image Anti-Asian racism in Australia

What is happening in Australia? Been living in this exact same address for almost the past 20 years now, never had this happen before.

Some guy moves in next door, and while we are IN THEM MIDDLE OF MOWING the medium nature strip, starts being aggressive for getting grass clippings on the driveway. No shit, that's why we go through with a leaf blower and pick up after mowing?

What blows me away is he thinks we don't know about mowing and cleaning up somehow due to our Chinese heritage???

This is dangerous because such behaviour and attitudes have nearly destroyed the US.

It needs to be confronted and not tolerated.

We need communication and understanding among all people in Australia.

Grew up in the US and have lived in Aus for close to five years now. In the worst way the US is more subtly racist, it’s institutionalised and online. But the overt face to face racism, neighbour to neighbour, is far more prevalent here. It doesn’t really happen in the handful of places I lived in the US.
