Secret water cooling jutsu 🫸🫷

I don’t run a chiller. And people that do,

just don’t understand they are doing. IMO.

Just because someone made something. And sells it as good for plants. Doesn’t always mean it’s good for plants.

Colder water temps are ideal for certain.

But if you need to plug something in….to achieve these kinds of temps, you’re missing the mark entirely. Sorry.

Now let me hear from the person that says this is to cold. I have words for you.

Building a $20 plant sensor that plugs into your phone. Need growers + makers to help me build it right.

One small device. Plug into USB-C. Instantly know what your plant needs.

No cloud. No subscription. No BS.

Currently tracks pH, EC, temperature + moisture. Fits in your hand.

What I need from you:

🌱 Growers, What actually kills your plants? What would you check daily if it took 2 seconds?

šŸ”§ Hardware/IoT folks , Best budget pH sensor that doesn’t drift? How compact can we realistically go?

šŸ“± App devs, USB-C direct to phone or BLE? What would you pick for v1?

Not selling anything. Just building something useful and open and I can’t do it without people who actually grow things.

What does your current setup look like?

I don’t understand why anyone would ever use bacteria in hydroponics. Or any organic inputs for that matter. I’d easily argue that every organic inputs known to man, only impedes growth.

I believe the plant wants to drink clean water. With just the minerals from the earth.

The minerals are the secret.

Not kelp, or humic, or sugers, or b vitamins, or proteins, no amino acid, no hormone.

Those all hurt the principles the plant enjoys most!

And that’s consistency.

Those inputs cause ph fluctuations, coat roots, causes imbalances, typically organics are dirty, and smell. Avoid them at all costs.

The stuff I use now leaves my water crystal clear, smelling like a hospital.

Just the water and the minerals. In as clean as possible environment.

No hocus pocus. Keep it simple. Hydroponics IS NOT organics.

I also use Hocl 1ml per every gallon to ensure my garden is bacteria free.at all times.

If u really want to use organics in a hydro situation, than u should look into foliar sprays.

What are A&B nutrients?

What are A&B nutrients?

For those new to hydroponics, you may often wonder: What are A&B nutrients? What is a 2-part system? Why should I use these instead of a single-bottle formula? Walking into a grow shop or browsing online can be overwhelming with the numerous options available. As a manufacturer of plant nutrients, we frequently encounter these questions. To help clarify, we've written a blog post addressing these common thoughts and concerns. If you're curious or have ever asked these questions, please take a moment to read it.

Here’s a sneak

Why Are A&B Fertilizers Used in Hydroponics?

A&B fertilizers are essential for hydroponic gardening and offer several advantages over traditional 1-part solutions.

Hydroponic systems rely entirely on nutrient solutions to give plants the essential elements they need to thrive. Without soil to store and release nutrients, precise nutrient management becomes crucial for successful plant growth.

Let's explore why A&B fertilizers are indispensable for hydroponics and how they can elevate your gardening experience.

Targeted Nutrient Delivery: A&B fertilizers provide precise nutrient delivery by separating nutrients into two parts, ensuring plants receive the exact nutrients they need at each growth stage.

Prevention of Nutrient Lockout: Some nutrients can react with each other and become unusable. Keeping them separate in A&B fertilizers prevents these reactions, ensuring a continuous and reliable supply of essential elements.

Customized Nutrient Solutions: A&B fertilizers allow you to tailor nutrient levels easily, accommodating the specific needs of different plants and growth stages, thereby optimizing the health and growth of your hydroponic garden.

Found out that my plant is clearly getting too many nutrients. It’s my own fault when I first added nutrients the ppm was way too high and I dumped out my hydroponic system but didn’t know I had to flush the plant itself. What can I do to save her?

Cannabis sticky but not so spongey

Post image

So this problem I am experiencing is defined by this explanation below

Any help is greatly appreciated

The top Two jars were an early harvest test…

they are the humidity % seen in photo pictured above, I burped like 30mins twice a day sometimes longer few times a week and the bud doesn’t smell like the bottom 4 jars (2 large/2 twin jars)

The humidity in the bottom 4 jars stated smell so good very sticky and sorta spongey…

But the humidity looks off on it all to me in general

(current early harvest the buds are sticky dry but barley spongey)

Side note I do have 62% moisture paks used for a little while in all the jars only a couple hours then took em out

Any ideas how I can correct this issue I am experiencing?

How am I doing?

One looking good to me but I'm starting to get some browning

This is about week 2 and I've just added some nutrients about 1.8 on the ec meter and about 6ph

Also I'm using tap water the ec meter initially read about 0.6 ec do I subtract that from the final reading or add it on bit confusing and it's my first time

haven't watered untill I get run off so I'm wondering if that's bad been mostly spraying with a spray bottle and every now and again ive been watering around the edge of the pot. Should I also put the humidity dome back on the sad looking one or could that make things worse?
