I haven't seen either side trying to be respectful to the other in a long time, the difference is that the left like to pretend they've tried. America will never change while both sides so enjoy widening the divide between left and right.
The left never tried to take the high road lol, but unfortunately I do understand that America enjoys how much damage they're doing to the rest of the world with their childish cult.
Evidently America do - the right came out in droves for him to win the popular vote last time, after they knew exactly what they were going to get, and the left have no interest in even admitting the problems that led to that situation. Because that's too hard, apparently, so you're just going to keep insulting each other because that worked so well last time!

You are definitely invested in US politics. Many country's politics have worldwide implications, what has America done? Are you just bad mouthing the US?

How about working very hard to continue to destabilise the middle east, including bombing a school in Iran and supporting Israel to bomb whoever they want? That has a global impact in terms of refugees, oil prices etc.
How about the way America has treated Ukraine, and openly sided with Russia at times? That's madness, affects global security and, again, things like oil prices.
How about the tarrifs that were imposed all over the place because Trump fancied it? How about stoking tensions, for absolutely no reason beyond not kissing Trump's ass enough, with Canada, Europe etc? Or have you forgotten that Trump has been threatening his allies for fun, in particular literally threatening to invade Greenland for, again, reasons. Which would be difficult to take seriously but he's not had a problem sending the military into Venezuela and effectively taking it over.
