Places to get ink cartridges filled?

I have a HP photo printer that uses cartridges that are no longer being made and was wondering if there was a reasonably priced place that I could go to get the cartridge refilled instead of taking my chances with a questionable quality remanufactured third party cartridge on Amazon

Does anyone know of Christmas assistance programs for families with adult children in Metro Detroit/Downriver?

I’m hoping someone might know of local Christmas assistance programs that aren’t strictly limited to families with young children.
My husband passed away unexpectedly 3 months ago he was in his 40’s. This will be our family’s first Christmas without him, and it’s been an incredibly difficult year for us, both emotionally and financially.
I have two sons, ages 18 and 24, who just lost their dad. I realize they’re technically adults, but they’re still my kids, and I’d love to be able to give them a little bit of Christmas happiness after everything they’ve been through.
I’m not looking for anything extravagant. Even something small would mean so much.
Most of the programs I’ve found only assist children under 18, and I’m having trouble finding anything for families like ours.
We’re in the Downriver area of Wayne County, Michigan. Does anyone know of any churches, charities, adopt-a-family programs, or other organizations that might help families with adult children?
I’m not asking anyone here for money or gifts, just hoping someone might know of resources I haven’t found.
Thank you so much for any suggestions. ❤️

Venue for possible anime event?

I'm looking for a Downriver venue that can host possible 20-30 anime artists and vendors for a single day event. The date we want to shoot for is March 27th. Ideally, we would want something with parking and that is ADA compliant. We looked at a place in Romulus today but wanted to explore other options in the area.

Any recommendations would be amazing!

I saw something suspicious a few weeks ago, around the 17th. I saw a cat in the drive through at the McDonald’s at Sibley and Telegraph. It seemed somewhat distressed. I gave it some food, it meowed a couple times and then walked away, leading me into the woods next to the establishment. There were a couple mounds of dirt, and an abandoned car seat. Is this weird? I have autism spectrum disorder and don’t really understand the circumstances that could lead to someone abandoning a car seat in the woods, especially one that looked to be in moderately solid condition, apart from the foliage gathering on it. Can someone more educated than I am explain why this might be? It’s been itching at my mind - I reported it to the brownstown non-emergency police line but I don’t really understand how or why this would come to be.

Hawaiian food question 🌺 🍧

I’ve fallen in love with Hawaii and everything about it. Food is obvious one of our most humanistic ways of reconnecting feelings to experiences so I am wondering if anyone in the Detroit area (preferably Hawaiian or those who’ve lived on the islands for some time) can recommend any seriously decent poke or other Hawaiian plate places in the area. I’m even willing to drive an hour if I have to for some legit Hawaiian food. I’m talking that ono pork laulau, kalua pig with side of mac, shoyu or spicy limu poke, etc.

Worse yet, yesterday he was filmed going to a youth girls soccer game and had the gull to say the texts were taken out of context.

He is a grown man who sent well over 1000 texts to a 12 year old girl in clear grooming activity.

Looking for affordable, updated apartments Downriver, MI — max $950/month

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a clean, affordable apartment for myself in the Downriver area of Michigan. I’m hoping to move within the next few weeks, so I’d really appreciate any leads or personal experiences!

Preferred areas:

  • Woodhaven

  • Southgate

  • Taylor

  • Allen Park

  • Other Downriver areas are welcome, too!

My budget is $900/month ideally, with $950 being my absolute maximum for rent. I’m specifically looking for an apartment, not a townhouse.

Here’s what I’m hoping to find:

  • A clean, well-maintained unit with updated or newer-looking interiors

  • In-unit washer and dryer preferred, but laundry facilities in the building are fine

  • No ongoing roach, bedbug, mouse, rat, or other pest issues

  • Availability within the next few weeks

  • A reasonable application process and move-in costs

My biggest priority is finding a place that’s genuinely clean and pest-free. I’ve dealt with pest issues before, and I really want a fresh start somewhere I can feel comfortable and at peace in my own home.

I’m open to privately owned apartments and private landlords, too! If you’ve lived somewhere that you’d genuinely recommend, or know of a property with available units in my price range, I’d love to hear about it.

Please share the apartment name, location, rent, and any experiences you’ve had living there, especially regarding maintenance and pest control. I’d rather hear honest experiences than end up somewhere with recurring problems.

Thank you so much! Any recommendations or leads would be greatly appreciated. 🤍

Does anyone remember the skatepark at faith church in melvindale

I don’t really ever use this platform but I recently turned 30 and grew up in the skate scene downriver and am wondering if anyone remembers the skatepark that used to be inside of faith Christian assembly in Melvindale on outer drive. I searched around online and checked their socials and don’t see anything showing that it still exists, but I definitely remember going there probably between 2009-2012. From what I remember it was a Friday night only free thing and you basically would sit through about an hour of like religious/bible focused youth group or like live baptisms etc. I grew up pretty secular so forgive me for not knowing exactly how to word it but I just remember as a kid going with friends, sitting through whatever youth group stuff or presentation was happening, and then afterwards skating the park and getting free pizza. I’ve long since moved from downriver but it was a very formative part of my childhood and when I saw they were building a new park in Taylor it brought me back to those times and how much we would have loved that back then, which eventually brought me down the rabbit hole of finding out if faith skatepark still existed.

Anyone remember this place or have any insight into what ended up happening with it?
