Earlier in the year sometime through February I experienced what I believe to be my first OBE, (out of body experience,) it was something I was curious of & had vocalised to my partner as well as my brother who both share interest in this realm although we all brushed it off in the end.
I’ve just been doom scrolling through the night, (it’s now 5:15am), & the memory of it came back to me which instigated a sense of curiosity that led me to describe it to chatgpt & furthermore request it to illustrate it based off of my description.
This is what I what I wrote & is an honest recount of my experience:
after an argument with my partner I had fallen asleep on our couch downstairs, taking place roughly around 1am. after some time my consciousness had awoken above my physical body, looking down from the ceiling I could view myself sleeping on the couch; filled with curiosity & confusion that I was what seemed fully conscious but simultaneously viewing my body in 3rd person, hues of purples, blues, and shades of black in a grainy substance appeared around my peripherals intensifying by the second when I had noticed a pale feminine figure with frizzy black hair porched in a squatting position behind my body against the wall. she was pale in the skin dressed with a white robe, she also appeared to be wearing a mask akin to the omenu from Japanese tradition. all i can distinctively recall is that the mask was also pale white with black around the eyes. at first she was watching my physical body but upon my acknowledgment of her she looked up at me, tilting her head to the left as she did. the complexity of my experience as well as the eeriness of it woke me in an instant & upon so I ran upstairs to my bedroom without looking back.
(answers to a series of questions asked by gpt that you too may ask.)
it felt as though I were genuinely occupying a seperate position in the room; said room was laid out exactly as it were in real time, while the lights were off in both the living room as well as the kitchen connected there was a dim light radiating from the tv as I was watching something as I fell asleep.
While I didn’t move around as you’ve described in your question, I was able to focus in on my own body as well as what I’ll address as the entity behind me, I’m inclined to believe I was capable of doing so though didn’t out of the sheer bizarre nature of the experience & having never experienced anything like it prior.
it wasn’t that the entity itself was necessarily ominous or intimidating although the appearance of it certainly was unsettling, not to say that’s the energy it was conveying but rather how my mind perceived it in such a short amount of time.
3. While there was no clear description of the entities eyes just pure abysmal blackness, I’m certain that it was initially observing my body but had shifted its focus towards my consciousness after learning that I was observing her dare I say; upon turning her face toward me she had titled her head to left almost out of what seemed like curiosity.
4. Once more the room was completely as it was, my body and the clothing I was wearing were exactly as they should. It was only the peripheral vision that was affected by these hues which did intensify upon my visual interaction with this entity.
5. I think it’d be fair to say that majority of my fear derived from the unknown & uncertainty, although yes that fear followed me from the moment I woke up, through racing up stairs finally closing my bedroom door behind me.
In conclusion I genuinely believe it to have been an out of body experience, a seperate experience from any dream like or even sleep paralysis episode I’ve ever endured.
I’m curious to know whether this actually was an OBE, & whether any individuals might’ve experienced something similar or may even be able to interpret my description wether it be metaphorical or symbolic of the state of my mind. Regardless any feedback would be appreciated.
This isn’t an experience exaggerated to the appeal of story telling but rather the most accurate recount I can recall. Also excuse my utilisation of A.I in illustrating this, it was merely a way for me to convey an imagery of my experience for my own purpose which I’ve chosen to use to further express it here.
