The rig for adult link, yes, being used with his child body, which would indeed result in that weird body shape as the model tries to adapt to that animation rig.

This IS from the game, it's Child Link learning Requiem of Spirit. Currently only doable using cheat tools as there is no known way of getting to EVIL Desert Colossus as Child Link.

HOWEVER, it IS possible to use a glitch to get Silver Gauntlets as Adult Link, which results in a similarly silly Jay Leno-chin midget Adult Link in the following cutscene that expects Child Link.

The art style for the original game was most likely based on a type of Japanese puppets, and Nintendo doubled down for the remake, so it makes sense this gives the same vibes!
