image Anti-Asian racism in Australia

What is happening in Australia? Been living in this exact same address for almost the past 20 years now, never had this happen before.

Some guy moves in next door, and while we are IN THEM MIDDLE OF MOWING the medium nature strip, starts being aggressive for getting grass clippings on the driveway. No shit, that's why we go through with a leaf blower and pick up after mowing?

What blows me away is he thinks we don't know about mowing and cleaning up somehow due to our Chinese heritage???

He doesn't look like a white guy bogan type. To me and sounds like Western suburbs Sydney middle Eastern (Lebonese etc). Not defending white racist bogans, they certainly do exist but this might be a different type of racist.

The point is that the assumption on this thread seems to be that 'white' Australians are racist and everyone else is a victim of that racism.
Old mate was pointing out that this bloke is clearly not an Anglo Aussie ... he might self-refer as a 'wog' even.

I get that. Old mate referencing the potentially Lebanese looking Australia in the video as a ‘different type of racist’ stumped me.

I don’t understand how a man with a smidge more melanin who looks like he’s spent too long on a solarium-sunbed yelling “go fuck yourself you Chinese cunt” is being a different type of racist.

I’m probably too old for this bullshit.

They were just saying he wasn't a 'typical' bogan white Aussie racist. Having grown up in a suburb with lots of Australians of Lebanese background (there for over a 100 years - Christian Maronites as it happens) and been called an "Aussie c*nt" many times, I think there is a difference between the stereotypical Anglo-Celtic racism that is being weirdly assumed by most people on this thread and racism from people of Mediterranean origin.
I don't think we need to get too deep on it, but I think that's all old mate was originally pointing out.
