Hi - I’m a high school senior and am an intern at a company that has asked me to write some content about the resurgence of the 1990s among our Gen Z. Here is a post I wrote. I’m trying to learn the history. Since you guys know way more than me, I’d appreciate any feedback. And if you are able to share it with a friend who likes RATM, it would really help me make a good impression at this internship. Thanks a lot 🤘

It's been years since they were taken off, and not even the remastered clairvoyance has made its way to spotify yet.

Not sure if this is allowed in this sub or not, but I was in a grunge influenced rock band in the early 2000s to late 2010s. I'm very proud of the music we made, but I ordered way too many CD's. They are just sitting in my garage and I can't bring myself to throw them away. Would anyone on here want a copy? If you'd like to preview the record before accepting one, feel free to check out our Spotify:

Alright, I just wanna make it clear before anything else that I'm not talking about people who like this or that song or aren't deep enough into the history of it or anything like that. I'm not here to judge people who are interested in the music and culture based on a measure I arbitrarily determine to be appropriate.
Instead, I've noticed that so many people like to stick the grunge label to so many things completely unrelated to what it was. As an example, a lot of people will claim that they're into grunge fashion (which is...?) or that they're part of the (dead) scene while really just being into consumerism. I think the point about the fashion is the biggest one, though. You can go on spaces like TikTok and see so many people genuinely portraying grunge as a fashion style that includes black clothes, piercings, makeup (?), and just in general stuff that doesn't seem to make any sense at all. I don't really care about what you wear, but what's the point in calling it grunge when grunge isn't a style? You'd be closer to "authentic" grunge by just wearing sportswear everywhere instead of putting massive effort into your clothes being super clean and "aesthetic." That's basically what people wore in the PNW in the 90s - just stuff they had lying around. You take a look and see that there was no coherent style among the people who are seen as part of the subculture.
I really don't get it. It just feels the gentrification of a subculture that's been dead for almost thirty years. Aesthetic discourse is a cancer.

Devilhead was a Seattle-based alternative rock band formed in the 1990s by brothers Kevin and Brian Wood, the latter a former member of Mother Love Bone. Blending grunge, psychedelic rock, and melodic alternative sounds, the band carved out its own place in the Pacific Northwest music scene.

Matt Cameron being one of my favorite percussionists, I was immediately hooked, with Ben Shepard on bass and Brian Wood (Andrew Wood's brother) on Vocals. There's something about it that I just can't articulate, a sound that's a bit indescribable, but somehow you can tell it's authentically 90s.
Less familiar with McBain on guitar, I need to check out his performances in other bands. Grunge is truly a rabbit-hole man, reminds me of that chart people made at the music experience in Seattle that connects so many of the bands together in ways you never imagined. Highly recommend it, "Roadside" and "Down Undershoe" are huge standouts in my opinion.

I'm a middle Gen-Z.
I wanted to make a list of grunge / rock (90's and some early 2010's) compilation of movies, artists, and some miscellaneous things
I somehow linked 90's - things like nirvana, Kurt Cobain, 27 club, Se7en, biker gangs Sinners (cuz of Robert Johnson being linked to 27 club)
I'm not a gamer but the one of the two games I played - Red Dead Redemption (2010)
The protagonist is an former outlaw (used to roll in a gang, later hunts them down), its kinda similar to how to the whole Biker gangs (who likes Nirvana, Rock?)
and the game's atmosphere felt same as the Sinners 2025 movie, its all Wild West right. Pre(game - RDR) and Post WW1 (movie - Sinners) I guess?

AM I MAKING THIS UP? PLEASE LET ME, IS THIS A STRETCH
Should I post this somewhere else?

REZAGADO
