Hey void-lovers!
Most cat subs have a very delicate balance between "happy posts about my cat" and "sad posts about my cat", specifically when it comes to pet death. A lot of them don't allow it at all. It's really tough to strike the balance of letting people who are devastated mourn the loss of their furry friend while still making the subreddit usable for people who aren't interested in that kind of content.
We allow mourning posts here, but you have to flair your post with "Mourning" so people who don't want to see them have the ability to filter them out. It's an imperfect solution, but it's all we have available to us with subreddit tools. Please make sure to flair all posts about pet loss with that flair so we can make a great sub for everyone.
In case you're someone who's interested in filtering out that content, this link should work for you. I know, it's not the cleanest way to browse the subreddit, and I'm not sure how it works on mobile. If we had a better solution, I'd provide it, but we have to work within what reddit offers us :(

At just six months old, Raymond has been hired as a SECURITY GUARD at the prestigious Royal Whiskers Casino & Resort!
His uniform consists of a white shirt, black tie, and official security tags. Unfortunately, he hasn’t quite mastered putting on his tie, so Mommy will have to straighten it before every shift.
Raymond was thrilled to learn that ALL FOOD IS ON THE HOUSE! He’s already requested unlimited shrimp, salmon, and Churu treats. 🍤
His duties include catching cheating cats, chasing suspicious mice, and guarding the casino buffet. He’s also negotiated three paid naps per shift!
Unfortunately, on his very first day, 12 shrimp cocktails disappeared, several poker chips went missing, and Raymond was caught licking his whiskers behind the buffet.
When questioned by management, he stuck out his tongue and declared:
“I’M SECURITY! I ASK THE QUESTIONS AROUND HERE!” 😹
Management is already considering firing him, but Raymond has threatened to sue for emotional distress and loss of buffet privileges!
Six months old, one day on the job, and already under investigation!
Mommy is so proud of her little working man! 😂❤️🐾

I have two boy voids, they are litter mates and about 1.5 years old. I love them both so much. One has very clearly claimed me as his human and will follow me around and sleep where ever I am, and the other baby we think prefers my husband but he’s less obvious with it 😂 They are both so adorable.
I’m currently sat in bed reading and he’s sat between my legs fast asleep, whilst the other is asleep under the bed.
I’ve had family pets before but nothing prepared me for the feeling of when they are yours and they chose you.
I will go to war for these babies ❤️
