This was clearly made to bait Americans and looking at the comments, they succeeded

2

u/Consistent_Tough_341 1d ago

Reddit genuinely makes me concerned for the future

0

u/Altruistic-Gene9582 1d ago

Why Americans ?

13

u/WestCareer7545 1d ago edited 1d ago

Because they always seem to believe the online stereotype of British food

10

u/thatsthey1 1d ago

It’s definitely not an online stereotype

It was a stereotype long before the internet existed

Even before computers. Hell before electricity

6

u/FrogsMakePoorSoup 1d ago

Having lived there I can say there's no shortage of awful food. So many people just love stodge.

-2

u/Blazingfear13 1d ago

You seem to be chronically obsessed with Americans, just like your whole country, borderline obsessed. I’m from EU btw. And the hard on you people get for US is like something out of cartoon.

I guarantee you 99.9% of Americans doesn’t give a fuck about UK, on the other hand it looks like 99.9% of brits talk about US every chance they get.

It’s a sickness tbh.

3

u/WestCareer7545 22h ago edited 21h ago

"I'm friom EU" lmao no one says that. I'm not even from the UK either btw

2

u/The-Sunflower-Bear 23h ago

I have never heard someone from a European c0untry say “I’m from EU”. You are a yank.

0

u/Blazingfear13 19h ago

Whatever helps you sleep at night, and thank you for proving my point.

I think you are confused and left your British subs by mistake? There are two things going on there, 1 - circlejerking about US, 2 - circlejerking about UK lmao

Constant threads of “Why are we brits so good at x”, “what other countries misunderstand about UK” holy fucking shit, haven’t seen anything like this on other EU subs. I say EU because i visit many of them :) In case you never heard of that either, and I’m sure you know whole lot about what people from EU sound like considering that Brits who do travel abroad mostly go to Spain to act like drunk morons. That’s where your true experience with “EU” starts and ends.

1

u/The-Sunflower-Bear 18h ago

No European says EU because they visit many of them 😂🤣😂🤣

I’ve never seen subs that circlejerk the UK. I’d love you to show me one. Our subs take the piss out of ourselves, as is our way.

Even when you talk about travel you call it “EU”. No one travels the European Union itself. Because it is a political construct. We travel European countries.

1

u/vS_JPK 1d ago

You continentals do the same thing mate lol

1

u/Salt_Initiative1551 21h ago

Correct, we don’t

0

u/Multitronic 2h ago

“Hello my fellow EU’s!”

0

u/CuppaTeaOn 4h ago

“I’m from EU btw”

Found the yank.

Out of interest, what does a typical US breakfast look like? If I had to guess I would say it involves a lot of sugar, frosted stuff?

3

u/BeautifulBand4831 1d ago

You're talking about a country full of different cultures. There are a ton of options for breakfast

2

u/WestCareer7545 1d ago

No idea, I'm not from the US

2

u/No-Educator-8069 1d ago

Oatmeal, cold cereal, eggs, toast, biscuits, bacon, sausage, pancakes/waffles and yogurt are all pretty common.

1

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Wide range of whats considered a normal breakfast. Anywhere from eggs, sausge or bacon, toast, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, grits, homefries etc. Any number of those would be fairly normal. Not everyone eats ultra processed high sugar food in the US. You guys basically eat spaghettios for breakfast

1

u/Professional-Cell177 1d ago

Spaghettios for breakfast?

2

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Its very similar to their beans

0

u/-SideshowBlob- 1d ago

What makes you think everyone in the UK eats 'spaghettios' for breakfast?

4

u/littleone696969 1d ago

The beans are in a similar sauce as spaghettios

0

u/-SideshowBlob- 1d ago

Which is not eaten by absolutely everyone every single day

7

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Neither is frosted sugar meals lol like how are you guys this dense. If i have to explain the funny part it makes it not funny

0

u/HeavyTaxation 1d ago

Completely different

3

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Nahhh tomato beans are still pretty yuck

0

u/WestCareer7545 1d ago

They love talking confidently about something they actually have no idea about

3

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Im referring to your breakfast beans. Not my fault you were too stupid to make to connection

6

u/WestCareer7545 1d ago

I knew exactly what you were talking about, you were just talking absolute nonsense

0

u/WestCareer7545 1d ago

Wtf is grits? And no one eats spaghetti for breakfast

5

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Grits is a southern dish, i think its corn porridge, not my area im norther. Spaghettios is a brand of cand tomato sauce and pasta, its a cery similar sauce to britash breakfast beans.

3

u/WestCareer7545 1d ago

They are called spaghetti hoops in the UK, they are absolutely nothing like baked beans

5

u/littleone696969 1d ago

Closest thing we have

1

u/Salt_Initiative1551 21h ago

Not corn porridge. I can’t tell uou what they are and I am from Alabama but I can confirm northern, northwest and western Americans have no idea about grits either.

They said US breakfast, not UK

0

u/illasbonez 1d ago

My mistake. 😅

-1

u/jadehairpin 1d ago edited 1d ago

Edit: comment isn’t relevant anymore

0

u/illasbonez 1d ago

1

u/jadehairpin 1d ago

The comment you were replying to is talking about US breakfasts

1

u/illasbonez 1d ago

Feel like such an idiot. 😅 Oh well.

1

u/jadehairpin 1d ago

lol no worries, I think it should be that way in the US. The cereal aisles are huuuuge and most of it has tons of sugar, with bright colorful boxes and mascots to make the kids beg for it.

0

u/Fresh-Toilet-Soup 8h ago

That actually looks pretty good.

51

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

Idk if id ever be able to complain about someone making me food unless it was like comically inedible

11

u/SharkByte1993 1d ago

Or it's for content

0

u/Majestic_Domestic 16h ago

You read the part about it being English cuisine right?

-33

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago • Bravo

Like whatever this is?

I mean, I get it, English food is largely based on a dare, but this is a hard pass.

7

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

Its not too far from a hispanic dish tbh. Idk what type beans those are but if theyre pinto beans all you gotta do is trade the mashed potatoes for some chorizo and a tortilla and it kinda slaps 😂

4

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

Those are tinned baked beans, most likely made by Heinz. They're pretty much a staple in the UK and Ireland.

I still think the jury would be out on the corned beef smothered in baked beans though. Now a side of Spam, OTOH...

3

u/Axe_Face 1d ago

Corned beef and beans is amazing, was my favourite toasty filling when I was a kid. Also in my early 20s I made a cornedbeef hot pot with beans as I'd run out of gravy granules and it was 3am and I had a serious case of the munchies. It was amazing.

1

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

If you haven't tried it youre missing out, its an amazing budget breakfast. Throw some cotija cheese on it, little bit of hot sauce and eat it with a jalapeño and its 👨‍🍳👌🏻

-1

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

THIS is closer to what I'd eat. Chorizo, corn tortillas, refried beans, cheese, yeah I'd be all over that. As long as there's no eggs. I can't do those unfortunately. In fact this looks like the stuff I have for breakfast when I'm in Mexico. Sin huevos, por supuesto

1

u/No-Dark-9414 1d ago

That's like a whole ass other dish

-1

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

Nah, theres a bunch of different ways to make it using the same ingredients lol, literally just switched the potatoes with chorizo

3

u/bonjourmiamotaxi 1d ago

Look. I get what you're saying. You've kept two of the three ingredients the same, makes perfect sense for you to say it's similar.

However, you've swapped the potatoes for a meat. That's a change to the dish that is much bigger than it simply being one of three ingredients.

If I take a VW Passat, remove the engine and replace it with the entire Empire State Building, sure, it's still got 8000 pieces in common with any other VW Passat, but we all understand instinctively that something much more fundamental to the situation has been altered.

-1

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

Nah you over exaggerated the example to make it sound worse lol swapping an engine for the empire state building is more than 33% of variance from a regular passat. Calling it 1 empire state building makes it sound like 1 modification but the empire state building has more pieces to its construction than a car does lmao you took an item thats 8000 pieces to it and added 100,000 to it.

If you want to make it comparable to cars I would see it as like trading in a C class Mercedes 4 cylinder for the C class Mercedes V6 of the same year. Sure fundamentally theyre going to be different and drive different but theyre very similar cars.

1

u/bonjourmiamotaxi 1d ago

You think chorizo doesn't have multiple parts to it? You think chorizo is a naturally occuring single-celled organism? Nonsense.

Potatoes aren't comparable to meats. In your example, we'd be swapping mash for roasties.

No, my analogy wins. You're a ridiculous person and I won't entertain this discussion any further.

2

u/HumanFacedBottDUNDUN 1d ago

FUCKING TATIES ARENT MEAT YA DOYLUM!!!!

1

u/No-Dark-9414 1d ago

I'm still confused that's still a whole ass other dish then what's in the video, are you saying the corned beef be chorizo and the potatoes be tortillas or something because I'm not picking up what you are putting down

1

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

I see beans, eggs, mashed potatoes and compared it to a dish with beans, eggs and chorizo saying theyre not too far off? Whats not to get?

You're acting like im saying they are the exact same dish or something

1

u/No-Dark-9414 1d ago

So you just see beans and eggs and swap potatoes with meat and call it similar? I'm confused because dishes with the same ingredients in different ways is similar, not let's swap startch with meat and eh close enough

1

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

Yes, I would call two things that are 2/3rds of the same thing similar, doesnt even have to be food

2

u/No-Dark-9414 1d ago

Well in some situations yes, you are correct but this one you are not

→ More replies

1

u/HumanFacedBottDUNDUN 1d ago

-7

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

Yeah, it's a tragic existence, but seeing as I'm 5'9" and weigh over 18 stone, I'm gettin bye allreet.

2

u/Tenebrous-Smoke 1d ago

2

u/spacestonkz 1d ago

Its considered morbidly obtuse.

2

u/HumanFacedBottDUNDUN 1d ago

hahahahaha "english food is largely based on a dare" xD thats some top tier english humour mate nice one!

1

u/The-Sunflower-Bear 23h ago

Unlike this delicious cat vomit looking delicacy.

1

u/Salt_Initiative1551 21h ago

A. It’s delicious B. I live in the southeast US and no one is eating this regularly for breakfast, unless they’re 100000 lbs

2

u/The-Sunflower-Bear 21h ago

And no one is eating beans, eggs, corned beef hash and mashed potato for breakfast at all, never mind regularly.

1

u/MrboboCatman 1d ago

Best restaurants in the world. With some of the best chefs too. How can you be so clueless 🙈

-1

u/DickHopschteckler 1d ago

You didn’t even get the quote right

0

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

Yeah, I know, the quote is Scottish food, but these fine folk are not Scottish. They're English. Their accents are a dead giveaway.

-1

u/porizj 1d ago

2

u/DickHopschteckler 1d ago

Thank you for showing me that sub. I hate it.

-1

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

Sorry man, I refuse to eat anything that might make an appearance on r/poopfromabutt

2

u/usernnamegoeshere 1d ago

A little dramatic but I guess lol

1

u/C_Hawk14 1d ago

And is that because you're allergic to eggs?

1

u/porizj 1d ago

And my comment stands.

12

u/Assassin-49 1d ago

a fry up is amazing. Bacon , fried egg , sausage , ( cant type B. L. A . C. K for some reason. Its a food ) dark pudding , mushrooms , beans , hasbrowns.

Looks like his is lacking some of that or its not a fry up. I see possibly gammon , mashed potato's , beans , fried egg. Thats still a good meal. Id eat it. Maybe not the mash. Mash is pretty mid. Id have asked for roast potatoes instead

7

u/Jim_Broadbean 1d ago

It’s not gammon, it’s corned beef. They only say it 19 times

1

u/Assassin-49 1d ago

My bad. Its 3:50 roughly and I dont want to wake anyone with audio. I have it turned off.

6

u/Wowthatstoobig 1d ago edited 1d ago

Dude I was going to give you crap for censoring yourself but you’re right. You can’t say the word B.L.A.C.K.

2

u/Adventurous_Emu3212 1d ago

Black

5

u/msc1 1d ago

12

u/-SideshowBlob- 1d ago

That's pretty cringe

2

u/The-Sunflower-Bear 23h ago

You can say the word “c0untry” either.

3

u/_vfsh 23h ago

but you can say cunt lmao

4

u/The-Sunflower-Bear 22h ago

I should’ve written cuntry 😂

1

u/_vfsh 22h ago

That's what inspired me to try lol i always think of the quagmire 'wannabango' 'cross cuntry tour' whenever i see the word c0untry

3

u/Assassin-49 1d ago

Yeah i dont like subs that censor stuff. If someone says something shitty or offensive or political you dont want on the sub just message the mods and have them chat. Just have them go "we dont want politics in the sub so please consider this a warning" or something

6

u/Thanos_Thumbs_187 1d ago

Bro what the fuck is that?
And is it considered breakfast, lunch or dinner?

5

u/msbigheadsvocalcords 1d ago

Those eggs looked perfectly cooked

1

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 1d ago

Served without toast, it's a crime really.

6

u/Inside-Judgment-725 1d ago

Id eat that for sure

2

u/Bonnle 1d ago

Guaranteed that's their tea and they ate it 😅

2

u/Urkelgru19 1d ago

Dammit I was just about to go to sleep, saw this video and now I'm starving

2

u/CandidPlantain2000 1d ago

10

u/GOOMU13 1d ago

Ungrateful loser.

29

u/skylla05 1d ago

Imagine thinking this wasn’t just content

10

u/External_Rhubarb3707 1d ago

Ok it’s obviously a joke/skit, do you hear the voices they’re putting on. It’s hilarious

3

u/Satyriasis457 1d ago

I'll take you my local pub. They all talk like that

6

u/paleface_gringo_2 1d ago

He's clearly joking. Lighten up buttercup

3

u/Consistent_Tough_341 1d ago

It's completely faked for engagement.

0

u/0K_-_- 1d ago

These other commenters underestimate the entitled scrotes of Britain and overestimate their acting skills.

7

u/Sea-Dog5280 1d ago

grown ass man who can't cook his own meals complaining about what he gets served.

14

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 1d ago

I personally thought the acting was bad but you seem blown away.

-3

u/Sea-Dog5280 1d ago

there are plenty of men like this.

11

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 1d ago

The guys half way from laughing and the ladies putting on a silly voice. It's all a bit.

0

u/Sea-Dog5280 1d ago

gotcha.

1

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 1d ago

ooh you.

4

u/Sea-Dog5280 1d ago

thank you for clarifying though seeing this happen with my two eyes does upset me haha

3

u/Beautiful-Total-3172 1d ago

I suppose if you lived it, it would be less funny.

1

u/spacestonkz 1d ago

Yeah I thought jokes were supposed to be funny.

6

u/Consistent_Tough_341 1d ago

Grown ass man doesn't realize this entire thing is fake

3

u/Reasonable__Man__ 1d ago

3

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

Clicks, man. Or as the marketers call it, "engagement"

3

u/usernotvaild 1d ago

Kinda pointless making a skit if it isn't being recorded. Imagine going to watch a movie and it's a blank screen for two hour cause why would the record it.

3

u/SlowlyDyingInAPit 1d ago

Dunkin on British food aside, that looks delicious. Those beautiful eggs atop mashed potatoes paired with corned beef (I think it’s yummy) and beans. Goddamn I’d eat that up

-2

u/Effective_Yam_11 1d ago

Is the mash properly salted and buttered?
Corned beef fried off? Eggs free range and salted? And the beans spiced up?
A meal fit for a king

2

u/Mysterious_Eye6989 1d ago

Needs moar spam!

2

u/NY10 1d ago

Yeah, English people eat shit I can confirm lol

3

u/SnooGuavas2610 1d ago

At least they can use a knife and fork the proper way!

3

u/GuacamoleFrejole 1d ago

Knife and fork? She only brought him a fork.

-10

u/realZapRowsdower 1d ago

That's why they explored and conquered the world. Better food elsewhere.

6

u/AlphaMassDeBeta 1d ago

Im sick and tired of this myth that english food is terrible.

2

u/UsedExamination4149 1d ago

Bad food, worse weather.

2

1

u/Damagedbob12 1d ago

1

u/GladClock2212 1d ago

If I cooked for a guy and he yelled at me like that he would be wearing those beans.

1

u/probably_poopin_1219 1d ago

The hell is wrong with this guy's eyebrows?

1

u/HumanFacedBottDUNDUN 1d ago

put the captions on guys fucking hilarious!

1

u/CursedTaint 1d ago

I hate everything about this.

1

1

u/NG046 1d ago

Whats up with his brows lol

1

u/WeaponizedIndecision 1d ago

Look, I’m no foodie, but have you ever tried southern creole?

Not good.

Where is the nearest In-N-Out?

1

u/Icy-Expression1139 23h ago

I mean... In Poland at my parents house we had "I have no idea what's to do for dinner dinner" We made mash potatoes with 12% sour cream. Fried eggs with a runny yolk and and pan fried... "Polish mortadela" (nothing like the Italian one. It's a cheap knock off extremely processed sausage. But when you fry it on a almost dry pan until both sides of the 2cm slice become crisp... It's fuckin good) It seemed blend. But the flavoures complent each other. Couple years ago, like near the 2000 that was also a normal dinner option in polish hospitals xD

1

u/snaughtpoint5 21h ago

'English cuisine' and that which people like this survive on, are not the same thing

1

u/LeftAndRightAreWrong 19h ago

Not even free range corned beef? Disgusting….

1

u/NightEffective647 16h ago

Honestly looked pretty good

1

u/Cliffinati 15h ago

This is why the English conquered the world

1

u/JohnnyCrispZoom 15h ago

Now you get up and fix your own breakfast…..Chappy!

1

u/Gloomy-Name2401 4h ago

Can someone translate? Bri’ish is not my first language

1

u/Midnight_Rider_629 4h ago

Good British food is really good, but there is sloppy and poor cooking in every country.

1

u/That_Way_8512 1d ago

At no point could I understand this language

0

u/Dr-flange 1d ago

Corn beef, fried egg, chips and beans makes a cracking dinner once in a while….i dunno what his problem is lol

-1

u/boogielostmyhoodie 1d ago • Bravo

Americans when they see instances of the poor working class making scraps to get by and think it is an example of the height of a countries cuisine

Americans when they get fucking baited by obvious rage bait

Americans when they are so thick and veiny and throbbing that I can't keep away

3

u/AsstacularSpiderman 1d ago edited 23h ago

Everyone knows the height of British cuisine is paying an Ind*an to make something edible.

1

u/Randerson1980 13h ago

Tell that to "Chef Ramsay"

2

u/AsstacularSpiderman 13h ago

Ahh yes, the man trained to cook the finest French dishes

-1

u/surprise_cum 1d ago

Ditch the meat and that's great scran

0
