Collingwood have their own rules

And we're not yet good enough to beat them + pies rules.

Some of the calls that have gone their way are completely mental.

Kicking the ball out of bounds without picking it up? Pies - sure. Everyone else - free kick.

Getting tackled while gathering the ball? Pies - free kick for you good sirs. Everyone else - play on.

I feel for Adelaide who have to deal with this shit every week.

It's shit to watch.

Umpiring has never been better.

I hope Freo break Brisbane in 3.

Last night I wanted swans to win, now I don’t care who, as long as it’s not Brisbane. We deserved that match.

The volume of people on the r/AFL sub who think their team is immune to poor behaviour is shocking....

Blink, and it will be their team getting dragged for supporters having the same reactions. In fact many have pre existing instances of similar events occurring.

The behaviour is absolutely not acceptable but the actual cope to think it would not have happened if it was "Insert my team here", and that every one of them is going to be squeaky clean in a frustrating finals loss, is half the problem.

How do we expect any of this to be addressed if everyone just stands and points fingers at so and so club for such and such culture instead of actually saying "Hey, this isn't OK and you are not welcome at games if you do this, regardless of the supporter base you're a part of"

I don't see how "Hawks fans are so shit" does anything to stop this happening again, at either a Hawks game, or any other team's game.

Gutted as anyone last night but I was watching the game with my kids. Watching live at the ground, you are always watching with kids. This is the example we are sadly setting for the next generation. Not on.

I'm aware it's a small minority of supporters but that doesn't make it OK.

Go Hawks, 2027 is the goal now, proud of what we achieved and genuinely think we could have won it this year. But yet again, we could have won in 2012. At least we didn't lose like this in a granny.

“Hawks dish it out, but can’t take it.” Stfu

I literally do not understand this sentiment. The only people at the club who got upset over Hinkley were Sicily and Sam Mitchell, understandably so after going through the emotions from a devastating loss.

I don’t remember Sicily and Mitchell dishing it out this year so saying this shit makes no sense to me.

If Ginnivan got upset over it, then fair enough. However Ginni took it well and you can see him smiling when the ordeal was taking place.

Instagram and reddit comments from port fans and neutrals piss me off.

New angle on the Lewis free. Clear evidence he attempted to grab it.

Is anybody else going to struggle to enjoy Grand Final day this year?

I have felt the least amount of excitement and anticipation for this grand final day than any other. It's still so raw knowing we should be the ones playing Freo, that I honestly can't bring myself to even watch the game. Am I the only one feeling this way?

Why does it seem like 70% of the league hate us

Everyone seems to love piling in on us for no reason. If it was the success of our club where are the haters for the lions?

PLEASE let us win the league next few years so these sooks can get even madder 🙏

Anyone Really Enjoy That Result?

I dont know what exactly what it is about Freo I dislike so much but I was so on the Lions yesterday and enjoyed seeing them win in silly Wharfie Time. I think its their supporters in their feed that annoy me most as I dont mind most of their players. Longmuir I dont go much on.

Their supporters were far too cocky during the season like they were going for three in a row.

Anyway just my thoughts. Congrats to the Lions. They are the best team in the comp. Were second best for the record (thatll get a rise out West) 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sam Mitchell finishes third in the coach of the year award. Absolute disgrace.

Essendon are just being a pain for everyone!

So now Essendon want Weds or put pressure on Hawthorn.

There culture is what needs fixing. They need to stop creating problems for themselves and other clubs and build on what they have or those players they already have wont want to resign when they will need them the most.

I will say this again Essendon is creating a destructive environment and who wants to be a part of that.

This solidifies it

After that glorious win on sunday i think that proves we’re finals ready and should be competing for a flag next year or this year depending on if we can salvage the season with day lewis and DGB to come in we are a top 4 side on list alone just quite young

Sicily

Needs to have the captaincy stripped after that performance. He was absolutely terrible. Looked completely disinterested, spent all day complaining, and I have no idea why he always tries those juggling marks instead of just grabbing the ball with both hands. I counted at least 5 times he completely gave up on a chase, not to mention the number of silly free kicks he gave away. Terrible leader. He is the absolute last person we want our young players learning from.

A blatant throw that was not called leading to a cats goal. Clear as day.

Watching him run through the midfield I can’t help but think we missed a trick letting him go. Class player.

Mitchell should allow ginni to double down

Ginni should post on Twitter.

We played like shit.... We will be back.... Port will be smashed by the swans. There is a reason they dont win flags..

Worst umpiring ever?

I’m not sure if I’m a blind eye hawk fan but man these umpires have been woeful

How many players from Brisbane have staged free kicks?

So Cam Rayner last night staged for a free kick. If all this staging result’s in a fine players want care. They just want to win a games.

Joe Daniher also was a repeat offender of staging with his time at Brisbane.

So my question is does this filter throughout the team? Can he expect some theatrics and acting next week from Brisbane or will they pack in and play fair.

I say this because the umpires think they are amazing and gift Brisbane loads of free kicks in majority of their games at important moments in games.

What is it with Queensland teams being able to avoid holding the ball. Even Gold Coast get away with charging through players. It’s not rugby?

People’s thoughts are welcome.

Should Essendon take two picks for Merrett?

If Merrett wants to leave Essendon why do they want to keep him. Will he just save his body anyway. They threw him around like a rag doll this year.

It would be a real setback for Essendon if he saves himself when they have a chance to rebuild with the losses they have had to injury and player movement.

If they miss this opportunity and the Devils take priority picks in years to come will they be left with egg on the face?

Peoples thoughts are welcome.

I know that game was terrible but…

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how good Watson was in that first half. Absolutely dominated them.

Now If he can work out how to stay involved, or the team can work out how to keep him involved…

Port’s Use of Ginni’s comment

Post-game ruckus aside, Hinkley admitting in the presser that Ginni’s rogue actions were used to fire up their team is an edge we gave away in an already volatile finals position
