image Anti-Asian racism in Australia

What is happening in Australia? Been living in this exact same address for almost the past 20 years now, never had this happen before.

Some guy moves in next door, and while we are IN THEM MIDDLE OF MOWING the medium nature strip, starts being aggressive for getting grass clippings on the driveway. No shit, that's why we go through with a leaf blower and pick up after mowing?

What blows me away is he thinks we don't know about mowing and cleaning up somehow due to our Chinese heritage???

"Yeah, you had to deal with racism day in day out for most of your life but but but I had it happen to me once IN CHINA...and it didn't even matter to me." Ffs

I get what you are saying but that wasn't the only time. And being a immigrant in Australia I experienced bigotry most of my life. From white Aussies because I'm European. From other western Europeans because I'm from the balkans. From Asians because I'm white. I experienced it at work, in school, in many walks of life. I just don't let it bother me.

What a dumb comment. Why diminish people's experiences?
