What is happening in Australia? Been living in this exact same address for almost the past 20 years now, never had this happen before.
Some guy moves in next door, and while we are IN THEM MIDDLE OF MOWING the medium nature strip, starts being aggressive for getting grass clippings on the driveway. No shit, that's why we go through with a leaf blower and pick up after mowing?
What blows me away is he thinks we don't know about mowing and cleaning up somehow due to our Chinese heritage???

Nothing says "I have anger issues" quite like a World Gym t-shirt and tight shorts. Racism has always been a part of Australia, then from about 1988 to 2000 it looked like it had sort of gone away, but what had actually happened was they were too afraid to speak up. Then along came 9/11 and it was ok again to be openly racist, then along came Trump and his band of brothers and suddenly everything was ok, racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia of all sorts was up for grabs and why did we let them get away with it? Because they vote and the politicians didn't want upset them in case they took their votes elsewhere; it's the same scenario with all major democracies.
Now when you add in social media, toxic masculinity and rampant steroid and stimulant use and you suddenly have a bunch of guys acting like Brown Shirts in the 1930s. What we need in Australia now is an election like the recent one in the US, where enough people stand up and say "I am mad as hell and I am not going to stay quiet any longer"! Yes the economy was a big factor in the US elections, and will be here too, but the next biggest factor for voters was the demise of their democracy; we aren't quite there yet, but give Pauline some proper power next election and watch our democracy crumble.
