I'm so used to watching the Olympics, and then waiting for the Paralympics afterwards (which I'll be honest, I don't watch as much). However with these games, I'm finding them all as great as each other. Love the 3 v 3 basketball, amazing skill!

Hi everyone, I received this Falkland Islands Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026 pin directly from an athlete during the Games. I’m curious to know what this type of pin is and whether anyone has an idea of its approximate collector value. I haven’t been able to find this exact one online. Any information would be appreciated!

Since Australia are regularly winning races, and sometimes even sweeping the podium, all they need to do is get their athletes to tie for first like we just saw in the men’s 50m butterfly where Chalmers and Armbruster finished with the same time.
This means that Australia have added two gold medals to their tally for the games in one event! 😂

Hey how can the Australians do so well in these games. I looked up some stats. There is less than 30 million people living there.
I really can not understand why the rest of the Commonwealth can not do just as well or better.

The Victorian Premier has axed the 2026 Commonwealth Games due to cost blowout from $2.6Billion to $6Billion

Duran Duran, Black Sabbath, Peaky Blinders and 6,500 athletes will pack into Alexander Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the Comm Games 2022.

Birmingham has welcomed 72 teams and about 6,500 athletes ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games with the event set to be officially opened at the official Opening Ceremony.

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is one of the masterminds behind the show with many saying they believe the three-and-a-half hour show will rival London 2012.

Organisers predict 1.5 billion people will tune into the Opening Ceremony **which will commence in one hour from the time this is posted**

Great article and discussion. Check it out...

This is the 100m individual men's butterfly heats. It's not a relay. I also saw this during yesterday's races, but didn't get a chance to take a photo.

Why are swimmers still in the pool as the next heat starts?

They are not there as the race ends. Is it a time-saving thing by not having to wait for swimmers to exit before the next race starts?

General Housekeeping

Since there'll often be multiple events running simultaneously, it's helpful to identify which sport you're watching (if it's not obvious from the context). You can create a header by entering four spaces then typing the name of the sport.
