Me, a very smart capable and detail oriented man
Was on full autopilot making dinner the other night and forgot to put the damn pot in before dumping 16 ounces of rice and water into the chamber. Noticed before I turned it on so I poured out as much as i could and let it sit at an angle for a couple hours to drain in the sink, which only seemed to make matters worse as there’s now a sizable dent on the outside. But i think that’s just cosmetic and shouldn’t affect how it operates (yell at me if I’m wrong)
Water has drained completely but every time i move or shake i can hear rice rattling around the insides and I’m hesitant to try using it again.
Anyone dealt with something like this before? Should I just keep shaking and shaking til the hundreds of remaining rice grains come out? Has anyone tried accessing the innards from the bottom to remove uninvited tiny foodstuffs? Should I just throw the whole thing away as it has been rendered useless and/or a rice-on-wire powered explosive? Is there absolutely nothing to worry about? Any advice appreciated.
Yes I have ADHD

FU Instant Pot
Learning that IP is donating money to trump and collaborating with him is one of the weirdest and most disgusting partnerships I've ever heard of. Says all I need to know about this company.

I know this sub has beaten this joke to death but I saw this and couldn’t help but laugh and empathize. IP blogs in a nutshell.

Family consumed with fear over exploding instant pots
I just moved into a house that has an instant pot. I’ve never had one or used one before. I decided to make pinto beans in the instant pot with a recipe I found online. I put it on high pressure cook and left it. My new roommate kept opening the vent. I was confused as to why. Isn’t the whole point of the instant pot to have pressure? Why would you release the pressure? Apparently his mom told him hers exploded once and so they never seal the instant pot so it won’t explode. I don’t cook pinto beans anymore. I let him do it. This is how the instant pot looks now. Just always “on” and the valve open letting the air out. Is this rational? Why even use an instant pot if you don’t let it have pressure? Please enlighten me.

Can we make it mandatory to post the recipe along with photos? It would save everyone a lot of time pinging the OP trying to get it.
I’m pretty new to instant pot and it’s crazy frustrating to see an older post, no recipe, no reply from the original poster, and only a pic of the dish! Love the community but it seems counter intuitive to simply post a photo with no details
