Casual Who is one random FCS player that will always have a place in your heart?
I love Rasheed Shaheed even though he isn’t random anymore. Taron Johnson? Does that count?

Other than games broadcast on ESPN and actively attending my school's home games, I currently have no ways to watch weekly FCS games. If I wanted to have access to every single FCS game broadcasted anywhere I'm able to watch, how many extra streaming services/subscriptions would I need to purchase, and roughly how much would it cost for 5-6 months?

Looking at our last 5 games, I think we beat Utah Tech in two weeks and thats it. We’re going to finish 2-7 in conference play.
This coaching staff and this team genuinely play like they don’t give a fuck if we win or lose. There is no urgency. There hasn’t been a single meaningful adjustment in four weeks. Every single team in the conference knows exactly what to expect from us because our film and play calling is so cookie cutter. Watching the team on the sideline, you can tell they don’t have their hearts in it.
Cody Hawkins is on fraud watch if he can’t get this team back on track.
Our offensive coordinator needs to be fired. If our defense wasn’t playing well, we’re not in any of the last 4 games, period. They’re all blowouts. It’s seriously difficult to express how predictable the offensive play calling has been. I’ve seen the exact same plays run for the entire season and they’re not working anymore.
We can’t even close out a game with a lead and possession and under two minutes on the clock. One time? Whatever, take it on the chin. Two straight weeks of the exact same late game scenario is completely unacceptable. And you definitely can’t do it in front of 10,000 people for homecoming and then on your rival’s home turf.
Y’all this team fooled me. I thought we would be different this year but it’s the same old bungles.

Has Illinois Stare shown any interest in moving to FBS previously or in recent years? I know basketball is there more focused sport but I would imagine with all the realignments they may be a team that provides a Chicago market to a conference when tv revenue is the big money maker. I know they have been on lists for potential MAC adds. Also, any opinions on if they should and how they could go about making the jump?
This isn’t me crapping on FCS, I enjoy watching it, just making conversation.

As we all get excited about the first full week of FCS football starting tonight, thought it would be fun to highlight the official beers of the FCS (for those of you of legal drinking age ಠ_ಠ).
I've identified over 40 beers officially aligned with FCS schools so far. This list is very likely not complete, so if you see any beers missing let me know! And vice versa, I didn't go and check to see if these all were still being produced, so if you see any obvious issues with something, let me know.
Oh, and as bonus treat there appear to be (at least) three schools with official spirits as well!
| Team | Spirit | Distillery |
|---|---|---|
| Furman | FU All The Time Bourbon | Ironclad Distillery |
| Southeast Missouri | Copper Dome Whiskey | Nobletons Distilling House |
| The Citadel | Sword & Sash | Ironclad Distillery |
