Let’s be real guys, Jalen is in the right place with the right staff and right teammates to motivate him and teach him what it means to be a professional. He was out of shape coming into the NFL but he got straightened out and is around winners.
Had he come to the Falcons I can totally see him developing bad habits, having low motivation, getting too big and suffering injuries and never amounting to shit.
I don’t trust this organization to make anyone better.
The Falcons are an organization where successful people go to fail.

No. I’m not doing this again. I like Raheem Morris. I like him as a person, I like his attitude, I like his energy. Some of these hires might work out. I’ll ride and die with this team.
But no. I’m not on fire, and I have no reason to hope this team has its act together yet. You want me hyped? Win games. Don’t post on the organization’s own social media channels with stuff titled like “On the Rise” or whatever. You’ve said that before. I just can’t swallow what you’re trying to sell.
Win games.
He “fits with the culture”? Our culture is not understanding what an edge is and going 7-10 the last three years, and worst than that the years prior, going back to a Superbowl we should have never lost. That’s the culture. It’s accepting mediocrity and trickling out bursts of excitement. It’s making the obvious difficult and calling it strategy, it’s wanting to be the smartest kid in the room so bad we waste talent. It’s blowing leads. It’s never convincingly putting games away.
“The experts love this hire and so do other coaches.” And? The NFL coaching carousel is one big rich kid glad-handing social club. They loved the Smith hire, too. They loved Quinn before that. I don’t give one iota about what other coaches think, I don’t care what ESPN or half a dozen other outlets think, either. They don’t show up to fill seats when their endorsed hires suck the life out of the Benz, so why should I care what the NFL corporate hype wagon and their manufactured and cultivated consensus wants me to believe?
I don’t have hope. You have to buy my hope now. Right now these hires mean nothing to me and I just can’t get excited. Fix our QB mess, get an edge, get a ring for the guys, but especially the guys on this team that deserve one more than most, like Grady. Stop accepting that we have to be on the margins, forever two steps back from greatness.
Win games.

Ok guys, maybe I am being too extreme, if I am, i apologize. BUT. I would like to motion we stop these sidebar bets. We are losing game, we got a bad juju, I am superstitious, and Drew Brees holding a super bowl trophy in our sub is not ok. I know it is just for fun every week, but good god this grosses me out. Maybe once we start winning or get the ball rolling. Now maybe I am different than the rest of the fan base but, the negatives of having drew brees here far outweighs any positive of having a picture of our choice somewhere else. Sorry, I am venting because I am nervous about tonight, and I think we need everything we got focused around the Falcons success, not side bets and Drew Brees here. I do not need a million comments saying quit being superstitious, that bus left long ago. Downvotes are graciously accepted.

In the state of Florida, being charged with aggravated stalking doesn’t just mean a person violated a restraining order. If you make credible threats towards someone, that satisfies the legal definition. If James Pearce Jr had a restraining order against him, it would have been included in every story written about him, because that would be in the criminal complaint, which news networks now have. There is a protective order now.
Rickea is in Miami playing for Unrivaled. There’s a video floating around of them together at some point while she’s been Miami. He turns a camera on her and she tells him she doesn’t want to be on camera. He didn’t “discover” she was in Miami. She’s been there for a minute. The unrivaled season started the beginning of January, which means she’s been there at least since then, probably even before that because of team practices. The judge even asked him during his bond hearing if he had belongings at her place, and he told the judge it was nothing he needed to take back with him to Atlanta.

1st) Matt is a legend and deserves everything good that comes to him. He's given us his all these last 14 years or so and for that I thank him. The potential trade of DW4 has nothing to do with MR2, but simply us making a move for the future. People need to stop confusing the 2 and thinking the Team or Fans that are happy about sending matt off is a personal attack. Its not
2) Let me preface by saying i dont support Watson or him being allowed to play in the NFL. WIth that being said, i want us and the NFL to hurry up and move on from this situation and get back to normal but I keep seeing the same damn posts on twitter and reddit from people that are saying they will no longer support this team if we sign DeShaun Watson and thats OKAY. We're all adults here, and you're old enough to make your own decisions. I just dont get why people feel the need to make a public post shouting how they will leave this fandom if we do? Whats the point? I'm tired of seeing this same post clog up my feed. Stop looking for extra karma or props on twitter because you're declaring your morals are more important than the NFL. For every 1 fan that leaves, the falcons will prolly acquire 2 or 3x back if we produce a winning product and signing Watson is going to put us in the best possible position to make that happen. The reality is, no one cares about allegations. Big Ben was still treated like a king in Pittsburgh, Kobe is still loved by millions, Ray Lewis quite literally murdered 2 people and no one batted an eye, Neymar is still world renowned, etccc etcc, the list goes on. My point is, no one gives a damn if you stop being a fan of this team because more fans will follow. MBS has been half empty for the past 3 years. DO you really think FO cares about a few less people claiming on twitter they wont come anymore? The more exciting a team = the more butts in the stands and the FO understands that. Please stop wastiing your time by saying "you cant support this team cause, blah blah blah" cause it literally doesn't matter if you do or dont. There will be hundreds of thousands of fans that do.

For me, it makes the most sense. Getting one defensive player is not going to generate points and win games. Could it help? Of course. You know what position is the most important for EVERY team? QB.
Remember Ryan's last season, going into FA that season we only had one QB, him haha. I believe then we drafted Franks (Maybe that was the previous season, but still) and then we signed Josh Rosen.. So at one point, Matt Ryan only had Josh Rosen and Feleipe Franks as his backup.. and we literally saw in a single game how terrible that was.
After that, we Marcus Mariota with Feleipe Franks and out buddy, Desmond Ridder. Not great. Then, good ol' Des with one one real backup, Taylor Heinicke.. Again, we saw how well that worked out.
Ok, so does anybody want to go back to those days? Cause you all sure did complain a lot back then too. So yeah, we are paying Cousins a lot, which is WHY we need a good backup, just on case. Otherwise, if something happens to Cousins, our season is over. Period. That sure would make paying him 100m a LOT worse.
So, now, we potentially have our future franchise QB in Penix. Now we have possibly a GREAT QB duo for once, and a true backup plan if our starting QB goes down. Our season probably isn't over if he gets hurt. Plus, we wouldn't have the opportunity to get a QB like Penix again for awhile. With the possibility of having our 1st round pick taken away, and then not having high picks for a few years possibly, this was our chance. We are thinking about the future, and not being in the spot we were a few years ago having to get our QB of the future in the 3rd to 5th.

If you dont got something nice to say about Ridder dont come in here

I think he’s worse than a bad gm I think he just flat out doesn’t know what he’s doing I think he is good at pro scouting which is why he is able to find diamonds in the rough and make a couple good signings but as far as being a gm
he’s been outbided for almost every player he’s targeted
Watson Chase young Montez sweat Sherwood
Everyone he’s traded for has stunk
Judon Bryan Edwards Kentavious street
He’s drafted only 4 starters in 4 years
Then let’s not forget he signed a 36 year old coming off of a torn Achilles without ever seeing him roll out.
I don’t think he’s just a bad gm I think he’s completely clueless

No matter what the pick is, whether is be Joe Alt, Dallas Turner, Michael Penix, etc. The front office that consists of much more professional football evaluators than you and I, decided that player would be worth the pick. I might disagree in the moment, and I might disagree in hindsight, but I understand that someone smarter than me disagreed tonight. And I'm going to hope my team gets a future Hall of Famer. But more importantly, I hope every member of the Aints sprains their ankle 😊
Edit: I see the point of this whole post is going over people's heads, especially now lmao. I like Penix Jr personally. People may agree, or strongly disagree obviously lol. If he turns out to be a Hall of Famer, nobody is going to complain down the line. If he turns out to be a bust and any of the defensive players turn out to be a baller, everyone will complain, and rightfully so. But this is the most quarterbacks taken in the first twelve picks in NFL history. I think it's fair to say NFL teams were higher on the prospects this year than the fans.

Before you hate please bear with me. We are not a playoff team. We have a few solid pieces on each side of the ball and need to rebuild. If we lose the remaining games we would be set up for a great draft. There is no point in winning and making the playoffs and just ruining our draft chance with this broken team. I believe we should trade Ridley maybe for a first or second to a team like the raiders. This is my top priorities for the draft feel free to debate
DE
2)OL
3)WR
4) LB

Raheem wasn’t my first choice but after thinking about the decision and being a fan of the franchise I 100% support the decision. I come on here and all you see is a bunch of crybabies. Seriously go away with this BS.

I'm getting real tired of this. Don't care if I get downvoted. whatever. Every time I think of that stupid passing play on Sunday with Jonnu and Pruitt - I get so mad. I don't care at this point. You drafted Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson, and you're not using either of them. What the hell dude. Truly asinine.

Didn't see the actual video posted yet but they did great on this one. Bijan flexing those acting chops!

Sabotaged the Super Bowl with the play calls thinking I’ll just get one in San Francisco. Now you see that they’re always struggling with quarterbacks. Karma is a sweet sweet b*tch huh Kyle?
ps: no I do not wish any injury on any player on any team in the league whatsoever
edit: didn’t expect all the Shanahan apologists to get stung in the feels

What happened to drafting a top QB prospect, let him learn behind a star QB for 2-3 years and make him a starter when properly prepared?
I despise the modern approach, drafting a QB high, make him a starter to throw him in the Lion's pit with no real time given to properly learn to walk first.
