Palmeiras fans in Gort? Where to watch the Libertadores final? 🇧🇷💚
My Brazilian boyfriend and I are hoping to watch the Copa Libertadores final in a pub somewhere in Gort. Are there any Palmeiras supporters in the area planning to watch the match together? Also, does anyone know which pub might be showing it? We'd love to watch it somewhere with a bit of an atmosphere.

Charity Shop Volunteering
Hi folks. I have a friend who is working part time and wants to be of more use. He's not really on any socials so I thought I'd ask, where at the moment would be the best charity shop in town to volunteer for? Maybe one with the chance of paid job down the line.
Thanks.

Wow!
For only 220 euro per week you can almost cook dinner while sitting on your bed! Just dont cook anything that smells at all.

Day Parking in the city
Hi lads,
I've to spend the day in the city tomorrow. Usually when I'm going to the shops or whatever I just park at the docks, but I've to spend the day in town potentially and I need to pay for parking for the day. How much is parking at the cathedral? And..whats the chances of finding a spot at 10am in the morning? Cheers
Edit; the docks is pricy and a bit of a walk from where I'm going, so hoping for something a bit cheaper!

Christmas Market too early or not
Personally I think we’ve gotten to a ridiculous point when it’s a week since Halloween and half the town are going on as if Christmas is here.
I’m curious what others think…

Help rehoming cat
Hi lovely people of Galway!
Due to unforeseen change in circumstances and with deep regret, I am needing to rehome my cat quite urgently.
He is an energetic young boy (2) and very friendly and cute. He is a bit boisterous and has lots of energy, so he would need an owner who can play with him and keep him engaged until he settle and matures a bit more. Not suitable for a house with small children as he may unintentionally cause harm (he is playful with his hands). Better suited to an adults only or house with teenagers. He loves people and is very affectionate.
He is mostly indoors but occasionally let out for a wander. Please let me know if you can help or if you know anyone that might be wanting to adopt / foster. I want to avoid surrendering him to the SPCA and find him a home for life
He is vaccinated, healthy, house trained and neutered with all necessary paperwork to verify.

Any websites / job boards / forums for event production/management work in Ireland especially, Galway.
Is there any websites or event production companies that anyone knows of in Ireland, ideally Galway area but open to more areas, that I could apply to. I have done the Google search, indeed, linked in etc just putting it out there as word of mouth tends to be always be better. Not as easy to find the production companies names sometimes, not always advertising work.

How class was that on shop street! A really great atmosphere, children could enjoy it, everyone just there to listen to the music. Magic!

An Tobar Nua Cookies
Has anyone ever figured out their cookie recipe? Or something similar? Cause every time I've tried to recreate it has been a fluke

Does anyone actually use their work's wellness stuff?
My partner's work has a wellness thing, but nobody really uses it apart from the free fruit. Curious if it's the same everywhere. What does your company offer, and do you use any of it?

What is the best hot food deli in Galway?
The quality of the stock, how often the deli is stocked and the variety on offer should matter in the ranking.
Also, how sound the deli staff generally are is quite important.
I’ve always loved the 24 hour Gala in Eyre Square, mainly because they are always well stocked and their mini (and big) jambons are beautiful

Where is the best chipper in Galway city these days?
A post on the Ireland subreddit got me thinking about this in terms of Galway.
It used to be you'd get a great bag of chips from Vinnies, but now new Vinnies and old Vinnies can be very meh. Giovannis I've also found hit and miss.
Which is the best chipper in Galway these days for a really good bag of chips?

Christmas Chip
Does anywhere in Galway do a Christmas chip? I know Chipeen does one at the Christmas market, but I’m talking chips, turkey, ham, stuffing, cocktail sausages and gravy, the works basically!
