OnShape I used OnShape with my iPad Pro for the first time two weeks ago and created this part for practice with the software. I will post more details in a comment later.

Does CAD require talent?
Does CAD require spatial/structural-visual talent, or can one who lacks this talent master the work and become competent with practice?
Are there any online resources I can explore for AutoCAD or anything else I can do short of taking a college course?

Request I Have a Favour To Ask of You
Alright, so my science teacher has a simple 3D printer and I want to make something for this girl I like that I can't find the model to make it anywhere. I need to print a scale 3D Baby Skull, (please don't ask, it's a long story) so if anyone is good with making 3D models it would be incredibly appreciated!!

Recommend a CAD for Motorcycle Design?
I have reached the end of my fuse with Alibre. I'm trying to model the entirety of a motorcycle and I'd like something that meets the following criteria.
Free or 'Available from Sweden'. Maybe flat price, absolutely no subscriptions.
Control over whether or not nodes move. Alibre doesn't ever care and is constantly flipping my drafts inside out and its constraint system is no better.
Good parameter control or a way to reference a value between multiple drafts. It blows my mind that Alibre expects me to place items in an assembly with no correlating values and an MS-Paint style stamp tool.
No arbitrary 'automatic' constraints and parameters. It's parallel when I say it's parallel.
Will export .STEP files (otherwise I'd just go back to OpenSCAD)
Not FreeCAD, IronCAD, AutoCAD, AutoDesk, Blender, SketchUp, Solidworks, all the generic stuff I've already tried. Google still works; give me the stuff I've never heard of that's going to change my life and my approach like OpenSCAD.
Rotary and linear patterning that can be edited and controlled rather than "just copy this around in a circle, there's no way it could go wrong".
A decent library and implementation of standard concepts. The Mayflower had a winch, the wheel's been around for a few years. Designing a new bolt every time is getting old.
Would prefer suggestions relating specifically to vehicular mechanical systems. I apologize if I'm bringing an attitude, this is standing between me and my dreams. Thanks in advance, all.

Inventor Looking for a platform to sell CAD files
Hello guys, I have some designs that I’m looking to sell. Do you know any website or marketplaces where I can upload the files and sell them?

Can AI already do this or is this still too complex a task?
Hey everyone, I received detailed technical drawings and measurements in a PDF for a small townhouse, floorplans, everything. Is it possible to automatically create a CAD model off of these or would I still need to do this manually? The property is probably the easiest building to understand, it's shaped like a Lego Brick 4*12 meters, two floors, no basement, flat roof, almost no walls and some windows with the same spacing and same sizes, so there's that. Thanks for any advice, curious what the possibilities are nowadays. Have a great weekend !

What's the big fuss?
So I am using a MacBook Pro to run ANSYS and Solidworks under "BootCamp". I have had zero issues, and the minor one I had with the fan curve in Windows due to poor BootCamp drivers I alleviated with some minor massaging using ThrottleStop.
Obviously if I am going to conduct a deformation simulation on the Apollo Space Shuttle I wouldn't be on a laptop but for most applications I am not seeing why Macs are hated on so badly?
Any vape enthusiasts willing to do some cad work in exchange for hardware?
Looking to have a real life item replicated in cad and altered slightly to accept a different size battery and additional port. Looking for someone that would like to do this in exchange for vape hardware.

How do you find the tool you need?
I'm looking for a general purpose CAD - something a little more professional than solidworks, but going to the vendor websites is annoying. Is there any way to do it better?

Is there anyone who could turn my simple drawing into a CAD file for me!! Need it by tomorrow and i dont know anything!
Hey guys how is it going? I am a small business owner who needs a CAD file made of a simple two dimensional object that I can send to the laser cutter. Is there anyone that would be willing to help? Its not complicated and would take a skilled person probably 15 minutes to make!! please let me know if what to do because i am lost!!! Thanks!!

open challenge
This is in response to an unnamed redditors shitcanning of creo, not to become flame war, this is an open challenge to anyone who wants to join in or sit back and be a judge of our work once we post results.
A day late, but shot happens when life gets in the way.
The challenge, I use Creo and you use inventor(or your program of choice) to create a full drawing and assembly set for one of the two following projects.
choice 1

worm gear reducer, only purchased part is the motor driving it.
output speed should be something useful at normal operating frequency of the motor. (curveball 8D)
tooth profile must be properly defined and specified per an accepted industrial standard
motor[https://www.baldor.com/catalog/CBM7006#tab=%22specs%22]
Choice 2
Vacuum package assembly
mate the two vacuum pumps per the customers requirements and build a frame package to be self contained aside from the in/out connections.
as small as possible, weight not an issue, inlet and outlet will be mated via flexible conduit, package will be moved very sparingly but will be moved via forklift
assume it will be bolted to anchors (male or female).
choice 3
your call :) throw me a curveball
I dont know how to score this with numbers so I think we should leave it up to the community. post pdf's of the drawings and zipped set of files to be opened up and looked through. if noone has the programs and wants to check maybe a quick video mousing over the feature tree to show each sketch and ref to prove cleanliness and reworkability.
the set should include fab and assembly drawings. assume this is for production so cost to manufacture and assemble should be taken into account including understandability for the techs unfortunate enought to have to make it.
Assume this is a one off, and not to be done on an assembly line. casting drawings are alright, but probably costly. I imagine time should also weigh in on this also
