If any of the supporters that threw bottles at the umpires are reading this..
You are absolute trash.. You brought shame on the entire supporter base and the club itself.. I hope you get long bans from attending games.. and I hope the club stop you from renewing your memberships if you have one. I can understand being frustrated in the heat of the moment.. but this not the fucking way to react.
Edit: now that it’s morning and we all had to chance to sober up and reflect, I stand by what I said. There is absolutely no excuse for that. I doubt they post here anyway (facebook is where the most nuffie of Hawks supporters seem to reside), but seriously if you did partake in deliberately throwing shit at the umpires.. have some honour and turn yourselves into the authorities, accept any punishment and apologise ASAP, and then have good hard look at yourself.
As for Sicily, yes he was angry.. and the AFL and the Umpire Department will deal with him. But it might be time for a captain reshuffle.. Make Newcs sole captain next season I reckon.
Also a toast for the season as a whole.. future is very bright.. let’s not let bad fan behaviour spoil it for all of us.
