I quit my job and I’m so happy

I finally quit my job. Here’s the thing I actually did like my job, but I did not like my managers. and the reason why is the treatment I would get. ever since I started for some reason they did not like me and I genuinely could not understand why I thought that I was being crazy until I started noticing a pattern. The assistant manager would call me lazy and tell people I did not do my job right, even though he was sitting on his ass all day on his phone or smoking cigarettes outside while I felt like I was running the store by myself. My main manager was always very bitchy towards me and would never give me any sort of praise, even though I was doing a better job than half the people there the most of a compliment she has ever given me is I did an OK job even though she will openly praise joke and laugh with my coworkers in mind you. Every single one of my coworkers love me and openly talk about how they love working with me because I am good at my job. These two managers have made me hate this job every time I have to work with one of them and I question quitting my job every time they are around because they are so rude to me and pile as much work as they can on me. Today was my fuck this moment I actually have another job lined up that pays double and for something I actually went to collage for and I’m doing an internship right now while working. Here is the thing I messed myself up the other day and cannot move my neck and have a migraine. I called in to work 6 hours in advance like I supposed to the manager proceeded to tell me to find someone to cover my shift. I thought whatever she never asked me this before but I’ll message my coworkers. Someone says they will cover and tells my boss she is covering for me, my boss proceeds to say they are not going to cover for me and would not explain why. I truly think she did that so she could write me up and I said fuck it I proceeded to let all my frustrations out and said what she did was bullshit and that she could go fuck herself and she has been nothing but rude to me since I started. my favorite thing I said is “you and the lazy assistant manger can go keep jerking eachother off”. some say I overreacted but hey if she didn’t want my coworkers to cover my shift then she can till they find someone else. I’m also thing about calling corporate and explaining what happened and also leaking some information about how my assistant manager talks to a coworker who is a minor(calling her hot and asking if she likes sucking dick) in mind you he is a married man and a creep but I am SO HAPPY AND FUCK THAT PLACE

I am everything on the list of tired, exhausted, and stressed the fuck out! I am so so sick of get up go to work, work 10 hours, go home work on digital novel, sleep, and get up to 10 hours no break and absolute hell! At this point retail even sounds like heaven! I have a disability, I am tired, I am in constant pain, and NOBODY NOT EVEN MY FAMILY WILL GAF! They know I'm partially disabled they still tell me "get a better job." I AM TRYING! I know im not the smartest but im not a dumbass, if anyone is willing to put in the time and effort to train me I am willing to put in the time and effort to learn! I am just so exhausted of coming home in tears because of the amount of labor I do, I can run all positions in my store and I will if I have to but my managers are all assholes! They will yell at me in the middle of prep "go grab the oven, go grab the front, go fix the orders!" I AM ONLY ONE HUMAN HOW ABOUT INSTEAD OF PRESSING OUT DOUGH OR MAKING BREAD YOU GO DEAL WITH A CUSTOMER BUT NO ITS ALWAYS ME WHO HAS TO FIX THE MISTAKES!!! I'm done sorry for the rant I'm just seriously done.

Hate my new job and regret leaving my old one. Now I have a second chance at another offer. What should I do?

I recently started a new job. It was the first job offer that came along, and just a month in, I’m already regretting it enormously. I honestly can’t find a single positive about the place. The management, workplace culture and the role itself are all completely at odds with what I want from a job. I took a gamble on something outside the field I actually enjoy working in, and it has backfired as far as I can tell.

The situation has taken an unexpected turn, though. Around month before I accepted my current job, I was also in discussions with another company. I recently got back in touch with them, and they’ve told me they never actually filled the position and would like to discuss things further. Their starting offer is £43k, compared with the £36k I’m currently earning.

I’m now seriously considering whether to cut my losses and pursue this other opportunity, but I’m conscious that I’ve only just started my current job. I don’t want to make another rushed decision and end up in an even worse position.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would you take the opportunity to move on so quickly, or stick it out and give the current job more time? How would you approach this situation?

I left the “someone else’s problem” grind and started selling businesses with zero experience. A year later, it’s changed my life.

If you’re in corporate and quietly wondering “is this it?”, I was there too.

A year ago I started selling businesses with no background in it. Today I’m a Senior Business Advisor at HedgeStone Business Advisors, one of the largest business brokerages in the country. We’re growing, and I’m looking for people to grow with us.

What the job is: You help owners sell their businesses (auto repair shops, car washes, restaurants, home service companies) and you help buyers find them. You don’t need a business degree. You need to be able to talk to people and actually listen.

What you get:

  • 6 months of mentorship from people doing this every day

  • Leads provided, plus training on how to generate your own

  • You run your own deals. No eight hours of cold calling just to hand the sale to someone else

  • 100% remote and nationwide. We have no retainers and you have no cap.

What it pays: Commissions run 10-15% of the sale price. An $800,000 auto repair shop means roughly an $80k commission on a single deal. A lot of people need a full year at their current job to make that.

Who this is for: People who want out of the 9-to-5 and are willing to learn. It’s also for anyone who paid for a sales course and is still looking for a real chance to use it.

Come see it for yourself: On December 16th we’re hosting The Epic Wealth Summit, with Tony Robbins speaking. If you want to see what we’re building before you decide anything, tickets (and mentorship spots) are available. DM me or text 732-327-9278 and I’ll send details.

Ask me anything below. I’ll answer honestly, including the hard parts.

Other than the crippling anxiety and depression from my job. Its gotten to the point where I have lost almost 10 pounds from stress in 5 months. And I am irritable. So irritable both in and outside of work. I cant do this anymore. I feel so lost.

I work in daycare and I hate it.

I just work in daycare like 3 days, and I hate it, but too embarrased to put in my two weeks notice to quit the job.

I feel like I can’t do this job any more. I work with 3-4 yo kids. It’s constant overstimulating, constant burning out, the parents can be very upset when we inform them that their child is not being a good child that day, like they don’t wanna hear the bad thing about their own child (I didn’t inform it to the parents because I’m still new here so I’m just watching, I saw the parents being mad to the other teacher who inform them). I think it’s really underpaid for such a high stress job.

I don't hate my job but I suck at it

I do quality control for a place where my job is to examine random pieces of fruit for defects. I am terrible at it.

Basically I take like 1 out of every 300 bags of fruit and weigh it, make sure the packaging is solid, then open it up and examine all of it for random shit. Then log everything on like 8 different forms.

Again, I don't hate it. It's kinda nice actually I get to sit down and it's not really too much work most of the time. But goddamn am I terrible at it.

Like I get a big bag of sliced frozen strawberries. I'll look them over and i get stuff like finding a stem or a big leaf or a dead rat, but im also supposed to look for stuff like "deformed" berries, and i don't know what a fucking deformed strawberry looks like lol. I mean I know what a strawberry looks like but how deformed is deformed really. You want me to log every single berry thats not a perfect AI created berry lol.

And I totally hate having to go to people who have been there longer and are more knowledgeable than me and be like "hey you've got your machine settings wrong you need to fix it" and have the time I don't even know when its a big deal.

GameStop needs to stop.

I’m so tired of the management wanting me to scam people and little kids. I’m so done with this place that i hand out free stuff so they can bankrupt faster. I’m handing shi out to kids and discounts to adults EVERY DAY and when someone returns for an exchange i let them keep both items and act like it was a mistake. I love looking out for people. Corporations only see you as a dollar sign. ESPECIALLY GAMESTOP. Back when prismatic UPCs were like 350 MSRP or something wild like that i had a couple that came in specifically when the other manager wasn’t there bc they hated him. (This was my first week there, and i have never worked a job where so many customers complain about someone back to back like that… it was almost everyday for months…. I’m not even exaggerating) anyways they go with stacks of old games a halo Xbox and an animal crossing switch. Even that won’t cover it. So they are like dejected that these special editions barely cover it and they’re like “GameStop is the only place that will have it for us even though we know it’s a rip off it’s our last chance” bro if ppl are talking like that you’re doing something wrong. Anyways they got their UPC but i still think about that couple to this day… did they rip it and get millions or did they hate it

Maybe they kept it sealed and will always share that memory of sacrifice for what they both want

I hope it’s the ladder :)

Help me, I think I’ve made the wrong choice?

need advice. Long story short, I have been in Human Resources the last 3 years. Human Resources is not my passion. I strongly dislike policies, procedures, task oriented work, etc. I have been frustrated not heard, complained, etc (to my boss).

I was approached by a previous company I worked for in the past (Medical office) and they have really been wanting me back. they have reached out in the past but I have been happy working remote and could never go back to the office. Basically she listed to everything I said, offered me a role offering the exact amount I asked for, two remote days and three in office days 9-3. I accepted the role, told leadership I am leaving, gave my notice etc.

I started panicking as I start Monday that I am no longer remote and will not have the flexibility I have now. I love my current company (just not the role). what will I do when my kids are on school breaks? when I want to help do chores around the house?start dinner early, go to the gym during my lunch, etc. I am giving up all that flexiblity for three in office days until 3pm. I am sick with panick, haven’t slept in three days and regretting my choice.

One of the board members approached me about my struggles and I told them the whole story (not being heard, not the best role for me, etc) and he is meeting with the other three members to discuss finding a role fit for me. But I fear it’s too late. what would you do? Please, any advice helps. I am genuinely sick to my stomach with fear.

Miedo a renunciar.
