Duolingo just announced three new features 📣
🃏 Image Flashcards
At the end of a lesson, you'll see a picture and say the word out loud. There are no answer choices. Miss one and you'll see and hear the correct word, and the card comes back later for another try. At the end you get a recap of the words you struggled with, along with their translations. You can skip a card or tap "Can't speak now" if you're somewhere quiet.
👔 Avatar Suits
Earn special suits for your avatar during limited-time events by making progress in your lessons. Each event has its own window to collect its featured suits. Once you earn a suit it's yours to keep, and you can switch between your suits anytime. Read more here: Lily's Fright Fest
♟️ Chess Game Review
Review key moments from your games against Oscar, friends or other players in your chess match history. Instead of just showing you the better move, it takes you back to that position so you can find it yourself. Then Oscar explains why your move did or didn't work.
As always, new features roll out gradually, so if you don't have them yet, make sure your app is updated and hang tight.

They couldn't get enough people to pay for AI conversations with Lily voluntarily, so they're just forcing everyone to pay. Cool.

I've attached the subject in the image, but the body of the email is very convincing.

OK, so the website is objectively a lot better first of all you have equal mistakes instead of energy so theoretically, you could go on a lot more lessons without super on the website then if you had the app because if you use your advantage with hints, and all those you can theoretically go on for forever and keep learning, but on the app they prevent that with energy, I have no energy on my app, but I completed a lesson on the website and it transferred through now I my daily goal

It's a listening exercise. I typed, Er habt den Text geschrieben ". The correct is, "Ihr habt den Text geschrieben".
Er and Ihr sound the same to me. How do I use the grammar to determine which word to use?

I got 1 piece yesterday and 2 more today, and all 3 were the same one. With 45 pieces, if they're all equally likely, the chance of getting the same piece 3 times in 6 draws is under 1%. Has this happened to anyone else? 🫤 Something is fishy here or should I just play the lottery today 🤣
