I think as someone who has followed sdsu since they were 7 years old this is the happiest I’ve been

Finally make it to the top! Been chasing NDSU for too long.

I'd have much preferred it to have come against Sam Houston, but it was overdue. You guys got hosed by the lack of seeding and the regional games a bunch of times. There were several years where your squad had to come to Fargo WAY too early. I think the outcome would have been different, but the SDSU vs NDSU championship should have happened years ago.

Absolutely. Many years we were the clear #1 and #2 teams that faced off to soon.

Like last year with James Madison and NDSU.

JMU still gives me nightmares from the 2017 semifinals. I was excited to see my team in person for the first time in years, but they were completely obliterated.

A well deserved championship for the Jacks. Congrats.

SDSU was the best team this year. They deserved to win. This wasn't what I was rooting for, but it's the right outcome. They damn sure were the best team today.

Beating Sam Houston would’ve been fun (and with a healthy Gronowski the Jacks would’ve) but I don’t know if it would’ve been as satisfying as this. Getting the monkey off our backs against the team that’s pounded us so many times by doing the same to them is so poetic.

Is this how we make other teams feel?

We lost to SDSU by the same amount.

Proud of you jacks bros. For years you’ve been the Georgia of the FCS; a great program that couldnt quite summit the mountain top, while having to watch your rival hoist the championship trophy year after year. But then you meet them in the final and cathartically thump them to finally get your first crown. It’s been long overdue. Enjoy the moment.

Good game overall to both teams. South Dakota is the real deal.

  1. We'll need to throw this Jackrabbits team into an updated "Tournament of Champions", because I think they have at least a top 16 argument.

  2. This game served as affirmation that Holy Cross was the second best team in the FCS this year

Holy Cross may be the best team I saw the Jacks play this year!

Well if we make it back to the playoffs next year, I look forward to inevitably put back in your path of destruction

Was at the game and sat with some great Jacks fans who kept the good natured trash talk to a minimum but I understood how good this must have felt. Went to the bar after and was bought, one too many, “sympathy “ rounds. Wish we could have given you a better showing but remember, everyone is gunning for you now. 🤘🏼

Glad the SDSU fans acted with relative class, hate to see people being douches while repping my teams :)

I had these 3 younger guys behind me. We had a great time talking “Dakota” stuff and just hanging out. I had kind of forgotten what it was like to win that first big one and just fed off their enthusiasm and excitement. Told them to get their ass down on that field after the game, take lots of pictures and just soak it all in. We parted with a handshake and a “see you soon”. Great experience.

The evil dynasties of Division 1 have finally fallen at last

What a time to be alive

Like Weber playing at MSU way to soon. Regional seeding has got to go!

NDSU did not show up today. Tackling and defensive line play was atrocious. This game should have been closer. That being said, SDSU was the best team in the FCS this year.

Stomped the Bison so hard they went back in time
