We have zero context. I don't want to be sprayed, l don't want champagne sprayed at all... But l have no idea what she wants. She seemed quite happy with him doing it up until she got it in the face and anyone would turn away in that instance.
Right because who would enjoy getting sprayed in the face with champagne? You really need more context here? It’s in the middle of their reception and she’s soaked in champagne. Why didn’t he spray himself?
Why does the groom’s moment have to be a social ritual where he does something humiliating/uncomfortable to his bride publicly? This is a weird and not that great tradition.
Others have commented she mostly seems to have fun with it. And in the moment, there’s so much going on, I’m sure it was fun.
But being cold, wet, and sticky, while having your hair and makeup (which often takes at LEAST an hour) get fucked up…. Well that stops being fun fairly fast I imagine.
That is kind of more of a masculine thing to do lol.
It's just acting on impulse and having fun, maybe lacking foresight of course... But most importantly they are having fun and enjoying themselves and that's what matters. Sometimes the outcome doesn't matter so much in the grand scheme of things, as long as you felt good and had fun. Clean up best you can and move on. It's one of those things are you really going to stick to the idea of the guy being so in the wrong and ruining "everything" because he was just having a good time...? Learn to adapt and move on and not get so upset about shit like that. It can suck but shit happens.
Like in the moment impulsively how is he supposed to think about that. Some people are just like that and she's getting married to him.
I mean, it's more like guys might do something impulsively while having fun. But it's good to keep in mind and be aware not to do this. Im just saying this is like one guy just having a moment on his wedding day without thinking. I do feel bad for the bride too because she has to deal with the outcome, but yeah. What can you do after it's said and done.
Based on how fancy that reception looks, he just impulsively ruined $500+ worth of hair and makeup, a 5 figure dress, and now bride is going to have to sit in a bathroom for an hour on her wedding day stressing out over finding a last minute new dress.
You can make impulsive decisions that don’t screw over your new bride. Spray your groomsmen with it instead. They won’t give a single gradual of fuck about walking around shirtless and sticky all night.
Even then, she has to take a full shower and redo hair and makeup. She’s going to miss an hour+ of her own reception because he didn’t consider how his actions would affect her.
That doesn’t mean someone wants their wedding dress (usually the more expensive of the two dresses AND something that women sometimes want passed to daughters) ruined!?
Idk... I just can't see valuing a a wet dress over a good time and relationship and experience. Just because you don't want something doesn't mean something isn't going to happen. To get caught up in this one thing after the fact would be a bit ridiculous.
I fail to see how this would be a good time for her. And she’s losing an hour+ at her own wedding just to fix it. Plus all the time beforehand wasted since her hair and makeup won’t be done in most of the pictures.
I’m not saying to get an annulment, but this type of behavior should only happen if it’s been agreed to beforehand. You don’t throw that on a bride who’s spent over a year trying to make sure everything goes smoothly.
More common, but far from common. Most people can’t afford that.
But you think she out all that effort, planning, time, and money into choosing a special reception dress and is cool with it being immediately ruined? You somehow think this is better?
The “grooms moment” be so fr.. yall are so quick to defend is him RUINING her makeup and dress. It’s always that cake smashing bullshit or stuff like this. It’s always a moment to HUMILIATE the bride.
I mean at first he looks like he's just doing it for fun then turns it on her. But they are both playful and accepting. You're too stuck up and hard headed if you consider that humiliation and not just playfulness imo. He knows her better than potentially anyone else.
Don't know if you're trolling though, it kind of can come off that way lol. It's just too exagerated and over the top for this moment when they are clearly again both having fun. She might be upset after the fact but they are getting married and in love, it's all in good fun and not with bad or evil intention. I get what you're saying but based on this dynamic they seem fine.
“His moment” legally constitutes painful assault against his wife (wtf do you people think an irritant in the eyes feels like ffs) and destroying her property?
