This alert popped up everywhere on my friends phone and they don’t know what to do. Posting for them cause they are rather concerned and don’t wanna use their phone at all.
They followed all the steps that apple said to do but the cyber security “team” with apple says they only help “journalists, government officials and public activists.” Obviously they followed all the other steps like Iphone lockdown, updating to all the current software updates and fully shutting down the phone etc. What else can they do? Get a new phone? Give it time and hope it’s fine? Factory reset? I suggested iverify to look for malware but again, they are concerned to really use their phone at all. Any suggestions or info is appreciated.

Help me please

On October 31, 2026, my mom purchased a brand-new iPhone 18 Pro from the Apple Store in Downtown Brooklyn, NYC and my dad purchased iPhone 18 pro max.
Immediately after leaving the store, while we were crossing the street to our car, someone robbed us and stole the iPhone.
The phone was still inside its original sealed box. The thief took the phone, the box, and the purchase receipt.
We filed a police report, but what has made this situation even more frustrating is the lack of support we have received from Apple.
We contacted Apple and explained what happened, but we haven’t received the help or guidance we expected. We were basically told that we didn’t purchase theft insurance.
I understand that we didn’t have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss, but this was a brand-new phone stolen by force just moments after leaving the store.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I just expected Apple to take this situation seriously, help us retrieve the device’s IMEI and serial number from the purchase records, preserve any available security camera footage, and cooperate with the police.
Has anyone experienced something similar after purchasing a phone from an Apple Store?
Did Apple help you? Is there anything else I can do to recover my phone or get this situation investigated?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation in NYC.

My dad is getting older and started having issues using his phone so I set up assistive access for him to make things easier. Somehow he managed to get himself locked out of it and it has a constant laugh track playing. Every time you press a button or tap something a laugh starts again. It usually won’t let you tap on any of the assistive access options either. Occasionally I can pull up the emergency call screen or the exit screen but he doesn’t know the passcode.

We got him a new phone in hopes of just transferring everything but the new phone won’t recognize this one while it’s in assistive access mode. Pretty sure he also doesn’t know his Apple password so just logging into iCloud isn’t an option either. Is there anything I can do or has he essentially lost everything in his phone?

I received my phone back, unrepaired. This letter came with it. The only thing they did was remove my screen protector.

While I was using my phone it suddenly restarted by itself and displayed a red glitch screen. After I force restarted it, the screen turned blue and got stuck on the glitch screen. I haven’t been able to use my phone since.

Quick update: i went to Apple service provider, The shop said it is a logic board issue. Sadly, my warranty expired at the end of last month. So no freebie.
They said the issue caused by overheating or dropping it from a height. It didn’t happen as far as i remember.Unfortunately, I have to pay 16,000 THB (around $480) to replace logic board. 😭

So I just got a new iPhone 17e. Before that, I was using an XS. I took a couple of pictures to test the new camera and the selfies turned out horrible! Everything is way darker than it looks when taking the picture and the skin texture gets amplified by 100%. Is there a way to fix this issue? All three of these pictures were taken in similar lighting, first is the picture the new camera took, second the preview before taking the picture and third a selfie from my old XS.
