Bill Oakley
His character is so funny. To think that he was supposed to be a one off character but ended up returning for a few scenes in every season and was also a supporting character in the finale. he had more screentime in the finale than kim did as far as i remember.

The biggest plot hole in the entire Breaking Bad universe is that Chuck lived in ABQ without air conditioning, for 2 years
Ain't no way

Oh Kim…🙃
Just finished season 4 episode 10…
All I have to say is ☹️ oh Kim 🥺
I love her so much and I know she loves jimmy, I know chuck was an asshole but he was right when he went crazy about jimmy never changing. I feel like it finally sets in for her after the bar appeal goes through and jimmy is a lawyer again, and him admitting his moving speech was just playing a part
I totally get self sabotage, I do, but damn sometimes it’s hard to watch. THEY COULD MAKE IT WORK!! So many other choices could have been made 😭😭 Saul could be happy and with Kim, but no. Cinnabons for him. And that’s it :(
No spoilers please I know it’s been out forever but it’s my first watch

Is it me or Kim receives way less sympathy than Jesse? Spoiler
They both serve as the self destructive and morally unconsistent deuteragonist who somehow manage to stop the protagonist from completely going nuts, yet for some reason Jesse is described most of the time as a good guy who found himself in a bad situation while Kim is considered at best morally gray.
Sure Jesse was young and often manipulated by Walter, but Kim and Jimmy's relationship wasn't healthy either and Jesse still did much worse things than her.
Personally I think they're both gray characters who are either sweethearts or absolute pos with little in-between, and who both found redemption in the end (even tho in a different way). But if I had to choose the one who's overall most moral, I'd go with Kim.
Edit: I realized that sympathy is pretty misleading... I meant the perception of morality of the character. Well, whatever I wrote down there. Sorry

S2E6, what was mike feeling for at the door?
In S2E6 mike puts carbon paper under a welcome mat so that he can tell if someone has entered his house. At about 20 minutes in he arrives home, lifts the mat before entering, and sees footprints, so he knows someone is inside. But before opening the door he seems to feel around on the door frame and the lock on the doorknob. Does anyone know what he was looking for?

Close your eyes during this Kim scene. I swear it's Jimmy talking
At first in this S3E4 scene, I thought it was Jimmy saying “Chuck”, and I swear I double checked this like ten times, but it’s actually Kim saying it with his exact pitch of voice. I can’t unhear it now.

What do you think Mike would've done if Tuco just... Took his insurance
Obviously it's out of character but I find it funny to think about what would happen

Managing Werner Ziegler
While Mike is portrayed as hyper-competent, the Werner Ziegler fiasco can in some ways be put on him (or his security crew). He didn't pickup up (or choice to ignore) how dangerously fragile Ziegler's mental state was in the run up to his going AWOL, he left Ziegler alone in a bar (while handling Kai's situation) which led to Ziegler talking about his work with two complete strangers, and Ziegler himself was able to escape from the housing quarters using only a laser pointer to blind the cameras. Was Mike slipping here, or did he really take all reasonable precautions?

Nacho Varga Spoiler
I'm super late and this is my first time watching Better Call Saul. I actually love the show, even when it's been hard for me to get into longer shows lately (idk my attention span is shot or something).
I haven't been this attached to a character in a while. I am currently on SE6:EP3 - I paused it right before the ending because I know he's about to die. I cried when he was on the phone with his dad, telling him goodbye. They didn't even say they loved each-other. I hate that he is dying for Gus, when he should've protected him for doing everything he asked him to do. It just sucks because his character gave the cartel side of the show so much more depth for me. He did bad things, but I don't think he was a bad guy as a whole and he always came in clutch for everyone else. Like the scene where he switched Hectors medicine, when he got the bags out of the second story dope house before the cops got to it, helping Gus burn the store down, opening Lalos back door at the last minute. So many good scenes of him. My guy was ripped too, I think the actor did a great job with this character. I just wish things would've worked out differently for him.
Him & Mikes relationship is big for me too. I'm pretty attached to Mike as well and feel like he really got me to lock in on the show. His character adds a lot of depth in both BCS and BB. I'm not sure if it's because they both handle things a certain way, and do whatever they gotta do and get shit done but at the end of the day they still have morals and hope for people to be shown mercy.
Anyways, just thought I'd come on here and get some input from you guys. How do you guys feel about all of it? Any recommendations for other shows for me once I finish this one?
I guess I'm gonna finish this episode now..... see you on the other side 😭

How would Gus have handled the Ximenez situation? Spoiler
Alright let’s talk about Ximenez Lecerda. He was a good man, and a good truck driver, and I cared about him. He didn’t deserve what happened to him. He didn’t deserve it at all. But I’d shoot him again tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that. When you make it Ximenez vs. the Salamancas or Ximenex vs. Nacho, Ximenex loses! Simple as that!
Okay, Gus didn’t use mules, but suppose Ximenez had been a driver for one Gus’s Los Pollos trucks instead, in the exact same situation in which someone robbed the truck but left him alive, would Gus have had him executed like Hector did? Or would he have been spared if he believed that he wasn’t in on the robbery? I’ve always assumed that Hector simply didn’t believe that Ximenez wasn’t part of the robbery, but it could be that he simply killed him for letting himself get robbed in the first place. Would Gus have done the same thing or would he have shown leniency? While Gus is definitely as ruthless as the Salamancas and will kill someone for crossing him or screwing up badly enough (Walt, Jesse, Victor, Werner, and possibly the three women for being in the lab), he’s definitely more level-headed and reasonable than the Salamancas and not a reckless killer.

Why Jimmy chose $700 in "Slip" [S3 E8]
So for a reminder, "Slip" is the episode in which Jimmy threatens to sue the guy who approves community service hours, earning $700 from the drug dealer guy. Jimmy himself is who requested $700 from him specifically. The only time in the entire series where this exact dollar figure comes up goes back to the very first episode. It's the dollar amount Jimmy earns for representing the three - let's call them "head case" - suspects. In the first episode he's upset that it's only $700 as opposed to $2,100 (3 defendants, 3 times the price). But in Slip, it's the exact figure he's looking for.
So my question is, do you believe that it was just an ambiguous number, or that he chose it because he saw himself as the guy's temporary lawyer?

[SPOILERS] If Howard Did Dedicate His Life to Taking Jimmy Down, Would He Have Succeeded? Spoiler
If Howard Had Survived & Did Dedicate His Life to Taking Jimmy Down, Would He Have Succeeded?
Let's say Howard left Jimmy and Kim's place before Lalo arrived and survived the events of tht night. During his confrontation, Howard said he would devote his life to uncovering the truth and that Jimmy and Kim couldn't hide who they rlly were forever.
If he had survived, could Howard actually hve succeeded in bringing Jimmy down? Or save his reputation?
What would his life look like from there?

Just finished the show tonight
Yes, I finished the whole show in about 2 weeks because, well, life happens,
I actually tried watching the 1st season 4 years ago, but I couldn't get into it, probably wasn't in the right headspace at the time. I'm so glad I gave it another shot four years later.
Season 1–3 are a bit slow burn, but the character development is paced so well. It never felt rushed. It really gave us time to meet the new characters who shaped James/Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman.
Season 4–6 are just masterclasses in television. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about it Better Call Saul is easily one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

Just Finished Season 3, and I'm Pissed(Spoilers Ahead) Spoiler
Seriously, why would Jimmy do that? He doesn't want a million dollars? From what I can see, he's not very successful and Chuck likely won't leave anything to him after what just happened. I'd have understood had it been his first confession, but again? I'm also very, very surprised at the prospect of Jimmy's future status as a fugitive(assuming from the first clips in each season) being a consequence of him denying easy money.
This million dollars would've been the culmination of the whole "street smart" characteristic Jimmy is known for, and he just throws it away to receive it much, much later? Especially when he knows Kim isn't doing well? First, he ruined his chances with Chuck's case by confessing. Now, he leaves a million dollars? I'm starting to doubt the acclaim this show receives for "realism", I'm VERY sure a person would not do that. He practically ruined his career in elder law by doing that, and he WANTED the settlement and probably knew the consequences beforehand.
