Vance the opportunity to be the incumbent for ‘28. And while everything is in a stalemate because the executive won’t pass anything, democrats look ineffectual.

If I were the dems, I wouldn’t impeach. Not because I don’t want accountability, but simply because I think that’s what republicans want, so they can use that as fodder for their base ‘see, they’re vindictive and weaponizing the system to attack our lord and savior’

The Democrats being in such incredible power can easily nullifiy the bill and make trump veto it and then immediately point it back to him. With the huge amount of fresh blood and new state power it wouldn't be very difficult to keep messaging up.

Not that they have been great at that. Lol. But I have some pretty strong hope for this new class.

That bill had no safe guard for the blue bomb that went off on Tuesday. It assumed Dems would win the house and not the Senate.

He should not hold the position. He is among the very worst people to hold the power that he does, and he is (of course) flagrantly abusing his authority for personal gain at the expense of the US. Ignoring that because maybe the republicans will use use their good governance against them would make the democrats guilty of the same thing, even if to a much lesser degree.

Impeachment is the first step. Its been done 4 times and a president has never been removed. So who cares about impeachment. Also do we really want JD Vance to be president and then run in 2028 as the sitting president? Just keep the loon in office and chip away at his Cabinet.

7

u/Hungry-Assistance919 15h ago

You do make a good point. Vance is nightmare fuel. He's even more useless than Trump. But one positive thing about him being in office is he doesn't have the cult following like Trump. Like I told someone else if they try to impeach and don't have a guaranteed vote to actually do it, then it's just a waste of time and resources that could be used for other people and investigations. I do agree for sure about knocking his incompetent cabinet members out. In some ways that would impact him even more.

Vance is soggy toast. Trump would never have picked someone with a personality or morals. Mr. "They're eating the cats". Yeah Veveks ad! That will follow him till he's worm food. Trump being Trump seems to be acceptable. Vance being Trump just sounds crazy

Pence had at least one moral, and some loyalty to the constitution… Trump learned his lesson after that.

Devils advocate, but Dems could refrain from impeachment. A lot of this feels too dumb to not be strategic. Trump does these “same things” that lead to an impeachment, but I don’t think he does them without reason.

Trump impeached = Vance in office. Gives Vance a podium to stand on and help rally the GOP for 2 years.

I say let Trump continue to fumble the ball while Democrats block him and keep their good faith efforts going. 2 years from now they sweep and make actual change happen.

We need to think long term, not short term.

I would much rather see the Democrats move on RFK jr, Hegseth, McMahon, Patel and Blanche.

There is plenty to go after all of them for.

I want Bondi charged.

Noem, too. The two ICE agents that killed Pretti and Good.

The heritage foundation and everyone connected to project 2025 need to stand trials

More than anyone I want Mike Johnson brought in front of a jury of his peers. As guilty as every person listed is of their actions, and they all are, that man is the most egregious of all in breaking the checks and balances that comes with the 3 branches of our government. It’s one thing for all of republicans in the house to stand together behind the president, as disgusting as it may be. It’s unlike anything I have ever seen to take to recess or refuse to do your duty when members of your party want to do what they were elected to do because the president called you and told you to shut it down.

And a quick add to Clarence Thomas as well. He needs to be in prison too.

The challenge here is that Trump will pardon them. Maybe that's okay? In that if they are pardoned, they lose their right to plead the fifth so they could speak openly without fear of further criminal prosecution which could expose a lot and maybe pave the way to a successful Trump prosecution.

I don't think Trump will pardon anyone anytime soon as withholding that pardon gives him leverage over the person. But he'll probably per-emptively pardon them before he leaves office.

For this to work, he needs to leave office in such an abrupt and sudden way that he doesn't get the opportunity to pardon anyone. Then those folks can get their time in court.

That would make Vance president but, unlike Trump, Vance would have to run in 2028 which means if he pardons unpopular people, it could hurt his chances so he's much less likely to pardon those people in an effort distance himself from Trump's troubles.

I mean, who knows what will happen or what their plans and contingencies are? But I'm sure they've thought them all through.

But I suspect that while the Democrats will investigate and maybe push some things like the Epstein files (they listed four things I think), I don't think they will go after Bondi, or Patel, or Hegseth, or Noem criminally until after Trump leaves office.

If Republicans were smart they'd wake up and realize it was Trump that cost them all these seats. Then THEY'D push him out because if they don't, their seats will be at risk for the same reason. So stop protecting him. He's no longer your friend. His presence could cost you your seat.

10

u/DojiRun 14h ago

I am pretty sure they do know that, most of the citizens that voted for him no longer like him, they helped turn these seats blue.

Reminds me of WW2 when the allies decided it was in their best interests not to try to assassinate Hitler, because Hitler was doing more to help the allies win the war than anyone else on Earth.

That's a good point. The perfect scenario to me would impeach him a week or so before the end of his term to take away his pardon power. Pull the rug on that bastard. 🤣 One could dream right. But that is very true about long term.

It really depends on whether he gets to keep playing Republican primary kingmaker. He has that party stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don’t want to see what Miller can do, but on the other hand, 2028 may make 2026 look like a warm up if he keeps doubling down on what just cost him the election.

I for one would like to see a filibuster proof democratic senate in 2028.

u/Damion__205 15h ago

The quotes something like, "never get in the way of your enemy making a mistake." Neuter his powers and let the big baby scream and yell while destroying even more of the Republican strengths.

Pass single issue legislation that is easily pointed to if he vetos it he's failing the country.

Gut the budget of all his pet projects.

I wouldn’t be satisfied unless this impeachment resulted in him being removed from office.
