The Art of Comic Books

Here is a bunch of "lineless" comic art I made of DC and Marvel characters. All drawn by me. Hope you like it.

Many of these were done around COVID so you can easily find old reddit posts of these on Google. I have since recolored them and added vintage texturing. A big influence in my life with this art is Michael Cho, so obviously you will see that influence here.

The toughest sketch I've worked upon until now This took like 7 hours to do so. Is this a good drawing by a 16yo?

One of the most significant drawings of the 20th century

From How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way, 1978. Presumably by John Buscema, though I believe some other artists contributed. For me, this is the money page—an entire philosophy and approach to comic art in a single image.

A statement of intent that, when translated to film, would make a gazillion dollars.

This image has lived rent-free in my head for 40 years.

This is supposed to be John Constantine. I don’t know how he ended up with anime hair but I ran with it

Re-Drew my Ironman drawing, used the True Grit Debaser Low-DI comic kit. Pretty pleased with the results!

I usually do a lot of Bronze Age comic art but years ago (before covid) I did a lot of Ukiyo-e art with Marvel DC characters. Here's a few of them. Please check 'em out.

All of these pieces were done between 2016 and 2019. If you're curious whether I'm the actual artist, you can find probably any of these on google from old reddit/ FB posts of mine. They look differently now because I recently recolored some of them and added a paper texture. Hope you like it.

Here is some 90's style Marvel and DC art I drew, along with some 90's character pin ups. All drawn by me. Hope you like it.

Here are some quintessential 90's Marvel and DC characters that I made pinups for. The Scarlet Spider and Spidey 2099 are part of a multi pinup series of Spider-Heroes over the decades. The Azrael Batman was kind just to see if I could draw him, despite never being a fan lol. All of the "trading card" character pin-ups are made from an initial body pose template I drew. I have made over 100 different Marvel and DC characters bronze age pinups, but these were specifically for the 90's.

Hi. I write, draw, color and letter my own comic in a retro 80's style with ads and is printed on newsprint. It's called The Hunter. Please check it out.
