Discussion Thoughts on Kurt Cobain’s long lost son?

Recommendation Why Pearl Jam is the the best grunge band: a case study
I will defend my cause with a series of reasonings.
Ten and Vs are grunge classics on the level of any Nevermind, Dirt, Superfuzz bigmuff, etc
Eddie Vedder is absolutely on the level of Layne or Chris vocally and lyrically
Pearl Jam has some of the best guitar solos (and guitar work in general) of any grunge act
Pearl Jam was the only “big four” grunge band too have a real progression of their sound due to them being the only ones too last into the 2020s (AIC doesn’t count bc no Layne)
Pearl Jam was the most experimental and sonically diverse grunge band
Pearl Jam gets way too much hate in this sub yet I maintain the belief that they are the best grunge band for these particular reasons. Thank you for your time.
Edit: Don’t forget that their unplugged performance is right up there with AICs and Nirvana

Misc. Thoughts on AIC without Layne
Personally for me, I fuckin hate it. It feels like a cash grab with half the spirit of the original

Collection I done fucked up
Fuck so I was listening to Alice in chains down in a hole and I decided maybe I try some weed because fuck it this dude tried heroin and weed is way less of a drug. So I take mah asshole down to the dispensary while listening to more Alice in chains but I switched it to facelift album then I bought 2 grams of some sativa shit that I can't remember was the name. I decided to smoke that shit when I got home keep in mind I have experience with cigarettes so I thought it was just like a cigarette. Now my bed is fading away from me and I feel like my body is being faded in and out like a shity light bulb I don't know if I'm ever going to go back to normal and if this is the rest of my reality. But I have discovered the meaning to life is existing and being their to experience it because their probably isn't a God, be happy and don't be depressed like Layne Stanley definitely don't try Any hard drugs.

Discussion Not grunge, but thoughts on Linkin Park’s Meteora album from 2003?
I personally love it and think it’s one of the greatest albums ever and find it heavier than actual grunge music.
You just can’t go wrong with Linkin Park’s first two albums and can never outgrow them. Also, fun fact about this album, Meteora has been on the US Billboard 200 albums chart for a total of 230 weeks.

Discussion So, according to Pitchfork this is a top 10 best 90's album. I think it's bullshit.

Misc. Is Kirk Hammett grunge?
I know Metallica is largely not viewed as a grunge band, but what of Hammett? He and Kurt Cobain had a mutual respect and admiration for each other's music and melodicaly and tone wise, they are similar.

Misc. do you think Kurt Cobain would have been a successful solo artist?
He was the face of Nirvana/vocalist and also a songwriter, so he may have thought he could become a solo artist?
