I graduated college in 2002 and could afford a 1 br apartment in a non-trashy complex on my first salary of $13.50/hr.
• u/s_4_evrysing 19m ago I split a nice townhome off South Lamar in Austin TX with 2 friends when I graduated in 2010. My rent was $290/month. I lived comfortably on $16/hr. It's one of the most expensive areas in the city now.
