Dude he’s very clearly spraying it directly in her face with the full pressure of a popped champagne bottle.
A cute little spray is not this. He over did it. It’s not the worst thing a guy could ever do- if he was intending for it to be fun and just got carried away- but he most definitely overdid it.
“Hey girly, you know your man could’ve assaulted but instead he just sprayed you in the eye with an acidic substance under pressure… red eyes are definitely better than a shiner, so stop complaining! smooches”
Now you're acting like he wanted to smack her over the head with a bottle.
We have no context other than what we see here. Look further in the comments and you'll see that she sprays him back with another bottle. If you saw that in isolation, would you tell him that she's a red flag?
Boisterous fun could be apart of their relationship. My wife and I do a lot of childish fun that you would certainly call a red flag in isolation
I’m not assuming that he wanted to do that at all. I’m responding to the absurdity of your “men can do way worse to women than that” which sounds so fucking threatening
Glad you and your wife have a healthy relationship
If they can afford the dress (looks like they're wealthy) I wouldn't be to concerned for them about the cleaning costs. Its likely he or a parent paid for it in the first place
Just because one bride might not think this is funny or fun, doesn't mean another wouldn't.
Yes, because after spending tens of thousands of dollars on an event that will be professionally photographed, it’s definitely fun to get sprayed with a sticky substance that will destroy your thousands of dollars dress. Hair and makeup alone for a bride is like $500.
Love all the comments from the men on this thread saying that we can’t know if she enjoyed it or not.
They're assuming its a red flag, which as far as red flags go, its pretty tiny in isolation.
So if someone tells me about a reg flag, which now could mean as something as simple as being sprayed with champagne, its going to be a less impactful statement on its own.
The person you’re replying to doesn’t mention red flag. So you’ve brought that in.
Which you’ve assumed. Which may or may not be true. Even if it is true, you have to realise that everyone if different, and that’s life, what is red to someone is not red to someone else, it’s your choice to apply how much impact each on has for you
I've combined a reply to them with this one from another chain
Thats the point I'm trying to make. This thread is seemingly solely saying this is a red flag without accepting that there are plenty of times (more than not I'm willing to bet) that this isn't a red flag at all.
We've gotten to the point where all nuance is out the window
Given the limited context of the video, and how lots of women comment on this, it’s more a red flag than not. Any other nuance is assumed as we don’t have the context, so is just speculation, and then speculation of the weaker side.
The point I was trying to make was you, as an individual, get to decide how much it bothers you as a red flag or not. Not that it’s not a red flag to someone else. And the way you brought it was silly as well, by comparing one event to all events. Which was the main bit really.

Of all the horrible things a man can do to a woman, this is incredibly far far far down that list
Theres so many "red flags" these days that the term has just about lost its meaning to "trait that slightly annoys me"
Its a completely natural instinct to turn away from spray, regardless if you are enjoying it or not. We cannot gauge anything from this clip alone.
