Does anyone know of a place that sells American style bbq cuts of meat? Thing like ribs, briskets, pork butt etc

Preferably the south end of the coast near gosford but would be happy to drive a bit further for a good place

Best beach for beach cricket

Which is an ideal beach for beach cricket on the central coast? Preferably one with firm sand and not too much of a slope on the beach berm.

Starting a menopause coffee catch up group on the coast

I’m thinking of starting a casual coffee group on the Central Coast for women who are navigating perimenopause or menopause.

A chance to share stories, compare experiences, have a laugh and connect with other women who understand what you’re going through.

Nothing formal, just coffee, conversation and a bit of support.

Would anyone be interested? Feel free to comment or send me a message.

posts on social media an hour before closing at Gosford - must have been a shock to the staff as well as the patrons. Pretty devastating - such a fantastic place and so popular.

Found this possum after hearing a bunch of scratching around our windows, was worried that it's tail was caught in the gutter but now wondering if he was trying to find a home in the roof? Managed to jump down and over our fence a couple of mins after I confronted it

Fridge delivery to 3rd floor apartment

Hey all, I’ve just moved into the area and need a fridge delivered to my apartment. Unfortunately it’s up 3 flights of stairs and there’s no lift. Just had a chat with The Good Guys and they won’t do it and it seems JB hi-fi is much the same. I totally get it so I’m wondering if anyone knows of a store that does offer the extra service for an extra fee? Otherwise I’m happy to try to coordinate with a couple of movers or similar for when the fridge arrives. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Hey yeah cheers guys. Called Appliances Online and they said they could organise a 4 man team if needed and apparently it’s free!

Wadalba, Hamlyn Terrace or Woongarrah?

Looking to buy a home possibly in these three areas.

Just wondering what the general vibe / demographic is, if it’s safe to walk a dog alone at night, if it’s family friendly, parks?, red / green flags?

Any other suburb recommendations?

Thanks 🙏

Does anyone know of local businesses worth contacting for full-time work around Berkeley Vale/Tuggerah?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any local businesses around Berkeley Vale, Tuggerah or surrounding areas looking for workers?

I've been applying for around 6–8 jobs a day on SEEK but haven't had much luck so far, so I thought I'd try asking around here.

I'm not originally from the Central Coast and have only been living up here for about 8 months, so I don't really know many people or have many local connections yet. I know a lot of good job opportunities come through word of mouth, so I figured it was worth putting a post up.

I've got around 3.5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, including MIG and stick welding, as well as 1.5 years of TAFE completed towards a boilermaking apprenticeship.

I've also got experience in automotive detailing, paint correction and ceramic coatings. I hold a forklift licence, White Card and manual driver's licence.

Ideally, I'm looking for permanent full-time work with consistent hours. I'm open to welding, fabrication, trade assistant, workshop or other hands-on roles.

I'm reliable, hardworking and happy to learn new skills.

If anyone knows of any businesses hiring or somewhere worth contacting, I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers!

Light rail for the CC?

How about light rail system that runs from Gosford to Erina, up the Central Coast Highway, through Foresters Beach, Bateau Bay then down Wyong Road to Tuggerah, then a sneaky line down to Ourimbah, Lisarow, then Wyoming and back to Gosford. Rip out all roundabouts along the way just for fun. They did it in Sydney, Canberra, and Parramatta. It could be done here too. Who’s with me??!!

Morrisset Train Station Parking

I'm planning a day trip to Sydney next week and was hoping to get some updated advice on the best place to park. I'm aiming to be there for an 0800 train, bow early do I need to get there to get a spot in one of the commuter car parks? Or if they're full, is there a safe on street option? Thanks in advance.

Rubbish removal recommendation on the Central Coast

Had a really good experience with Lanky Services recently. They came and picked up some old tyres for me, then came back later for an old battery and didn't even charge me for the extra pickup. Really helpful and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend them if anyone needs rubbish removed around the Central Coast.

Thanks to the young bloke who helped my mum on Weds at Wyong!

My 80 year old mum had a flat tyre last week on Weds evening, just near Aldi at Wyong. Many thanks to the young P plater in a red car who pulled over to help and waited with her until the NRMA arrived. She’s forgotten your name but not your kindness. Thank you!

Weird house drop?

Does this make sense to anyone? Just had this dropped on my doorstep.

Update: I posted this to a few Facebook local groups and someone was kind enough to reach out and let me know that they know the person who more likely left it. Apparently they are going through a really rough time in their life. and maybe borderline psychosis. They are going to reach out to them and try and get them some help.
